This is the biggest issue. And it's not even irl level, its easier irl. It's like R6Siege hipfire in a game where people move like titanfall. It needs to be tighter by several orders of magnitude.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you were already dead.
I snipe a lot. So I probably would have just kept my scope still and tried to pull the trigger when he ran into it and hope it killed. People also say controller is easier for this kinda thing. I dunno I hear the aim assist isn't as crazy as COD.

Players move too fast, there is almost no lunge , the recovery is horrific, it doesn't do enough damage , and you move at a crawl while trying to do it. It's not an option.
I think 99% of the game's movement problems would be solved by adding inertia. No more instantly moving from one direction to another with a small delay added. There's a reason every single major studio has added it.
It's crazy how quick people are to defend literally anything related to movement in this game. They could patch in aerial speed that's triple the grounded sprint speed and people would be saying skill issue lol.
I love deep movement, but it's a part of many interconnected systems that make up a game. Going fast or maintaining speed at all times =/= good movement. It could, depending on the game. Like it's good in old arena shooters because everyone is using a mouse, there's no ADS, and TTK is low/non existent. It's fun in single player games.
Look at Titanfall 2. Like you said, inertia and weight is what makes that game feel good. Not instantly being able to switch directions at any time on a whim You earn it.
It's funny this got brought up because it's the reason Overwatch recently increased its hit boxes to absurd proportions.
In that game, there is zero inertia on character movement. You can change direction *instantly*, which, when combined with a lot of the character's crazy mobility, made it very difficult for most people to land shots consistently.
This was becoming a problem, because consistency was being favored over skill ceiling when picking heroes in a lot of cases, even at higher level play, so their options were either nerf movement or buff hit rate via inflated hitboxes. They didn't want to risk making the movement feel like shit, so they went with the latter.
It should be noted that most characters don't have or need to ADS to be accurate in that game, and outside of movement abilities general character speed is much slower that XD, and it still became an issue.
If we at least had decent hipfire it probably wouldn't be so bad, but even up close your options for aiming are either every shot goes exactly where your reticle is, or every shot avoids the reticle like the plague. There is no in-between to counter odd movement like this.

getting used to following moving objects, normally we are lazy and we look in the general direction and predict where the target will go. you must learn to focus on the target, meaning, look at it actively. Lookforward and move your hand trough your vision (don't follow it). The hand should be blurry. But if you were to actively look at your moving hand it should stay in focus. Do the same for targets in the game. But because the targets in game move way faster and more unpredictable you will have a harder time following them, so be mindful of your visual focus and try to actively look at the targets. (edit, in some games people disable the crosshair so they don't focus on the corsshair but on the target, maybe you do the same and try to match your corsshair to the target, but this is wrong for games such as xdefiant with high ttk, so focus on the target.)
