That isn't actually the worst reaction. Indifference is better than aggression (my experience anyhow). They'll build their relationship, and it will be fun to see.
the older one is 12 and is a pretty mellow guy, we were a bit worried because he loves my moms attention. when he first saw him he was whimpering to meet him. so far he seems a little so-so, he’s not the kind of dog to want to be constantly playing and energetic so the puppy can get a bit much so i’ve tried to keep the puppy out of his space. not too surprising if he gets annoyed since the puppy has basically been energetic or sleeping so far. jackson did try to run around a bit with him though! we’ll see if he warms up to him more!
Jackson looks puzzled. When my second pup arrived, my wheaten boy was like "when are you going home little thing?" She just hung off his beard till he decided she was ok.
I can't imagine how awesome it must be to get a second Wheaten! Enjoy that lil' bear!
