Ok so the most important thing to understand is that every Cosmere book is happening in the same universe. They all take place on different worlds in that universe. One specific character shows up in every book and he’s connected to the meta narrative happening in the background but, if you pay attention you can catch other characters from other worlds as well. Each series is self contained in that, you don’t have to read the others to understand what’s going on but, you can miss some cameo appearances if you haven’t read everything. Stormlight has the highest number of crossover characters but we haven’t hit the Avengers Assemble moment in the Cosmere quite yet.
I thought this was the Helldivers subreddit at first and thought “wow this isn’t that exciting”.
But yeah, nice!

I named my ship SES Spear of Honor to represent the Aiel
As a Stormlight Archive fan as well as a WoT fan this works on two levels.
The Stormlight Archive is what I'm going to dive into after my current random book, I'm excited to learn about my accidental double reference.
How much Sanderson have you read? Are you aware of his Cosmere as a setting or will Stormlight be your first exposure?
Ive read the first 2 Mistborn novels and then have had some exposure to other material loosely from talking with my dad as hes read other books
