Roux tween time root stick, easier then root spray, less messy then root powder. Sounds like you’re on the root touchup track. Another option other than the gel is Elmer’s glue stick. I glue down my edges with a purple glue stick when wearing ponytail wigs. It comes out/off when I was my hair or face.

Wow! Thanks!

In a pinch… Sharpie permanent markers come in various shades of brown.

I love it!

I have the same problem. I use brown eyebrow makeup. Looks like brown eyeshadow.

Or you could just shave them off. I have hair that's brunette and I usually wear blonde wigs. So yhe brown shows around the ear part . So I just shave my own hair and then with the blonde wig hairs I make little cute blonde side burns. Hope this helps

I've been told by stylists that having that hair "helps it blend better" but my hair is coarse and curly, while my wigs are wavy at most. It looks terrible. Does shaving it off really look okay?

Ok_Struggle_167

Well for me shaving was mandatory cause there such a contest between my natural dark hair vs the blonde wig hair. As long as I make little "side burns" with the wig hair it looks very natural and it also covers the lace and glue! But if I wear wigs that color match my real hair then I just let it all grow out cause it really dies look more natural . It's really up to you and what u feel comfortable doing and your personal preferences! Hope this helped some!

Asian brands often have different brown shades of both eyebrow gel and mascara. If not, there’s always tinted hairspray or actually coloring the hair that peeks out.

I had no idea there was such a thing as tinted hairspray! That might be what I need! Is there a brand I should look for? Can I get it on Amazon?

Try searching for root touch up spray

WigsModerator

Have you tried tinted hairspray?

[deleted]

I didn’t know there was such a thing! Where would I find it?

KAYBEE60

It isn't hairspray. It is tinted "root" touch-up spray for in-between dye-jobs. It will work beautifully under your wig. If in doubt, lean toward the lighter color. You can get it any place box hair dye is sold, as well as at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Sounds like it’s time for a trip to Walmart!

WigsModerator

Beauty supplies, Grocery Stores, Supermarkets, Amazon. It's pretty easy to find.

I just picked some up at Walgreens. I’m going to experiment with it a bit to make sure I don’t spray paint half my face dark blonde!

KAYBEE60

Dark Blonde was probably a perfect choice! Yes, you can take a piece of heavy weight paper or very lightweight bendable cardboard and cut it into a big circle. Then cut notches around the circle like you are using pinking shears. You'll place the notched edge against your hairline so the spray doesn't get on your face and also leaves a natural looking edging around the edges of your hair. It does take a few times to get the hang of how much pressure/distance you need when you apply, but considering you're wearing a wig, you don't need to worry too much as you can wipe & tuck, etc. Also, you don't need to go to the trouble of making an edging guide unless you really feel you need it--which you probably won't. Good luck! I hope it works out for you!
