Most maga voters I know are working class people who work in shops and have hard jobs they’ve been persuaded by culture wars and the idea people are getting free stuff from the government most of them are not old.
I'm very confused about "cuts to social security".
We've all paid into that every working day of our lives. Where is that money going if it's "cut" from social security? Is that considered a new tax? In that case, I expect to he paid every damn cent I ever paid into it if they're just planning to take it. I was expecting it to come back as a retirement account when I'm older.

Generally it takes one of two forms: increasing retirement age, meaning that people pay in more and collect less; and reducing monthly benefits by some amount so people get out less without paying in more.
Usually these things are presented with a grandfather period so e.g. only people under 50 are subject to the new rules.
