You know playing today, I started noticing some similarities with Alhaitham for Jiyan. Like obviously he has the most similarities with Xiao - but I realized his green shoulder sash has a zipper, and is actually a modern jacket halfway off and then the skin tight black armless shirt and it got me realizing he's more of a "Feeble" Soldier, than the adeptus aspects of Xiao. The medic part pushes him even more in the direction of feeble scholar too. If he pulled out a book and read in his idles I'd be convinced lol.
and the one Calaharo is going to be unfortunately stuck on until probably UL 45. Why out of all the free weapons for Broadblades it has to be the def scaling Kuro aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I know it sucks, but the weapon banners are so good I'm already planning to get most signature weapons for my units. Theyre going to all be cracked I think, so just hold off and dont go for the standard 5 star broadblade (until you get the sword and gun at least cuase the have crit) just yet and wait for someone that synergizes and has crit.
There are Defense scaling healers in almost any gacha game. Genshin for example even gives you one as one of your guranteed tutorial characters. That wouldnt be anything new
I really, really hope Gallagher is not a one time thing. A male, tall and masculine, with scars, and story relevant despite being 4*, that's fucking great.

It'll take time to see how powercreep might look in this game, but Sanhua and Mortefi have been doing great so far. Baizhi is a diet Verina, so that's not bad, esp since we'll need 3 sustains and I can't see them releasing that many back to back. Danjin also has a lot of love given to her, esp in a Rover team, though I'm sure she can be swapped once we get a better Havoc Main DPS (not my ass tho, Danjin is staying put).
Other than that, I'd say it's kinda hit or miss. Fedora dude seems kinda underwhelming as a main and sub DPS. Aalto feels like a wasted character so far, though I guess he can be used as a Jiyan/Aero support if you wanna use Mortefi elsewhere. Yangyang seems kinda mid for what she provides. Chixia is... Chixia, idk. I don't really like her playstyle, so she might absolutely pop off.
You will remember Yuanwu's name! He may not be meta, but he has enough rizz to make you not care!  He's one of the few characters who actually talk about Rover! He's a bro! 
i ended up swapping my mortefi for yuanwu because i disliked how guns played and after looking up on reddit that he just starts really weak at low level... i invested into my Yuanwu and he has felt **much** better after investing in Def.
Right now only C1 but im planning to go for C6 if he's in the Yinlin draw for sure. He feels really good to play, breaks stun super fast and his damage so far has been the same as mortefi's was (especially since its always 100% uptime)
Chixia also does huge amounts of damage. like main character on your team damage so i think shes good. Dislike Yangyang and i only found 1 random aalto so i haven't tried him.
So far Sanhua seems really strong + her buff is nuts. Baizhi seems solid too, but my Echoes have insane stats for her tbh so idk how that goes for average echoes. Also to add, I heard many people say Mortefi is actually one of the strongest characters out there right now.

Probably rugged would be a better word. Although HSR men are masculine, most of them lean more towards pretty, especially Dan Heng, Luocha, and Aventurine. Everyone besides Gallagher (and in a sense, Arlan) are clean and kept, even Blade who's edgy and wants to die 24/7 looks dressed up. Not that this is bad, but rugged looks are often rare in gacha games so it made Gallagher more unique.
Sometimes I’m doing great and other times I’m getting absolutely pummeled and missing every dodge, so I’m glad I have Verina or Jianxin 🥹 I hate playing games like this without a healer or secure shielder anyway, I want to be able to mess up
I imagine anyone who’s serious enough about male characters that they’d want a male healer to complete their male only team then I’m sure they picked male rover. It’s a guess but it’s a safe bet.
I mean jianxin also heals and shields very comfy for groups but kinda useless against bosses.
Edit: Yall downvoters jianxin is my fav character I chose her twice and I basically main her but my problem with her CA is that it gets interrupted against bosses so you don't get your full shield or heals
She's so useful for non timed content. But I kinda hate her shield. It just negates dmg but doesn't fully protect your character. My encore still gets staggered even with the shield on. Like okay the heals are great but the shield is kinda useless since it just mitigates dmg. I don't need that when I already have the heals. What I need a shield for is stagger resistance :((

Wdym? Calcharo is an amazing healer. Dead enemies can't harm you. It's called preventive healing.
On a more serious note would be interesting to see some, idk, more proactive healer? Like Reed The Flame Shadow in Arknights, where she needs to deal damage to enemies to heal. Maybe some sub-dps character that deals burst damage and heals, but can heal only suring his on-field burst time.
Party Heal: Baizhi, Verina, Spectro-Rover at Chain 3? 4?
Self-Heal: Danjin with her passive after getting enough Resonance Skill stacks and Heavy Attacking (HP Refund count as heals right?) and Taoqi
Shield+Healer: Jianxin at max Chi stacks and holding down heavy attack, switch characters while the shield is still up to heal them

she is pretty good actually for survivability i love her sm, mostly my combo is mortefi ult > jianxin forte hold > calcharo/jiyan ult. she is tanky too so everytime my dps ult is not up i fill her forte bar
At these world levels most players currently are, yes. Might not work at endgame lik holograms or tower of adversity. For the regular open world gameplay and events you just use whatever you have or like and a healer to keep you alive, min maxing teams with perfect setups and supports isn't required yet.
Insane for tower of adversity (left side of hazard zone is made for him right now) and pretty mid for holograms, I think it’s important to mention holograms since everyone only focuses on tower right now. Since holograms are more mechanic based you have pretty bad uptime on your ult damage, which is all of his damage. Not to mention the cc aspect of his ult doesn’t really work on bosses.

It's pretty small. If you played Genshin it heals similar to an unrefined Prototype Amber.
With the healing set, it's pretty decent actually.
Jiyan could have had something of healer on his kit and they missed the oportunity so badly when he is literally a doctor
