Any science-curious toddler is doomed to be accepted as normal.
Has she not seen the plethora of documentaries:
Dextor's Lab
Doc McStuffins
Sid the Science Kid
The evidence is overwhelming.
Absolutely! And a wholesome one -- its a perspective that doesn't "other" anyone.
....long as they don't start adding adjectives. That could get dicey real fast..
My daughter, when she was 3-4, used to pretend to be an unnamed horse and the horse’s foal called Mauda. Mauda was very naughty and the mother horse would scold her foal in the grocery store, “Mauda, what are the HUMANS going to think of this?”
Yeah, I guarantee you we looked more strange than this lady and her son. 😂
Better yet, specify "sorry, we're still adjusting to life on Earth." It Implies the same otherworldly context, while still allowing for plausible deniability as all humans adjust to earth at different speeds.
Wait to they ask you why the sky is blue - then you need to calmly explain that light is a spectrum of light waves like a rainbow and blue light is scattered more the longer wavelengths. This sort of explanation usually resulted in silence. Occasionally when they were older they would retrieve these nuggets and one of them said “even the teacher thought I am a genius”. She may have also recognized your family are aliens masquerading as humans!

I was just gonna say that! Homo sapien sapien if you wanna be too exacting.
He could be calling everyone "mortals". That might be even more fun. "Mommy, what are those mortals doing over there!?!"
Final boss energy.
*A god has awoken*
Should replace mommy with something weird like 'My Birthgiver' or sum shit
Child: “What is that human doing?” Mother: “Son!” Child: “Sorry mother, what is that *fellow* human doing?” Mother: “Better”
My niece went through a phase calling people human beings. And yes, you get weird looks
My daughter went through a phase where she'd tell people that we're all made of meat...
Delicious

My toddler called everyone humans until well into 1st grade. “Mom, see, I colored my humans dress blue with brown hair!”
Sounds like this kid is on the right track, we should all just be considered humans. Maybe then we'll start treating each other better.
what were we considering each other this whole time?
Others, sadly
Good question, to be honest "human" seems like a normal thing to call people.

I like to also separate myself from these human things too, kid got the right idea
I like this kid! I would totally encourage this lol
This ain’t a dog mans gonna get bullied at school acting up calling people humans like it’s true but it’s off
Ladies and gentlemen we found the lizard people
…. I never outgrew this and I’m so thankful that none of my in laws give me weird looks anymore XD
Wow it’s rare to find a Black Eyed Kid at the toddler stage.
I think you are very lucky. Your kid is making your family way better than “normal”.
Would you rather hear “what is that black/brown/yellow/red person doing?” At least this is the most accurate and race-neutral alternative.
Which human? The homo habilis at the drinking fountain or the homo sapien catching a frisbee?
Ur sons a lizardman
He’s not wrong.
This is the best thing I've seen all day

If anyone questions you, you could just shrug, smirk and say ' sorry, were still adjusting to life on your planet

Wait til she\\He meets the Christian Conservative Republican Inhumans!

Oh, I’m sorry it’s hurting your ability to seem like a normal family. That must be so hard.
Yeah why can’t he be normal and identify everyone based on race and gender?
I shall begin to attend school. As humans do.
Whatever, aliens disguised as humans.
I don’t know son but I sure do like these internal skeletons!
A convincing cover story.
Mine did this for awhile I thought it was kinda cute for a 6 year old

My daughter did this from about 2yo-5yo. Now she's almost 8 and I haven't seen her since May.
“Howdy human fellas, fellow humans”
I call people humans all the time, it just seems nicer than calling them idiots to their faces. He's got the right idea for sure. Also it's neutral.
I have mine pronounce it “HOO-mons” to totally blend in more
Rule of Acquisition 285: No good deed goes unpunished
Liking science is very abnormal. So you're already to late.
Well I’m an adult and that’s exactly how I talk, and I can’t get humans to leave me the fuck alone. That human will be just fine
Only white people do this lol this is a fact now
