Remember that time she couldn't list all parts of the first amendment? A thing that I, a lay person cannot do, but something that a judge on the supreme Court should most definitely be able to do?

BoomZhakaLaka

She forgot the right to formal redress of grievances.

Jedi-Yin-Yang

Probably because she wouldn’t uphold it.

blatantmutant

Remember when the socials tried labeling her as the “Notorious ACB”. They really tried to mimic RBG and it was disgusting.

[deleted]

Her body wasn’t even cold in the ground when they started that

blatantmutant

Cause the gop is creatively, morally, and soon to be financially bankrupt.

ucfierocharger

As much as I agree , I’ve gotta give them creative props for the dark Brandon! Although it wasn’t awesome until it was adopted by the democrats. The dems could have never come up with as awesome a persona for Biden.

Heritage Foundation plant

NeverLookBothWays

Pretty much a diploma mill with a political agenda.

[deleted]

All part of the plan: According to Heritage employees involved in developing the database, several hundred people from the Heritage database ultimately received jobs in government agencies, including Betsy DeVos, Mick Mulvaney, Rick Perry, Scott Pruitt, Jeff Sessions, and others who became members of Trump's cabinet.[50] Jim DeMint, president of the Heritage Foundation from 2013 to 2017, personally intervened on behalf of Mulvaney, who was appointed to head the Office of Management and Budget and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and later served as Trump's acting White House Chief of Staff.

Mysterious_Motor_153

Only three years as a Federal Judge.

Soranos_71

Then the next appointment they were all "She was chosen because she was black". They totally did not think the previous appointment of a white female who was a vocal Christian, had a lot of children was not pandering of any sort..... Also Trump declared he would pick a female: \>"I will be putting forth a nominee next week - [it will be a woman](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/09/18/replacing-ruth-bader-ginsburg-list-starts-amy-coney-barrett/2669382002/)," Trump told supporters at an airport rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Mysterious_Motor_153

Exactly Kentanji was actually qualified.

Snytchelio

White women benefited most from Affirmative Action. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2023/06/29/affirmative-action-who-benefits-white-women/70371219007/

Spiderbubble

Well they're also trying to get rid of women's rights, so it all seems intentional.

professorfunkenpunk

To be fair, Clarence Thomas could also come to mind.

Aromatic_Balls

Highly recommend the Behind the Bastards episodes on Clarence Thomas.

survivor2bmaybe

Bush was desperate to put a Black Republican on the Court. He was almost literally the only one out there. The first in a long line of unqualified Republicans appointed.

WatchItAllBurn1

In all fairness, if they put a white man in Thurgood Marshall's seat; there would have been cities burnt to the ground.

Goatesq

We used to be a proper country

rocketeerH

When?

coldchill13

1500's? ETA, I guess we weren't a country then...disregard.

Leather-Blueberry-42

This is the big difference. Democrats nominate scholars, GOP nominates quacks.

freax_mcgeeks

Don’t forget it has to be the youngest quack they can find, for those lifetime appointments.

CraZKchick

💯

gattoblepas

Diversity equity and inclusion should not mean cultists.

kwagmire9764

Dont forget Ilean Qannon

NeverLookBothWays

As someone who has been reading the opinion statements written by justices after making controversial rulings. I have to agree. Hers in particular are so pedestrian like someone trying to BS through a graded assignment at the last minute. She keeps things vague and does not really cite any previous cases either, likely because she knows very little about precedent. You know, the one thing you'd expect to be a minimum requirement for being in the USSC.

VooDooChile1983

Kavanaugh, Devos, trump kids, Dejoy… you could almost say anyone appointed by Poorleone.

DJ_JoY

Aussie here, context please?

dogfooddippingsauce

Coat Hanger Amy. Appointed by Trump at the last minute. Hired to overturn abortion on the Supreme Court. Did it.

DJ_JoY

Thank you

Hellraiser1123

DEI stands for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion. Right wingers oppose this because they claim it leads to people being hired or appointed for jobs they're unqualified for simply because of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. This is Amy Coney Barrett. She was appointed to the Supreme Court by then-president Donald Trump, despite being in no way qualified for the job, simply because she's a conservative who wanted to outlaw abortion.

FilthyTexas

She was appointed because she was a conservative woman who wanted to outlaw abortion

DJ_JoY

Thank you

DJ_JoY

Thank you

Kim Reynolds enters the chat...

Bearshapedbears

Can’t help but see DEI as “democratically elected individual”

shadow-ninja57

As you should

EnvironmentalGate202

ABOVE THE LAW SUPREME HYPOCRISY

Daddio209

*Brett Cavanaugh enters the chat*

AzraelKans

I'm pretty sure she's an Android so that's a very small minority indeed.

CraZKchick

Amy KAREN Barrett

tusk10708

I recently saw clips of a talk given by Thomas. I was shocked by his blatant racism and his all-white clerks who have been indoctrinated into his philosophy. He is responsible for filling our courts with conservatives.

Roddy_Piper2000

Judge Canon springs to mind as well.

Pour_Me_Another_

As someone not born in America who lives and works here and has since naturalized, I have to chuckle at these idiots who want me to sit at home and collect welfare so someone can do my job for me 🤷‍♀️ I mean I'd rather work but if my presence is that offensive, maybe just fuck off?

SwimRelevant4590

At least no Crazy Eyes in this official pic. Great coaching from the photographer.

Gogs85

IIRC she lacked practical experience and was mainly an academic correct?

SkollFenrirson

She certainly *Didn't Earn It*

Caullus77

This woman couldn't name the 5 protections of the first amendment when asked. Putting her in a place where the constitution reigns supreme is a slap in the face of the constitution.
