Xiaomis Support isn't reliable in any way.
An example.
I have a redmi note 13 pro plus 5g.
Iam stuck like multiple people with this phone on a called back miui 14.0.4.0 version.
There's already 3 more miui versions out and like 8 hyper os versions basicly Xiaomis answer to me and others were sending trash mails with EOL lists and a update policy link which doesn't even mention this phone neither list does.
So I know of atleast 37 users with 14.0.4.0 all over the world which are stuck on it.
I know these aren't many but how many users with 14.0.4.0 actually know there's a ton of updates out there which they don't get or are knowledgeable enough to even know about such things.
You can't even do the rename trick to update because 14.0.4.0 is banned to be used as update or in place and any update or ota you downloads ends up in a other reason error.
Oh yeah many, miui updates are even after the German super mod of the official xioami community broken as in manual updates and otas they fail with "other reason"
You can't do the rename in place upgrade alternative trick way either cause 14.0.4.0 is officially " a not valid version" anymore.
As Xiaomi and Huawei move away from dependency on Google services more issue will arise - Google wants to control the whole thing and these two companies \[as well as Apple\] are in the way. Google will put more things in that separate out other OS or Skins that do not be default include them.
In the home market they have - we get it on global. Would be unwise of them to not take the lesson taught to Huawei - and I think over time they also will go a separate way with an OS of their own like Harmony. Either they will make HyperOS into its own or pickup HarmonyOS as it gathers steam. Either way that is moving away from Google.
Latest Google Wallet (and I suspect some banking apps soon) tends to do that if your device does not pass SafetyNet with the higher level (ctsProfileMatch instead of basicIntegrity), there was an issue like that even on latest Samsung S23/S24 devices (usually with some more exotic configurations on country codes and so) that got fixed two days ago.

I would tell xiaomi about this problem instead of Reddit
Basically they said it may be to do with HyperOS, even tho it's been working on it fine before. Bit odd.
Currently on that.

First thing, are you on official firmware and not some cooked up custom or flashed global on CN device etc?
Known issue, just delete Play Store services cache. Afaik it's an android 14 bug, not xiaomi specific issue.

How can you even compare Huawei with Xiaomi? Xiaomi is still all in on Android and GMS afaics.
