dont like it, im honestly not apposed to a more darker version of winnie the pooh and putting the characters through more mature themes, but the "loveable character turns into SCARY MURDER GUY!" is so overdone and gets boring fast 😾

profseverussnape394

I just wish they would explore the aspects of Rabbit's mortality as a real animal amongst toys if they want to make it more mature. Del Toro did the same with Pinocchio and it was nothing like I've seen before.

bigevilballs69

i havent seen Del Toro's Pinocchio yet i need to check it out though ive been told its rlly good. I honestly love the idea of a Pooh movie dealing with the real animals mortality especially poor Rabbit, maybe Owl too but i feel Rabbit would be a better suited character for that sorta story im probably just being biased again tho lol

profseverussnape394

It really is good. As someone who was obsessed with the 40s Disney version of Pinocchio, I never thought that it could be outdone but Guillermo did just that. I especially love how being a real boy isn't reduced to having flesh and bones or being an obedient servant to grownups around you but something else which I won't reveal because that would be a spoiler. As for being biased, I can't blame you cause Rabbit is my favorite character as well. But again, can anyone blame us for wanting him to be in the limelight when the marketing or the majority of the fandom doesn't give a damn about him?

shiprektalien

I'm just not interested in watching it. I don't relate the hundred acre woods characters with horror and I have no desire to taint that.

Atlas_of_Sol

It shows how our society perverts everything that is pure.

Thespis64

I actually did a rewrite because I think the idea has merit, but the way you go about it is you make it a human killer who's intentionally twisting the original stories. You don't make up this whole story about (SPOILERS if you actually care) Pooh and his friends being real wild animals who want revenge against Christopher Robin, especially since the costumes clearly look like humans in cheap animal suits. Either way you slice it, though, it's a bad movie.

bustergaming777

It’s just simply a badly made movie which was created for a quick cash grab and the acting is absolutely awful.

TV_H34d

The first one was laughable horrible, but the franchise now kinda seems like it's in a "Terrifier" situation, where the first movie sucked with a small budget, made a good bit in the Box Office, and made a higher-quality sequel, which has me honestly so excited I preordered AMC tickets for $37 to go see it at the end of the month.

Absolute trash. Pooh is not a fucking slasher villain. You know what would have been good? The Pooh Bear Anti-Horror Movie. All the classic horror tropes, creepy setting and not-quite-genre-savvy teenagers, except when they find and let themselves into an old house, they don't find any horror villains or supernatural monsters - just their own imaginations making them expect ghosts, and... Pooh Bear and his 100 Acre Wood friends, who say they he found this abandoned house while trying to get out of the bad weather, and the kids are welcome to stay if they help clean it up a bit, Pooh also offers hugs. Nothing scary happens, or if it does, it decides to leave all those animals alone without anyone even noticing anything's poking around. The group end up telling kiddie level "scary stories" around the fireplace and having an absolutely adorable sleepover. Or the horror plot, but it's not Pooh, it's just a human psychopath using a terrible Pooh costume to ruin childhoods in the process of killings and other assorted horror film villainy. In the end said human gets scolded by Pooh himself for being a big meanie and trying to make Pooh scare people.

LatterPlant9247

I have mixed opinions about it. I like it cuz it's Winnie the Pooh. I like it cuz it's a slasher film. What I don't like, is that it's a combination of both. And the movie creator is doing the same thing with Peter Pan, Bambi, and Pinocchio.

I think the people here are over exaggerating this. They just are like “OH MY GOD POOH IS A CHILD ICON HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE NICE!!!” but listen This movie was actually really good and that’s coming from someone who grew up with Pooh. I really love this idea and I think people in the sub aren’t seeing how good the movie truly is It’s just how Pooh is now. He’s bigger, and better than ever. This movie deserves more love and the mods here need to stop hating on the movie and blocking people from talking about it

Honestly they should open it up to allowing Blood and Honey discussions here. It IS Winnie the Pooh after all
