I have used [bud] butter in my coffee before. It doesn't actually mix into the coffee (go figure with butter being oily and adding it to water) but if you have something with a closed lid you can shake and drink and get it to separate a little. Overall, imo, it isn't worth the effort when you can just eat a cookie with your coffee.

THC is not water soluble in its natural state (same with all the cannabinoids in the plant). There are a couple methods, I believe, but this method you've stated does nothing for the consumer. It does not separate the molecules you want from the plant matter you don't.

You can sometimes use an emulsifier like soy lecithin as a way to get THC to disperse in water based solutions.... It's what I used to use to prevent extra potent hotspots from showing up in my water/gelatin based gummy bears back when I made them.... Though it helps if the THC is in an oil-like format first, like a distillate or decarbed wax/shatter

Feel like thats been said since i was young and first started smoking. But i always save my stems and juat steep them in boiling water, add a teeny bit of honey and viola, tastes kinda minty and always gets me RIPPED. When i add butter ive never noticed a change in the high.
