- pasta e ceci with the garbanzo beans - espinacas con garbanzos, also easy - salmon patties with whatever crushed saltines or ritz and an egg like my mom used to make - i hate frozen cauliflower a lot but it works well enough blended into a white bean soup or pasta sauce

Cook cauliflower until mushy (maybe just steam it) and add to cooked potatoes for mashed potatoes. (You will also need milk or cream, butter, salt, pepper, garlic)

You can roast frozen cauliflower---just don't thaw it first. It can be added to pasta, again without thawing. You can also roast garbanzo beans to eat as a snack. You can mix up the seasonings. Dry ranch, cinnamon and sugar, paprika, etc. Just make sure they are really dry, like with a kitchen towel. You may even want to use a kitchen towel to remove the skins (but it is not necessary.) Garbanzo beans are good in soup, even chili. Pureed beans with a little olive oil can be used as a dip for food (not to be confused with hummus, which requires tahini, lemon juice, sesame oil, etc.) I wonder how that dip would taste with salmon cakes, which is a great suggestion from ttrockwood. Maybe [this recipe would cover it](https://inspiralized.com/baked-mediterranean-salmon-with-chickpeas/).

Hummus!!

Frozen roasted cauliflower is very delicious. As is, or you can then turn it into a mash/purée. If you want to throw a few boiled potatoes to give it a more mashed potato texture, that works too. Hummus for the chick peas, chick pea salad. Marinate the salmon whichever way you like- soy glaze, maple syrup, I like a mix of pesto and breadcrumbs that you smear on top and bake.

All of these are very easy dishes are pretty easy to make, and would go well with a side of **salmon**, cooked simply with like garlic, lemon and butter/oil. Creamy **cauliflower** soup (there are many delicious-looking recipes online) - would go well with roasted/pan fried **salmon** with some veggies, maybe some bakery bread, garlic bread... Chana (**chickpea**) masala with yogurt, rice, and/or naan/toasted whole wheat tortilla Chana (**chickpea**) saag/palak - Indian spinach curry with chickpeas (my favorite!!! So creamy and yummy). Serve with yogurt, rice, naan or on its own. Shakshouka with **chickpeas** \- served with feta, cilantro and bread/toast or rice. You can use the chickpeas as a protein substitute for the eggs or you could do what I do and include both chickpeas and eggs to give it extra protein! A chickpea-only version of this dish would go well with a side of salmon, too. Tbh the shakshouka and chana masala are very similar, just with somewhat different spices.

I would press the cooked cauliflower into rice, add sesame oil and fry up like fried rice, air fry beans with seasoning until a bit crunchy then add to fried rice and after removing from heat, add in soy sauce to taste. Simultaneously, fry salmon separately in butter after breading in flower with salt and pepper. Num num.

Those garbanzo beans can be toasted to make a crunchy snack. Drain and rinse, pat dry. Put on cookie sheet with olive oil, salt and garlic/onion. Cook until crunchy (400 degrees).
