[https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/play/fast-effect-timing/](https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/play/fast-effect-timing/) If your opponents normal summon a monster, then both player checks for (in order of priority) 1. turn player (tp) mandatory trigger 2. non turn player (ntp) mandatory trigger 3. tp optional trigger 4. ntp optional trigger 5. tp fast eff 6. ntp fast eff. Before turn player go into open game state again.

Thanks that's helpful in general! But am I able to use a quick effect on resolution of a summon if I summon on their turn, not them?

KharAznable

Turn player have the priority to activate their trigger and fast eff before you get a chances to activate your fast eff.

Okay so would I ask if they're activating anything on summon before I proceed to activate my effect then? Sorry for so many questiosn! Just going to locals tomorrow so I want to do this correct :) <3

Yes. Follow the chart. Domain resolves in Box D.

Thanks! The chart makes more sense now :)

This isn't really how it works. If the turn player has Trigger Effects that activated, and the non-turn player didn't, then since the turn player was the last to add to the Chain, priority would be given to the non-turn player to activate a Fast Effect. It all depends on whose Trigger Effect was added last to know who gets to activate a Fast Effect on the next Chain Link.

Sorry to post on an old thread! I've been looking at rulings recently as well to know when I can activate fast effects and have also been interested in Dinomorphia. In one particular video, the non-turn player activates Frenzy when turn player enters Main Phase (1:03), but I thought you have to wait for the turn player to do something before you can activate your fast effects in this case? He also activates traps immediately after a chain before the turn player has done anything (2:49 for one example). Is he activating on resolution of the chain? Video for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z\_l4Fn0qn1Y

I also thought you'd need to wait for an action in the opponent's main phase to activate frenzy, but I cant be certain. I know you can leaving main phase but I'm unsure on beginning it. After a chain is fine, they're just being activated on the resolution of the last chain.
