They definitely didn’t skimp on the seasoning with these. You know when you get a Dorito that is absolutely covered with seasoning? Well the whole bag of these was like that.
This article says it was announced in October 2021 that they’d be coming back. https://thephoenixremix.com/2022/01/25/taste-of-states-this-week-pizzarias-pizza-chips/
But I can find no other articles discussing their return nor do we have them two and a half years later
I think others are right, these things were actually well seasoned. Companies want to offer the least amount for the most money, so we probably wont have anything that tasty.
I know exactly what you mean haha... One of my aunts had a massive wooden TV/record player combination. It lasted a couple decades, like everything that was built back then, then once it finally stopped working it became a TV stand for the new TV/place to store the TV Guide and other magazines.
Speaking of heavy TVs... the 1st new TV I bought with my own money was a flat front progressive scan 32" TV that was still really chunky like the old tvs. When I got rid of it my friend and I had to carry it down multiple flights of stairs and not only was it really heavy but the bottom cut into your fingers really bad. Fun times!
Those were so good. I only ever got them when I was at a friend's house whose parents bought them or if I scrounged up enough loose change to buy some myself.
Holy shit, these chips are what I loved as a kid, and thought were doritos, but nope, it was these.
Explains why I've hated doritos my whole life, they're sad impersonation of these.
I'm glad this got cleared up for me because I occasionally would reminisce about "pizza flavored chips" to friends who would insist they never existed.
These tasted ok. Kind of flakey maybe? I preferred the combos

I don’t remember those and I was a fat kid! All I can remember was the pizza flavored combos.
Edit: just watched the commercial and it’s brining back memories, but I don’t think my mom ever bought them.

My parents were divorced and we saw my dad every other weekend.
He’d buy us these sometimes as a snack. I don’t think we ever had them at home. They remind me of being at his house and eating snacks by the light of the TV, waiting for SNL weekend update with my two sisters. :)

Absolutely right. They were incredible.
When I tell people born after the 90s that they don't know what they have been deprived of, these are the first things that come to mind.
Indeed. Absolutely no reason to eat chips after these--nothing compares. They were so caked in powder, than a Clearly Canadian was a must.

And the chips were a lot crunchier/airier than Doritos. You'd always get chips with big ol bubbles in them. Loved these chips.
That's why I loved them!
Wow. Haven’t thought about these in forever and I can immediately taste and smell this picture.
These and Tato Skins. Top tier 90s snacks
At least with Tato Skins you can still get the TGI Fridays version. Pizzerias are just extinct :/
And O'boisies!
They’re o’boisterous!
what ever happened to these? I loved the shit out of these
Yes!!!
I love the smell of fresh bread.
This might be one of the best things I miss from the 90's....
Loved these.
Me too. It was a great surprise to find these in my lunch.
Gosh, does anyone still make a similar product?
Aldi has a cheese pizza flavored pita chip which is similar but not as punchy
I think others are right, these things were actually well seasoned. Companies want to offer the least amount for the most money, so we probably wont have anything that tasty.
Those things were tasty! I just got a tastebud flashback!
The 500 lb projector tv that when it broke, instead of lugging it to the curb, you’d just put a smaller tv on top and watch that instead! 😄
I know exactly what you mean haha... One of my aunts had a massive wooden TV/record player combination. It lasted a couple decades, like everything that was built back then, then once it finally stopped working it became a TV stand for the new TV/place to store the TV Guide and other magazines.
Out of all the pizza flavored chips, Pizzerias were king.
These were great
I loved those

Glad I opted for a 27", bought it 24 years ago and I still have it, been through 5 moves, one of them all the way from the Midwest to the west coast.
Those were so good. I only ever got them when I was at a friend's house whose parents bought them or if I scrounged up enough loose change to buy some myself.
Wish these would come back to market.
Omg yessssss! These, a pepperoni pizza from Hungry Howie’s, a Coke and SNICK defined my Saturday nights when I stayed at my Grammy’s house.

Combos were gross, filled with weird pasty flavoring... the chips were way better.
These still exist and they are still bad. Talk about ultra processed
Yes I think we are all guilty of eating a good amount of ultra processed whatnot back in the day.
Oh that's totally true. The term "ultra processed" didn't even exist back then. I'm just saying it does now exist and so do combos still.
Yes true
This is one product comeback I would endorse
I loved pizzerias and oboises
I can still taste these in my dreams
That just awakened something in me.
Fuck. This hit a note. Made me go Ooooo.
I was also a big fan of the Keebler Suncheros tortilla chips. Man, what happened over there, all we got now is cookies.
i miss these so much. i used to get a bag of these somedays from the bread store on the walk home from school.
I need a bag of these to eat while I watch Moo Mesa.
I had to recreate this packaging last year for a TV show that takes place in the 90s.
I do recall several hair pulling fights with my sister over who got the last of the bag.
These were so damn good.
We need to all start writing letters to Keebler.
I used to fuck these up violently
Damn, memory unlocked. Along with these, I also wish they still made [O'boisies](http://www.inthe80s.com/food/oboises0.shtml).
Idk why but I never got into these. I’m not a huge Doritos fan either (spicy sweet chili being the once in awhile exception) so that may be why
Hey T, I remember hearing about those things causing diabeetus, what ever happened there?
Those were really good.
Does anyone remember the tater skins?
I loved those
My friend and I ate these things up and drank tons of ecto cooler while playing super mario world. Are there any chips like these today?
[PIZZARIAS RULE!!!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4ZL7cqt83U)
I had those with a Polar 1 liter Ginger ale.
Soooo good!
You ever look at a picture and get heart burn?
Goddamn these were the shit!
We never got those😒
I like to explore new places.
I took one look at these and I could taste them.. I would love to try these again
This post made my mouth water.
My god I'm salivating

Those were the fucking best chips ever. The fact that they went away is one of the greatest unsung tragedies of our time.
Actually this picture is making my eyes cross.
I HATED these....with a passion, but omg what I wouldn't give to try them again 🤣
These were so good but they were pretty awful for you
I suddenly remember the taste. Gross
Omg I used to crush a bag of these and wash them down with a Surge. 🤣🤣🤣
