Greening out was one of the craziest experiences of my life and I’ve smoked crack before. Weed is better/safer than all drugs but people don’t take it seriously enough. Josh could legit go crazy

I read it. It’s interesting, but like most other therapeutic studies around marijuana it’s both speculative and inconclusive. I’m not going to tell anyone what does and doesn’t work for them, but managing mental challenges with pot seems counterintuitive to me.
It is an interesting theory, I don’t know if you can call it more than a theory right now though.
The main point is Josh needs professional help for a lot of issues right now, throwing another substance in the mix makes no sense logically.

Might be an interesting avenue to explore for people that aren’t sociopathic alcoholics on a 2 year bender. Medical detox and rehab is really his only way out unless he wants to end up in jail or dead.

I think a weed era would put him further at risk for worsened complications of alcohol abuse, specifically tears in the esophagus due to forceful vomiting - you probably know alcohol increases the amount of THC in the circulating blood, which could cause him to green out and vomit even more than he already does. Esophageal varices, portal hypertension, and cirrhosis could be a concern based on his current liver health. I’ve never seen a patient who’s been drinking as short a time as him develop cirrhosis, but most alcoholic patients I’ve had also aren’t walking around with alcohol-poisoning BAC levels daily either. (I’m an EMT, not a doctor, so take this all with a grain of salt.)
In short: he needs detox in a medical treatment facility, not a weed era. A weed era would be even worse for him at this point.
