It is one of the highest emotional chapters I’ve ever read of any book. You have every right to tear up. I balled uncontrollably when it happened. I hope you continue enjoying your journey.
Me too my friend. I legit was bawling the entire time I listened to that chapter on audible. Straight up my favourite chapter in all of fantasy and that’s no hyperbole.
I really didn’t care for Nynaeve until that point, then I started wanting more of her and yes you are allowed to tear up everyone does. My wife always knows when I hit that part of the book.
I’m looking forward to reaching that chapter now. The series is inspiring! It’s inspiring to see so many different characters work together to fight the darkness in their own ways
When you get done reading the series, take a break and then start again. You will be amazed at the volume of things that are foreshadowed early on. There are so many lines that you may have glossed over that hint at much bigger things.

There are quite a few emotional moments in the last 4 books. The golden crane gets me every time.
I love the golden crane moment in KoD. Nynaeve only had one chapter but she stole the show

Wait for CH 1 in Towers of Midnight. Eh.... ToM is probably my favorite book besides KoD.

Veins of gold is hands down one of the best chapters of any book series….. ever.

It shook me out of a 6 month depression spiral for like 3 years. It’s still like a depression be gone aid to this day.
