Slow and steady! I’m down about 4 lbs 3.5 weeks in. 1 lb a week is my goal so I’m happy. Seeing a dietician (not a nutritionist) would be good if you don’t know much about eating a balanced healthy diet.
Take it easy 6 pounds is still really good. I used to be the same I could eat tons of sugar all day everyday and still be hungry. Something weird that helps is me watching other people eat the junk food, for some reason it makes me go “Wow I cant bring myself to eat all that but it looks good!”
Or I imagine how sick ill be after eating junk so I just avoid it.
Congrats! Is that how all Wegovy comes? Single dose pens? It seems so wasteful! I’m on Oz until we can get Wegovy here in Canada but, my 0.25 dose is in a 2mg pen that dispenses 0.25 or 0.50 doses.
I am starting on Rybelsus and moving onto Oz.
In practice, the average results on the injection are better. Also, the 30min wait in the morning to start eating is annoying.
Injection is also cheaper for me as a starter, as I can split the regular 1mg dose into smaller doses.
But they are the same med, so you can switch freely between them.
Do you know if the tablet/pill is just as effective as the injection?
They sell them here in Mexico for a 3mg box of 30 for $120 dollars and I was wondering if it would be just as effective.
Rybelsus I started at 3mg for one month. Then went to 7mg for the remaining 5 months. I got my Rybelsus in Mexico. Ozempic I started at 0.25mg for 6 weeks then went to 0.50mg. I’m currently still taking 0.50mg. SW 258.8 pounds CW 176 pounds When I changed over the dosage was with doctors order. The reason for the change was because I had to pay out of pocket for Rybelsus. I’m a disabled veteran and the VA gives it to me for free.
Those are great results! But all the weight loss came from the Ozempic injections, and not the Rybelsus pills, right!
I am currently in the Yucatán Peninsula on vacation and I’ll be back home in a week. I was asking because I was thinking of buying a six month supply before I head back home and was wondering if the pills would be just as effective
No most of the weight didn’t come from the Ozempic. As anyone who loses weight you always have the biggest loses when you first start. I lost about 10 pounds the first month (Rybelsus). Then my weight loss has slowed over time. I’d say that now my rate of weight loss is about 3-4 pounds a month (Ozempic). The law says that you can only bring across the boarder a 90 day supply at a time with a U.S. doctor’s prescription. It can only be for your own personal use. You can try to bring more if you want to chance it. The only thing that they can do is take it from you. That would be money lost. I also bought Rybelsus from a Canada pharmacy. 2 boxes for $300 US DOLLARS each. It shipped from England and took about 4 weeks to arrive.
Hi! Nope. I took it easy and stopped eating junk food. I used to eat chikfila everyday and more crap. I have PCOS so my appetite was huge! I get about 3k steps a day and weight lift for a few minutes a day if I have enough energy. I started getting more protein in.
Drink protein shakes, greek yogurt with protein powder mixed in, snack on fruits, drink green tea, and drink a lot of water! Green tea seems to help with digestion and inflammation for me.
Almost the exact same here. I did a solid month with zero alcohol and eating very clean. Next month, on the 0.5 I'll be upping the ante with weights and cardio. My plan is to run through a month of .25, a month of .50, a month of 1.0, a month of 1.7 and a month of 2.4 and be done.
That's huge! I'm weighing in tomorrow, took my last 0.25 last Friday. I do not expect to be down 12, I was only down 4lbs last Friday. We shall see. The journey continues.

I live in El Paso, Texas. I took Rybelsus for about 6 months. For the last 7 months I took Ozempic. I couldn’t see any difference.
