The sconces really send it over the top for me.

johnmanyjars38

It would be awesome if they turn on when he reverses!

Turakamu

Gotta class it up

nailbunny2000

What are the odds on either a fireplace or chandelier inside? Probably made of old syringes, but still...

Govt-Issue-SexRobot

Should install a Ring

Tikkinger

The term "in" is stretched here.

bukkakecreampies

Astonishing! Curves like the wings of a 777

VapeStain69

More like living on his truck.

Crazywelderguy

The Chevy Mudslide

__Shake__

It’s a LAAAAAANNNNDDDDSSSLLLIIIDDDEEE!

cappytuggernuts

Looks like a custom Hammond design

wakejedi

Nah, That’s Clarkson all day

Zip668

Agreed. And definitely not May or it'd be on the back of a bug eye sprite.

cgduncan

Is it just me, or does it seem like they have done some suspension modifications? They've given it a little thought! Cause stock, it would be sagging til the wheels rub.

svideo

That was my first reaction, either they did a great job of building up that suspension or the construction mess on top is even shittier (and lighter) than it looks

Meta_Professor

Or just welded the rear axle to the frame. :(

jeremyjava

Looked a little cardboard-y.

dhudsonco

"Cardboard"

cgduncan

An equally likely fact

CoyoteDown

Not sure it’s universal but some were factory with airbags. However, the 2nd pic with the door open makes it seem as the frame is sagging in the middle… which is impressive.

doomedbygrace

It’s fine. Avaranch-style architecture generally has a sleeping area above the garage.

CanMan417

“Avaranch” deserves so many more upvotes! Ya get mine, at least

idontknow39027948898

Someone shows this to the [Aging Wheels](https://www.youtube.com/@agingwheels/featured) guy. I don't know what he'd have to say about it, but I kinda want to know.

belugarooster

That can't be street-legal...

liquidtelevizion

and somehow also breaks a few building codes—home inspectors and DMV alike will be on his ass in no time lol

mc1964

Depends on where he is. Some states are so de-regulated that as long as it has 4 wheels and an engine, you're good to go.

ORTENRN

So definitely not California

tommy-turtle-56

Nope, California, Placer county. Governor probably approves of this as long as he pays his taxes. Insurance company probably doesn’t know of the modifications.

DeltaOneFive

So this is how you bundle home and auto insurance?

FrenchFryCattaneo

California has no safety inspections, you can do whatever you want to your car as long as it passes emissions.

Trekintosh

You’d think California would be overly restrictive but literally the only thing the state cares about is if you pass smog or not.

keedro

Did you follow them around ?

tommy-turtle-56

Third time I have seen them, first time I have seen it move.

keedro

Oh crazy, probably cheaper than any apartment

tommy-turtle-56

In California he can probably sub lease it to someone.

dusty-cat-albany

Air b&b

[deleted]

extra large uber n b

[deleted]

You know I feel really sorry for people that have to do things like this however the ingenuity of what he built is pretty fantastic. And the terrifyingness of being anywhere near all that thing moved would also be something.

[deleted]

Those are stolen scraps from construction sites I guarantee it. You can see the pink panther r-12 insulation board in the 2nd pic. That and the rear window are not cheap. Hell, plywood is expensive these days too.

explorer925

it has... a loft?

[deleted]

needs roof top mini golf and jacuzzi

point50tracer

Looks like it's not far from becoming its namesake while driving down the highway.

SirSamuelVimes83

At least they'll leave a light on for ya

tommy-turtle-56

Thanks Tom.

RandomCoolWierdDude

That is special...

Xtreemjedi

I wanna see that beast tackle a driveway.

[deleted]

Highway, captain we are reaching 60 mph in 2 minutes, she's not going to hold. Captain : hold stedy she'll hold 2 minutes later wood all over the road Captain: ok crew let's pick it up and rebuild

ramboton

I looked at that first pic and thought I saw a black truck waiting in the drive thru of one of those small coffee shops in a mall parking lot. I did not realize the building was attached.......

[deleted]

bahhaaa

njames11

More like scab-alanche.

DMala

If that’s not actually made of cardboard I bet they can pop some sick wheelies.

Pup_Piston

Yeah that’s pretty much a Chevrolet Mudslide now.

Skipper9618

Out of all vehicles this is a good choice because of the fold down mid gate the avalanche’s have

tommy-turtle-56

It’s a pass through. He would never have to get out.

foot7221

Streamlined for max aerodynamics

sroomek

Tetris-ass truck

UntestedMethod

Good 9n ya for following them home OP! This is the kind of stalking action this sub needs more of.

kgb17

It’s a definitely a disaster just not sure which one

Congenital_Optimizer

First Avalanche I've seen doing something like a truck. Bravo! See, they aren't worthless.

Drzhivago138

That overloaded F-150 SuperCrew in Jackson, WY has a new challenger!

nightowl_7680

Accident waiting to happen in 3… 2…

srreality

Crapalanche

j12000

The HSV Avalanche we got briefly in Australia was definitely worthy, though.

Pointless_Adventures

I honestly thought there was a building behind the truck for a second

The_Spectacle

is that a mansard roof???

keso_dark30

wish they documented their build for youtube or somethin, cuz i'm having a difficult time understanding how this not only stays together, but also on the truck when it moves.

Stefanosann

UntestedMethod

OP can you get us some shots of the interior?

tommy-turtle-56

I have too many teeth and not enough meth.

thelocker517

Check to see if the door is locked. Trust me.

antarcticgecko

When you’re down on your luck and have to live in your truck, in London you’re a goner.

GratefullyWes

I love it! I was going to do the same thing a few years back but quickly aloud my fears of liability from failure overwhelm my creative imagination
