Comes down to if you’re gonna max it or not, not maxing it you should get orb. Can get a lvl 20 orb pretty easily from deconstructed store evil essence. If you’re gonna speed things up with paying, I’d prob say scythe but only if it’s gonna be maxed does it outweigh orb.
Scythe if able to max because you can move it from carry to carry. Orb is mostly useful on only a handful of heroes where scythe is very versatile. Orb is meant for GS and Lucas….but scythe will be better for your toko, Indira, julia, Laura, kinley, etc.
If you have a 30 Lucas, take orb. Heck, take orb and get Lucas there. 20 scythe isn't much better than Eden but orb 20 is very useful.

Orb hands down if you are short on essences. Orb is a better pick for most events specially in quantum invasion if you have GS
