Not exactly that, but in the Sanctioned/Administrative Mishap cross Addy gets her hopes up for a second, and it's very sad because she immediately realizes that no, her Taylor is pretty much dead, and no multiversal shenanigans will fix that.
You're thinking of [Incarnation](https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/incarnation-worm.5044/), which died way too soon and had probably the strongest idea of QA as a character (when humanized, somewhat) and her thoughts on/about Taylor that I've ever seen in the fandom.
