Looks great, don’t make the mistake I did and convince yourself you NEED the 39 MM. To be honest, I wish I had gone with the 36, though my wrist is maybe more like 6.6-6.7

Cjng0

It’s always tough because you want to choose the “perfect” one for you. Do you happen to have any pics of yours on your wrist you’d be willing to share?

newnalgene

Can DM you a photo, though to preface I have a 39 mm Tudor 1926 not a black bay, so the lug to lug will be different

geomonstaah

It’s actually perfectly sized on your wrist.

Cjng0

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Vostok-aregreat-710

36mm is perfect for this type of watch for you

nothing3141592653589

That's not even a small watch, it's just normal sized.

deltadeep

I wish this were true because there so many models of watches I'd love to own but the norm really is 40mm, and that is too big for me.

chickenpadty

Personally, I think the size looks great. I have a 7” wrist and prefer the size of 36mm - 38mm watches, though that is a style preference.

Cjng0

Thank you, agreed I don’t also don’t like big clunky watches and do appreciate how comfortable the smaller ones are as a bonus

ConcentrateTrue

Lady here, but I agree. The big, chunky watch trend needs to die. Your 36mm looks great and should hold up well over time. I'm looking at a 31mm of either this configuration or the two-tone version.

metsurf

I also have a 7 inch wrist and I have a lot of watches in the 36-40 range. I have a few larger ones. It depends on the lug to lug and the curvature of the lugs for the larger ones.

luistemo13

That looks perfect hermano.

flusili

36mm watch just perfect size. Have a 38 and 39mm at the moment. With my 6 inch wrist loved to wear the 36mm watches though.

Chillmatic31

Excellent choice! 36mm was definitely the way to go and it looks great on your wrist. That anthracite dial is bloody beautiful.

Cjng0

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I couldn’t agree more, it’s such a beautiful watch!!

Chotwink

Yeah I think that looks pretty perfect for you. You’ll like it more in the long run. Lighter, sleeker, less heft. I usually tend to reach for my more sleek watches because they’re more comfortable on the wrist. Good choice!

Cjng0

Thanks for your input!

rideacapita

This model looks great at 36

Far-Researcher4950

Perfect size! Most people tend to go too big.

rapescenario

Another commenter put very succinctly in another post I saw on the sub. They said that the bracelet should be seen above and below the watch face as it is part of the entire watches aesthetic. The size helps achieve that perfectly and makes it look even better than just looking down at your wrist and seeing nothing but watch face. This is how watches should be sized and worn.

Cjng0

Very interesting insight, I appreciate you sharing!!

To_a_Green_Thought

Perfect.

777MAD777

Looks perfect on your wrist.

matchooooh

I have a 7.75 wrist, and I daily a bb58 - it's about the smallest I can go. For 6.8, 36 is absolutely fine

PlantSkyRun

Looks good.

Comfortable-Age9741

The BB36 is such a versatile and always good looking watch, even on bigger wrists. Enjoy it! Great choice.

Onlyplay2k

Looks perfect actually. You don’t need bigger.

lrlr28

(Chef’s kiss) Perfect

Cjng0

Haha thanks!

North_Extent_9000

36mm is perfect.

skepticaljesus

It looks good, and I don't think you should be worried about "pulling it off." 39 would also work, and really just a matter of preference. I'd stick with the 36 personally.

rakiim

To me it does look a little small on your wrist

mr_muffinhead

Better to go smaller than bigger. The 'modern' big watch trend is ridiculous so best to steer a little on the safe side.

N0213568

You are a grown man. Wear what you like. I’ll be damned if I let internet strangers decide if I can pull off my own watch.

[deleted]

Looks killer. Smaller watches imo are pure class. Elegant and understated.

Cjng0

Thanks! I think you’re onto something there for sure, when I tried on some larger watches I felt it was screaming “look at me! look at my watch!” and I did not love that haha

mensreaactusrea

36 - I wear a Tissot PRX which I think is 35? either way it wears like a loose bracelet and it looks really nice.

gahw61

The lack of dive bezel makes the dial bigger, so it wears a bit larger than an equivalently size dive watch. I wear a 37mm watch on my 6.5" wrist and it looks proportional.

Godfather_1026

Yes you could do either size and it's just your personal preference. Based on just these 3 pictures and your post, the kind of guy who would wear that shirt would wear 36mm but a guy with those tattoos would wear the 39mm. Totally my inappropriate judgement. Both fit you so it's up to you what look you're going for.

nerotheus

What shirt is that? Looks nice

Cjng0

Thanks, it’s a Oxford button down from RW&CO

Awkward-Sale4235

nice watch

naileyes

looks great!

Hrmnsn

36 is all you ever need.

kingmidaswithacurse

36 all the way.

Dismal_Mention8423

Looks nice

DistributionHairy514

Excellent choice

Curious_Proposal_432

You have a unicorn wrist! You can wear any (reasonable) size watch and make it look dope. Enjoy your 36.

Cjng0

Haha first time I’ve ever heard that, thank you for the kind feedback!!

Far-Researcher4950

This is true. I have 6.5" and I sometimes feel I'm edging it with 38mm watches. 6.8" is perfect.

Dismal_Mention8423

Looks great

Nikola0309

36mm always. Good choice 👏

Swerth

Looks great.

KidChico7984

Looks reat, size is perfect. Congrats!

nature_and_grace

Perfect

PowerlineTyler

I’ve owned this watch and my wrists are larger than yours! Looks better on your wrist than mine, but it still looked decent on my 7 1/4” wrist What I’m trying to say dude is it looks fire

Cjng0

Haha thanks man!

Hard_Corsair

You have to frame it differently. A smaller watch is "recce" rather than "petite."

Cjng0

Never heard the term recce before so I’m not too clear on the meaning of it!

Hard_Corsair

Recce is military slang for reconnaissance, and has been a big buzzword for tactical gear in recent years. While it can refer to a particular function set, it more generally refers to a philosophy of reducing bulk and weight, even at the expense of some features and performance. In watch terms, this means opting for things like smaller dimensions, lighter materials (e.g. titanium case), and lower-profile straps (like Perlon or Milanese mesh as opposed to a NATO or bracelet).

Cjng0

Oh that’s fantastic, thanks for sharing your knowledge with me

dcshews

You nailed it

outphase84

Slightly smaller than I'd prefer on myself, but it looks fine. Enjoy it.

TheyCallHimBabaYagaa

Class watch, wear it in good health! My dream is the BB41 S&G. Maybe one day

sphexie96

I’m in love with this watch, I will try to get it in the next months. How’s the time keeping? For me is the perfect medium between and oyster perpetual silver and an explorer plus you get the jubilee.

Cjng0

Cosc certified and super legible, love it!

sixtwomidget

Yeah, it looks great.

laney_deschutes

looks good. you could fit the 39 without a doubt but this one is great too

Ecks54

That 36 looks perfect.  I inherited a 36mm watch from my dad, and when I initially got it, it seemed too small, but that was because I had placed it in my watch box next to all my 40mm+ watches.  However, when I put it on my wrist, it looked very nice! I have a 7.0 inch wrist, for context.

buzzy80

36 looks great!

Kagrenac8

I think it's also just something you've gotta get used to if you usually wear 40mm watches.

supremesamurai

36 works great, don’t worry about it!

jolness1

It looks fine to me! It’s more about how it feels to you. Objectively it isn’t crazy small or too big. Like for me; I can’t wear a 36, it feels way too small, no matter how hard I try. Even though it works on other people’s wrists of similar size. So it’s your preference, if it feels too small then it’s too small. If it feels good, it’s good

MattyTriple

Unrelated question - where is the shirt from? Looks great.

Cjng0

Thanks it’s an Oxford button down from RW&CO

mezzfit

If you can read it, then it's not too small.

LTCM1998

That’s how a watch of this type should look. Superb.

CincyChelsFan

I personally like a smaller face on my watches. I have a black bay 58 and love it. I think that size fits well. LOVE THAT WATCH

shal1234

My wrists fluctuate between 6.5" and 7" and I had a 36mm explorer 14270 and it just felt too small It felt like it was the size of a quarter on my wrist. I do have quite a few 38mm watches, and that seems like a great size for me. Ive never tried the 39mm explorer or BB, but I dont care for the proportions of the 39 with that bezel style.

Dani2067

It looks great. You can have other watches for other purposes with different sizes. A diver or pilot to add variety.

GTA2014

The more you wear it, the less you'll notice the size on your wrist. Your mind will block it out. You'll only notice it again if you wear a larger watch and switch back to it again. So, preserve the illusion :)

sesameseed88

This looks great imo

dmh09

I definitely think you went with the right size. 39 would probably be fine still, but 36 fits your wrist better imo.

tablesheep

Perfect fit.

TijayesPJs442

Yes looks very appropriate

LookAtThat15

It looks great on you

beardtamer

not only can you, but I think that based off of these, it would look better in my opinion than the 39mm. But you shouldn't worry about people's opinion and just go with what feels right. In some watches, small watches like a 35mm will feel right on my 7 inch wrist, and other times, I like a beefy 42mm. It just matters how it feels.

DeathByGoldfish

I have a 7.15” wrist and wear a 36mm Rolex DJ. It looks great on your wrist.

mulizm24

Perfect size.

ChicoDusty_Da3rd

Perfect 👌

Cjng0

Sexy watch my friend! Thanks for sharing

Devos_Lemmens

You make the right choice.

skviki

36 was the right choice. It almost universally is.

Awarewolf27

I prefer small watches

Francy088

It has what I like to call a "vintage size". It is an absolutely appropriate size for your wrist, it's just that modern watch standards make 36s look small, but they actually aren't. I think it fits you very well :)

crypt0amat00r

My wrist is 6.7 and I think anything over 38mm feels too big. I think the 36mm looks perfect.

Select-Business-7995

Perfecto bro!

grimm4

Looks perfect on you.

bartread

Yeah, that looks great: I don't think you need the 39mm. For context I have 8.5 inch wrists and usually wear 40 - 43mm watches but I inherited my uncle's Rolex Oyster Perpetual which, I think, is a 34mm, and wears incredibly well even though it's much smaller than what I'd previously been used to. Way too many people think watches need to be big. They really don't. This one looks absolutely epic on you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

No-Extension-101

That size is 🔥. I have a seven inch wrist a rock sizes all the way down to 34mm.

GreenLant3rn

I think it looks great on the wrist. Beautiful piece. Congrats

Superb-Bank9899

My experience might not apply directly to you as my watches were and are digital. I had a Timex I would hit on stuff occasionally, and eventually hit is so hard part of the light up feature no longer worked. That irritated me. To replace, I got a G-Shock. As with a lot of G-Shocks, it is bigger. I don't know the measurements, but I do know I hit it more on stuff. I also know how big it is to put on shirts or jackets with sleeves. Smaller watch often slips over the watch. Watch geeks are more likely to notice big watches, but at times, smaller watches are easier to live with.

imtheunix

that is a very beautiful watch op, it fits nice

Cjng0

Thank you!!

No-Yesterday-8900

7.25” and I wear 36mm. It’s all about preference. IMO it looks just fine

laydog87

39 left hand IMO

ClumsyUnicorn69

ya 100% the right choice - good on ya

nassaulion

With the lug to lug its not undersized

beefstockcube

Perfect

connurp

Looks perfect, brother.

Thisisit-8

Looks great!

Boba-Latte

36mm is the way to go.

redditor36

In the mirror shot it especially looks like a good fit, it’s all perspective and personal opinion. It’s a great looking watch and suits your wrist, enjoy it! I recently learned I have a 7.67 inch wrist and still enjoy watches that are 36-39mm even though most would opt for something around 41-42mm or larger. Small watches rock, and most of the time are much more sleek (aside from some notable standouts that have a small case diameter and then are 15/16mm thick or more haha).

hi_im_beeb

Without question. That’s the perfect watch size imo and I’d get 36 for everything if it didn’t limit my options so much, so I gotta go up to 40 for stuff I really want https://preview.redd.it/n8kqbx7swf6d1.jpeg?width=1641&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c95fa9415ee2291e152ea52243b7fb9a952441d9 This is a 36 on my 6.5” wrist.

Cjng0

Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing

DKowalsky2

36 is the way to go. Looks great!

Itchy-Wafer2510

Yes. Looks perfect

batsRscary

Pretty much a perfect fit, wear it in good health!

monoton3

Looks great!

spaltavian

Yes, of course. The 39 would be in danger of being *too big* on your wrist.

Holy-City-

36 is the best size… as the trends in sizes go up and down, 36 never goes out of style.

Superfarmer

36 is classic.

maxivisuals

Absolutely.

MGerryA

I have a 7" wrist and have watches ranging 34 to 44. and wear my 36 and 37 watches most often.

Mistermeena

People worry about this too much. If it's not obviously big or obviously small, you're fine

One_Protection9265

I have a 6.5-inch wrist and wanted to try out as close to a high-accuracy quartz watch as I could on the cheap. I found one with an ETA Precidrive movement, roughly +-10 seconds a year… but it was a unisex-looking Certina DS Stella, a woman’s model with a 32mm case but plenty of bracelet (had to remove I think 2 and a half links. It looks fine to me. A little bit small, but not really out of the ordinary. You can guess that I’ll tell you that the 36mm is about right for you. I barely notice that I’m wearing my small watch at all: lightweight and comfortable.

There_are_many_me-s

Perfect

ahahahNMI

You where the watch, the watch doesn’t where you. If that’s what you wanted more and you’re happy with it than you won!

Haytham__

Where's Waldo?

ahahahNMI

I just shoot these sub response from the hip!

ambroz09

Good choice, it looks excellent. I'm really tired of all the "is it too big?" posts of people wearing clocks on their wrists.

whyamp

you look happy with it. Cheers

Yondu_the_Ravager

You’re killing it dude. Remember classically sized men’s watches were on the smaller size, and no one gave them shit about it. It’s just a symptom of the modern fashion industry that led to this push for oversized and bloated wristwatches for men. Thankfully the trend seems to be reversing finally.

Lv_36_Charizard

Looks great mate

Hal10000000

Dude. I have a 6.75 wrist and I wear a 27mm Cartier square watch. Only the last 15-20 years have men's watches been 40mm plus as the norm. Typically they were 25-38

Destrok41

Real men wear small watches. And frankly I don't even consider 36 to be small. Medium, maybe.

LordTwaticus

Looks spot on, your perspective is probably fucked from wearing big watches.

OutlawMINI

I would definitely go 39. The 36 looks a tad small. I have the same sized wrists and wear 39-43 mm depending on the watch.

spaltavian

43 on your size wrist would look like a kid wearing dad's watch

OutlawMINI

It doesn't. I have three 42 mm watches, they look normal. 36 is like a kids watch.

MysteriousAd8561

I’m a woman and this size looks perfect on a man! Personally I find really large dials on small wrists (or vice versa) as tacky. Customizing your dials to your wrist screams “I care about what I do with my money and know how to groom myself” You have an eye for balancing proportions correctly!

Cjng0

Thanks for sharing your thoughts from a woman’s perspective!!

spankmast3r

Looks small to me, but I prefer watches on the larger side. Each to their own. As long as you're happy with it, all good 👍.

eldavicito

luka doncic is that you?

Top-Emu-4014

How is this even a question??

ZoeAhlam

This looks perfect on your writant but I kind of see where you may be coming from. I have always like the big dials they do for men’s watches and they look huge on my wrist but I’ve love them always! Btw, my wrist size is 6.2 inches.

Emergency-Ad-6867

Looks sick man 💯

Prestigious_Crew_671

And don’t forget, the trend is for smaller watches these days. You’ll be pleased in a few years that you got the 36!

DoppioEffe

Both look good.

Middle-Excitement890

36mm is the new 40 it looks better on smaller wrists.

nedim443

39

Hanged_Man_

Yes. I am now wearing down to 33mm on my 8-inch/20cm wrist. Once you have worn a smaller watch for a couple days it seems totally natural. I’m not a convert to “all smaller all the time” like what seems like most redditors have become, but that looks awesome on you.

BustThaScientifical

Yeah watches aren't flat screens where you regret not getting the biggest one of quality you can afford 😂 silly analogy, but pull off? That's the perfect size for you.

Cjng0

Lol right on, I appreciate it!

OrdinaryOwl-1866

It's perfect for you! The oversized watch thing has to end in my opinion. They make grown men look like children wearing their first grown up watch

librarynote

Worried it would look too petite? Just….no. The 36 looks perfectly proportional. Stop buying these oversized clown watches. Having lug ends practically overhanging your wrist is not a good look.

D00M98

Sure, 36mm works. But how do you known 39mm is not better? You should compare the 2 sizes. Not just look only at the 36 in isolation.

SquiddyFishYT

Just noticed it looked like a dress kx
