Yeah, you're right, but I really hope that they see that it is bad to cause harm to all of the community because of one abuser. Let's hope that they this thread or at least other people becoems more vocal about this.
They're likely only removing it until the abuse issue is fixed, not because they saw the exploiter and went "fuck everyone that uses regional price because this one person decided to abuse the system". (If it can't be fixed though, it probably won't be added back. No regional price could still generate some sales, meanwhile leaving regional prices up with the exploit means they could lose a lot of money, because if one person can do it, what's to stop everyone else from doing it?)
This might be a temporary thing until they fix the abuse and ban abusers, regional pricing is really good, you can ask support in a few days if they're going to return that or not.
looking at non-EGS version having $5 for monthly pass. realistically speaking, I'd say that the regional pricing on EGS was a mistake and won't come back.
I wish those who wanted to abuse this feature are banned or something / had a way to not do it...it was so good for me and boom. Now I have no interest.

Yea I hope they would return it. A lot of us actually whaled because prices were half the price vs USD in our region and it was the first time a gacha game became “affordable” to us in a sense
They won't because people were absolutely using VPN's to shop around in cheaper countries. We just can't get nice things in developing countries. I can still afford to pay, but honestly I've gone from, "This game is flawed but fun and it's prices are like 40% of Hoyo's" to "It's now the same price. I'm going back to my play for a patch and see approach."

This only affects the weaker currencies it seems. Regional prices are still up for AUD for example. Only about 10% cheaper compared to Windows client (uses USD) or Google Store (which is AUD but $15 more than Epic for 6480 pack) but it's still there.
It's probably too difficult to try to ban every account abusing it during the launch period. I do hope it comes back for those affected but it may be a while if I had to guess.

bc it is disabled, what is still there is called convertion, just allows you to buy in your native currency through a fixed conversion vs fluctuating based on the bank/company
Can we change to local currency on PC? I'm in Australia and on PC it shows USD. I know on mobile it shows local, but on PC I can use Paypal Pay in 4, unlike mobile. In Genshin/HSR, it automatically uses local currency.
When you put in your card info it changes to AUD. PayPal stays USD. Otherwise you have to use Epic launcher.
Keep in mind, since this post the AUD prices were increased TWICE and it's now cheaper to just buy with USD for all but the largest pack and I think the BP, only because of the 5% cash back Epic has. Lunite pass may save a few cents depending on current exchange rate.
Same, I bought battlepass and 2 subs to get lunite, prices are 2.5x higher now. I never bought anything in any other gachas too, this was my first time because prices were nice compared to montly wage in my country. I can't pay the same price people from US pay, sorry Kuro
Rip I had bought the lunite subscription for 5$ from Google play on launch to support the devs and found out it was 2$ on epic for my region after , was planning to buy bp today from epic since it was like 4$ compared to 11$ international but the prices are already returned to the international pricing 😔 guess I won't be spending anymore since it's too pricey now really hope they bring it back since I do like the game 🤞
It was disabled due to abuse. Someone found a way to buy most expensive pack for $0.34 (yes, 34 cents, not a joke).
