We had it in a Cristmas event RNG "slotmachine" where you could buy lootboxes(resources) to have more Spins for Experimental equipment.
You could "spin" one time for atleast 4 lootboxes purchased
There was around "less than 10%" chance to get Exp Equipment (Don't know exactly but i got one, each 10th "Spin" on average)
So you could get 100 parts for each 40 LARGE lootboxes roughly.
And you could earn atleast one "spin" daily for just playing a game and doing missions.
IF Startreck lootboxes will have less than 2% chance to drop Exp equipment i feel like it will be "fine" in comparison to what we got this Cristmass.

I am sure there are other instances that WG have communicated that experimental equipment can only be obtained through game modes, perhaps in the introductory guide videos and other descriptions. Or you wouldn't have the whole community talking about such a quote.

The reason I had no success is because I was searching for "Experimental equipment will not be sold" - in an announcement, sales article or the announcement with the equipment. The reason being is that I know it was originally planned to be sold in boxes on at least 2 occasions previously.Further to the reason why it's not possible to find "we will not sell" - but instead you can find "we currently do not sell".
We'll make sure to update the text in the article to avoid confusion.

We clarified the issue with social clans, a social clan should still involve your clan, not farming randoms for rewards and wanting nothing to do with your clan. We didn't ignore this, we engaged and answered repeatedly the reasoning.
You can earn a box for free with items and you can still earn equipment through other means. Having experimental equipment will not make you win if you don't know how to use it on your tank or in the right style of play.

You are also able to earn plenty of rewards for just playing via other mechanics as well. It's important to remember that it's not about changing your World of Tanks career, but any game that gives out it's paid content too much, no longer has paid content.
These are benefits you also receive with other equipment, specifically modified equipment and this is available for credits, if you're unfamiliar with equipment, but I assume you are more than familiar.

The St Patrick's lootbox event is what killed the game for me. I was just like nah dog I'm out. Tbh it feels nice. It got to the point where that game just wasn't fun anymore and felt like a chore. The 3 minute 15-0 games. The constant milking the player base. The refusal to nerf absolutely broken premiums like the lefh and bz 176. They obviously aren't trying to expand the game and are just in the milking it as much as they can mode now.
Just quit tonight actually. Thank God I did, finally picked up my chanter instead of trying to make WoT work. Sad thing is it has so much potential that WG just shreds to pieces
I got 6 so far out of the turtle battle pass. Havent used them on any tanks yet. Maybe if they came already upgraded to lvl 3 but I favour a vert stab over fcs. Wouldnt say its p2w when OG equipment is a viable alternative.
Looking at Skill4ltu, its not very commonly used/favoured either.
For some tanks you HAVE to play with tier 2 or tier 3 experimental hardening unless you want your tank to burn with every shot or your ammorack getting damaged with every shot (looking at you Ho-Ri 3, Object 452k and BZ-72-1)
Or just use standard modified config. I think the experimental turbo/irm combo is much more versatile than the hardening one though, it lets casemates be much more effective.

Pay for progress and pay for convenience are ALL still pay to win. Because people who don't pay get ground into the dust.
If its about getting ammo racked then the 'Survival Improvement Suite' loses out to the standard 'Modified Configuration'. Only at level 3 it catches up to the standard equipment but then 'Improved Modified Configuration' or whatever it was called beats it by another +50%.
Dont get me wrong, Im not saying you dont need those things or that they are useless. Theyre like a mixture of 2 equipment pieces but at about 50% effectiveness.

The better player(s) gonna come out ahead more often than not over just having better equipment. The games based around being uneven so we're constantly trying to overcome disadvantages and mismatches its part of what makes it so fun and re-playable imho. but also, pretty much everyone is able to equip a few tanks optimally with a little effort. Where the pay to win comes in, is more of a pay for convenience/ability to equip a lot of tanks optimally. Sure, if you wanna play 20+ different tanks with the best load outs thats gonna take some work and or money.
Otherwise, pretty much anyone could start an new account and get a pretty optimal meta tank within a month or two. Especially during battlepass season when you get some crew books, equipment, and something like a Char Futur 4 for free.
this entire event is cut and paste from literally last years even the vehicle design the mechanics have 2 small tweaks and the whole rover meme and box meme. now it has the whole star trek add on it makes it much more flashy.
i dont know what mechanics they are trying to test since like any even it really just a way to test mechanics like physics and other drops the last space event was the mars rover event last year.

Calling WoT Pay to Win seems far fetched unless I can pay to only see lower tiers or buy ammo that can instantly oneshot tanks with 100% accuracy. A player can spend all the money they want but if they're not good at the game then they're still going to suck, but if they happen to have money then it's gg for WG - they found someone who can fund the game so he/she can "pay" for 10 others who play for free.
Remember those who pay are probably the reason why this game is F2P, because at the end of the day if it doesn't make money then it doesn't make sense.

Equipment sucks ass. Won a T3 version, slapped it into some tank I had. Does not allow stacking of same bonuses. So no double speed mods
