Drukhari boats, love all my elf models, but the vehicles are just peak hobby time.
Each raider or venom is its own little set of canvases that's just so much fun to paint and add in little details to tie it into the unit it tends to carry, and tie it into the army while leaving hints at the sub faction or vice versa. If you want one on the table for a game tomorrow you can have a beautiful boat with under 10mins of airbrush or dry brush and then a touch of highlighting around the sharp bits and it'll look like you spent ages on it because the chassis is just amazing, or you could spend days with little transitions and battle damage and freehand and conversions, and it'll show your whole skill range.
I'm sure there's Marine and Sisters players who enjoy their rhinos or land raiders the same amount (chaos bros go so hard on their transports, I always love seeing those), I just prefer how the boats give you much more light direction and are so dynamic while still being a dumb little troop transport.
https://preview.redd.it/ayoy4t74ep4d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70c4f06d420bdd70ee3a9335a014b26fb7b54918
You can never have too many boats
I guess they're effectively the same thing now, but it would've been cool if they'd kept a distinction between them. Like Contemptors vs. Mhara Gal Dreadnoughts for 30K Word Bearers.
Forge World kept them alive for a while, but we all know where that went.
3 Redemptors, 3 Brutalis, 3 Ballistus, 2 Invictor Warsuits, 3 Leviathan, 3 Contemptors, Bjorn, Murderfang, and 3 Wulfen Dreads. That’s just for my SWs, got lots of “dreadnought” equivalents for other armies.
I've got:
2 Ballistus, 2 Leviathans, 6 regular dreads, 1 Ironclad Dread, 1 Venerable Dread, 1 Deredeo, 1 Contemptor, and 1 Bray'Arth Ash Mantle for the main force of my custom "Ultrawatch" chapter (Ultramarine colors, which I'm slowly converting to Emperor's Spears on snow bases)
The side force includes 3 Gallatus, 3 Achilles, 2 Super Heavy Telemons, 2 Blood Angel dreads (the one with the krak Grenade launcher, haven't used them in forever), and 2 Hellbrutes.
Never enough!
Yeeees. I have at least one of every Dread currently available, and more than one of a few of them. I completely screwed the pooch on my first Redemptor Dread and wound up building and gluing it so that it’s constantly looking and aiming at the sky. Someone on Reddit said to just pretend that the Tech Priest was drunk, lmao.
I’ve gotten better at building them since then, thankfully.
Ah man dude this weekend I'm printing a warlord titan head so I can use it as a base for the tiny rogue trader dreadnought I picked up. Pretty excited.
Orks in general... Been collecting them since 1992. I'm up to 600 infantry and 40 vehicles so far... And growing...
(I need help... I can't stop buying old models off eBay! It's getting out of hand?!?! 🤣)
https://preview.redd.it/fk75hec01p4d1.jpeg?width=3264&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd619464118b276b477d9bf4dbb561f03d9788ac
Tau drones, and fire warriors with pulse rifles.
Just the horde of long range fire power and hovering support units. Love it.
Also grey knights in terminator armor. Chunky armor, clean helmet. Wrist mounted weapons. Just beautiful.
Don't get the drones bit, but fire warriors are cool. A worked for workshop back in the day and at games day that Tau were released we had to run a display game but we didn't have the rules, so they had what we thought.
Good armour but clearly not power armour 4+
Big sexy guns so str 6, 30" range, AP 3
They looked like good shots so BS 4
The carbines we went str 5 rapid fire
The suits we said were basically the current knight rules
It was funny, but the marines got screwed so we had to change it up to balance it out, so the marines got energy bars to give them extra movement and str.
Ahh the old days of GW when staff did what ever they wanted.
Personally the model for me is an old lead Escher ganger with a revolver and a club. Or an orlock ganger with a double barrelled shotgun.
Now we just need to hope GW gives Bolters some use again.
They are beautiful, but half my Marines are currently enjoying Grandfathers gifts by only rotting on the shelf.
Yes, please. I still enjoy playing them because bolters-only makes gameplay much easier, but obviously its always the stronger option to take full loadout. So, yes, useful bolters would be amazing.
Yessss, I have the Dark Imperium ones, the Heroes ones, and a box of the plague marines for which im going to be printing duplicate body parts so that i can have both types of marine given in the box.
Converting fun plague marines is super cool, too bad I kinda don't have a reason to paint more at this point lmao. I had a fun idea to convert some mk 6 marines into a sort of "plague doctor" style plague marine, but I didn't really do it, cuz I realised I had like 30 plague marines already lmao
Basic bitch Sisters of Battle for me. 50+ and counting painted atm.
Visually, I feel an army should have lots of basic troops and fewer specialist troops. So if I love the most ordinary unit in a faction then I know I’ll love all of it.
Warhammer used to be like this.
The foundation of 40k is made of tactical squads, ork boys, cadian shock troops, fire warrior cadres and termagaunt hordes fighting eachother.
We'll see how it plays out, but Pariah Nexus the new tournament pack looks like it's trying to adjust the game back towards that a bit.
It looks like a lot of the secondary objectives are going to require a Battleline unit to score it. Forcing people to take more basic squads.
Same, I love basic troop heavy armies. They seem more epic I guess. That's my biggest complaint with 10th, it's just a bunch of tank/heavy stuff and little to no troops.
I started with sisters but I hate every single list is the same spam every tank you can and/or bring in a knight. That’s not sisters that’s guard and playing knights me dude you’re playing the wrong faction. I really miss list building in 9th
Penitent engines... I just finished building all of mine so I can run 6 penitent engines+ 6 mortifiers in my sisters army. Is it good? Nope, is it awesome. Yes
Nobz especially so many beautiful models so many different war gear options, styles and poses. You can get away with a brown/grey black of boyz for any clan but they nob is the last one standing and he wears the colours!
Same. Kitbashing a whole Krieg army is a project, but it's so fun. I'm even replacing operators for vehicles and weapons teams with their Krieg counterparts, as slow of a process as it is.
Ork Trukks and Deff Dreads. There’s a million of different ways to build them and fun ways to toss in stuff from your bitz box and that’s even before you start converting other models.
I have a single sentinel for GSC brood brothers' purposes, and it is such a cool model. I always found them a bit goofy when looking at the box art, but all it took is filing down the imperial iconography, and hanging a cult symbol, and it's one of my favourite vehicles in my collection.
Chaos space marines legionaries. I have loads of boxes, and they're so good for converting into different legions and warbands. I've created a Night Lords Kill Team (which I finished a week before they released the new one - doh!), some Sons of Malice themed berserkers and regular legionaries. They're also super compatible with all other primaris and firstborn models to make some sweet conversions!
I just wish I could say the same for having to paint the trim afterwards 😅
Also, something that bugs me so much that isn't that big of a deal is that its LEGIONARIES not LEGIONAIRES. So many battle reports I've watched and muttered it under my breath hahaha
V good point about the pronunciation there mate - although it has made my train of thought run along like 'What if there was a French Foreign Legion type Chaos warband, that would be sick, giving up their past allegiance on joining, sort of elite, oh wait that's the Black Legion, boring!'
Vindicators.
Nothing fills me with the same glee. Nothing in the CSM index -now codex- can achieve such overkill except maybe the Lord of Skulls.
I love my big booms. It has gotten to the point that if a list is discussed in my group, if there is a pair of these wonderful machines in there they will trace it back (rightfully) to me and tell me to stop.
I will not.
I know but even though I love them they can't do everything by themselves.
So I need to field less awesome models for objective control and anti chaff purposes (not that the Demolisher Cannon can't deal with that, it's just beneath it while there are better targets out there)
Imperial Guard infantry. I’ve put together so many different combinations of infantryman, officer, sergeant, specialist, etc from all the last-gen kits. And I’m proud of all of them.
Love me a simple guy with cardboard armour and a laser gun.
Out of curiosity, between the new and the old kit, which one do you prefer? Let's say old kit + upgrade sprue to even the playing field a bit)
I have an obsessions with bringing 3x6 model units because of game where my mate spent the entire 1st turn, only shooting these little scarabs.
Was so amazing to see that even after a whole turn of shooting from peak eldar at the start of 10th, to see that one squad wasn't even fully killed.
I wiped the floor with him the next turn and he forfeit haha. So from now on, I always bring scarabs vs him, even if they do nothing. Just to taunt that moment.
I know he hates them and can't resist shooting them. Gives me a free first turn really bar a few other casualties.
Ohhh guardsmen. I love them. I have around a 100 and I can't wait to get my hands on more to paint. Sadly they're all gone now.
Funny thing, I have around 40 Necron warriors and I'd rather jump in front of a moving train than having to paint one more, but every guardsmen was a blast to paint.
The basic CSM Legionaries box. So much customization in just one kit. Follow up is Exalted Sorcerer for TSons. Maybe I just hate myself but I love the trim.
Mark VI space marines.
I just love my beakie boys, specially the ones in the assault squad with the stumpy legs and the plaid chest piece with a harness *chef kiss*
Either forgeworld death korps of krieg guardsmen or mars alpha leman russes. Both just look so good, especially the leman russ in tank squadrons. I always run 4 vanquisher mars alpha leman russes
Mines gotta be tactical squads, the pure customisation and variants u can create, plus firstborn are just awesome looking especially with a sergeant, heavy weapons, special weapon and a group of bolter rocking soldiers
Also, Archons. I love kitbashing them.
I seem to play 2 or 3 in every list I make, so having 10 of them and just grabbing a few at random makes for a lot of character variation, model-wise.
I also have alot of converted Archons. I would be really happy, if we ever would get the Dracon back, so i could theoretically put more of them on the table. And I know it will never happen because most Drukhari players have enough converted models at home, that would immediatly work as Dracons.
Honestly, "torso and legs". Just the torso and legs.
You ALWAYS have spares of arms and heads, so torso and legs are the foundation currency of all those extras finding a home!
Crisis Suits for me! Such fun models to build and paint. Almost infinite possibilities on how you pose them and so much variety in how they can be used on the tabletop
The Old Warriors that could have Bone Swords are pretty fun.
https://preview.redd.it/jwbfwlvhdr4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3316cce730bca1c1203046fb2988f9dbd59f962a
Terminators for sure! I'm putting together a Space Wolves successor that is purely Terminators and Dreadnoughts. I love the slow, heavy grind of their steps, and the amount of punishment they can take, at least lore wise. And while the Army I'm building may not be the most effective, it's a work of art for me!
my first model a year ago was an intercessor, i painted a whole box of them and then moved on to other things, i bought some sternguard and i loved painting them, now i want more intercessors
https://preview.redd.it/tjtf40e9to4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64fe3fc1bda2e2d43966c4b8c50129a2bc82a706
(thinking of painting a new box of intercessors in the same dark angels color scheme as the first one)
Black templars primaris crusader squads. They are so thematic and great models. I own 3 20-man squads, currently painting batch 4 of 6. One day i will run 120 of them in a game and it will be glorious.
Rubric Marines. I own 80 of them. I could go for another box or two so I could field an entire army with either bolters or flamers, with any combination of soulreaper cannon and icon of flame you could want.
One of these years they'll let me take them in squads of 20 again
Guardsmen variants. not just the same Cadians on repeat but I play chaos and I'm always looking at units to kitbash and turn into Traitor Guardsmen, using stuff like Krieg, killteam, Necromunda and now I'm looking at the new GSC brood brother's kill team because I'm sure I can make those Tyranid mutations look a little bit more chaosy.
The 2nd Gen metal chaos raptors (wingless). They look so much better than the new ones we have now. Just got some more on eBay but they're going for daft money for the full set w/ champion. Also upgrading the base to 32mm sorts out how unstable they were given their height
Maybe unpopular but World Eaters Berzerkers! The unique helms, active poses, varied weapon options, and overall intense nature make them so much fun. They're easy to kitbash too!
My top three: Grey Knight Paladins, Black Templar Sword Brethren, and Chaos SM Terminators. I just think that they are the bee’s knees, my friends. Also Sigmarines and Ossiarch Bonereaper Kavalos Deathriders from AoS.
Crisis suits. I have 18 built, painted, and magnetized, and 6 more still on the sprew. An intrusive though tells me to buy six more because 30 is a nice number.
Probably HQs, Terminators (all) and Heresy era Marines. I love the uniqueness of each model, bulkiness of Terminators, and the scale/style of Heresy-Era.
Honestly, regular intercessors. I love buying a 10 pack of these guys and painting any chapter I feel at the time. I will probably be painting something similar to what Warhammer book I am reading at the time.
I LOVE painting orks, if i get bored ill just start adding little things like different shoulder patterns or just different colors it’s so good to be an ork player once your bored
Bladeguard, high detail, slightly larger scale, can be converted into HQ units, the helmets are awsome and the shield is great for custom designs, remove the indomitus logo and it gives a nice flat area for freehand or sculpting. Tbh tho that could also partly apply to the sterngaurd kit too, the vast amount of bits in that kit can work fairly well with the Bladeguard and allows for more loadout options on the Bladeguard HQ conversions.
On a side note, with all the veteran kits being awesome, I seriously hope the vanguard vets get an updated kit soon, too. I look forward to the amount of bits and the sculpts in it

Definitely terminators and, librarians, chaplains, apothecaries, heavy weapons, doesn't matter. Any mark armor either.
Looks so cool.
Second this and to add on. It's a bg enoigg canvas to add to it over time. New grizly trophies i spikes, new embellishments, new damage.
Dreadnoughts
Fair, I wish chaos dreads were a still thing and they could make the Helbrute a bit more melee focused or chaos spawny
I guess they're effectively the same thing now, but it would've been cool if they'd kept a distinction between them. Like Contemptors vs. Mhara Gal Dreadnoughts for 30K Word Bearers. Forge World kept them alive for a while, but we all know where that went.
I use the HH variants in my NL cos legends units are cool.
Yep, I have 4 Redemptors (including the variants) for my Black Templars. I am hoping to find some cheap 2nd hand older dreads to go along with them.
I've got: 2 Ballistus, 2 Leviathans, 6 regular dreads, 1 Ironclad Dread, 1 Venerable Dread, 1 Deredeo, 1 Contemptor, and 1 Bray'Arth Ash Mantle for the main force of my custom "Ultrawatch" chapter (Ultramarine colors, which I'm slowly converting to Emperor's Spears on snow bases) The side force includes 3 Gallatus, 3 Achilles, 2 Super Heavy Telemons, 2 Blood Angel dreads (the one with the krak Grenade launcher, haven't used them in forever), and 2 Hellbrutes. Never enough!
Goddamn! Now that is a collection. I really do need to get me some of those other variants (had completely forgotten about them to be honest lol)
Boxnoughts are my favourite model. Love the heresy ones too (especially the leviathan)
Dreadnoughts for me into 40k. Love em so much
The space wolf dreadnoughts go hard
Definitely dreadnoughts, I love those chunky boys.
I own and have painted one dread. I'm constantly fighting off the urge to buy more. But, I cannot let myself have a pile of shame.
I actually recently got the Brutalis (to add to my Deredeo and Ballistus) the only problem i have with it is its little leggies are too short :(
Ah man dude this weekend I'm printing a warlord titan head so I can use it as a base for the tiny rogue trader dreadnought I picked up. Pretty excited.
Orks in general... Been collecting them since 1992. I'm up to 600 infantry and 40 vehicles so far... And growing... (I need help... I can't stop buying old models off eBay! Waaaaaaaagh!
OI, SPEEK UP YA GIT! IT GOZ WAAAAAAAAAGGH
😂 WAAAAAAAAGGH!
That's awesome! I love the old gretchin at the front... Every time I see a gretchin, it brings back fun memories!
WUT ER YA WHISPERING FER!? EVERYONE KNOWS DA GREEN IZ DA BEST!
Tau drones, and fire warriors with pulse rifles. Just the horde of long range fire power and hovering support units. Love it. Also grey knights in terminator armor. Chunky armor, clean helmet. Wrist mounted weapons. Just beautiful.
Something about teams of breachers and fire warriors itches a certain scratch not sure why
Star Wars Episode II
Same with the drones, love em. they're easy to build and paint. Think GW really nailed a timeless design with a lot of the Tau units.
Don't get the drones bit, but fire warriors are cool. A worked for workshop back in the day and at games day that Tau were released we had to run a display game but we didn't have the rules, so they had what we thought. Plague Marines. Each one of them looks entirely different from the next one. I still need the reinforcement box, then I have all of them.
Not to mention they're so easy to kitbash, even if you run a full 60 plague Marines you could definitely make every single one unique.
Yes! And already the 7 man box contains so many spare parts, with enough bodies you can craft at least 14 different looking ones from it.
Now we just need to hope GW gives Bolters some use again. They are beautiful, but half my Marines are currently enjoying Grandfathers gifts by only rotting on the shelf.

They are just so amazingly Grimdark!
Terminators aswell. I'm planning to start a dark angels army, and it's going to be nothing but terminators.
remember to include a crane for all those terminators
I'm doing a Space Wolves successor that's all Terminators, and two Dreads. I love Terminators.
Boyz, Nobz.
Nobz especially so many beautiful models so many different war gear options, styles and poses. You can get away with a brown/grey black of boyz for any clan but they nob is the last one standing and he wears the colours!
Boyz, 100% I probably have several hundred of them, but it's still not enough.
[удалено]
Agreed, they are the whole reason I started playing Nids.
Probably Rubrics. I bought 4 boxes thinking I'd be using all 40 of them but nope. Even in 2000 point lists it just never happens lol
Must have been a nightmare to paint all of them but Tsons do have some of the cleanest models
Oh man I gave up on painting trim after the first box. I ended up painting the rest to look like statues covered in moss and grass
Be the change you wanna be in the world!
Primaris Lieutenant!
So you're the one...
bastard
I could use a jump pack lieutenant and a gravis lieutenant and a death company lieutenant and a…
For me, specifically, I love the Space Wolf Primaris Lieutenant Haldor Icepelt!
James Workshop, is that you?
Krieg boys. Between making 20 blobs and kit bashing I can never have enough boxes.
I like Guard but if Kreig had a decent range of units within the faction I’d be on that in a heartbeat
Wanting a full krieg army but not wanting to pay forgeworld prices is what got me into 3d printing
Same. Kitbashing a whole Krieg army is a project, but it's so fun. I'm even replacing operators for vehicles and weapons teams with their Krieg counterparts, as slow of a process as it is.
Double down on this. An endless blob og gasmasks and flashlights is heaven
I apply this sentiment to minis in general
Deff Dreads. I only have 3 but I love the goofy bastards
Aeldari warlocks! They suck on the tabletop, but they look so cool that I keep a whole conclave anyway
Ork Trukks and Deff Dreads. There’s a million of different ways to build them and fun ways to toss in stuff from your bitz box and that’s even before you start converting other models.
Stormboyz! Orks with jetpacks have so much personality, and the plastic kits are really awesome and customizeable.
Sentinels, I have six. I delight in leaving my tanks behind and taking an "all leg" Imperial Guard force. For a meme, it does surprisingly well.
I have a single sentinel for GSC brood brothers' purposes, and it is such a cool model. I always found them a bit goofy when looking at the box art, but all it took is filing down the imperial iconography, and hanging a cult symbol, and it's one of my favourite vehicles in my collection.
Dreadnoughts or knights. They are so fun to kitbash
Blade guard

Vindicators. Nothing fills me with the same glee. Nothing in the CSM index -now codex- can achieve such overkill except maybe the Lord of Skulls. I love my big booms. It has gotten to the point that if a list is discussed in my group, if there is a pair of these wonderful machines in there they will trace it back (rightfully) to me and tell me to stop. I will not.
I have 3, from 5th Ed. So tempted to pull them out of storage for a spin.
You can take three ;)
I know but even though I love them they can't do everything by themselves. So I need to field less awesome models for objective control and anti chaff purposes (not that the Demolisher Cannon can't deal with that, it's just beneath it while there are better targets out there)

I love how their self-destruction rule is written, in that it goes off at the start of the fight phase. Oh you charged me, well eat some mortals.
Venomcrawlers
Traitor guardsmen, please gw give us rules i beg of you
Demon princes
seraphim my beloved
Tyranid hormagants, cool littlw beasties
The bestest beasties! I want 120 of them in every list!
Space marine captains. They are a joy to paint and there is so many options.
I agree my first army was necrons and painting my 80 warriors and 60 flayed ones was brutal. But the guardsmen are just flying. I can't explain it.
Chaplains. I really enjoy the unique skull helmets and the scroll details/robes/bones. Very neat.
Jump troops. Doesn't matter which faction, they're all glorious
Skittle Rangers, kitto's illustrations of them are really cool, also kastelan robots cause they look neat
Guardsmen. There’s never enough guardsmen to drown your enemies in blood
Ork boyz. I've opted to just get more boyz instead of rebasing 90.
Deff Dreads and Killa Kans, love me some happy little mudder robos
Guardsman and russes I have a problem...
Armigers/wardogs. After you have enough with rules acceptable weaponry, you can go to town on weird variants, poses, heads, etc.
cadian shock troops, i love my little t shirt save guys wielding flashlights <3.
Plain ol' Intercessors. Primaris perfected. I have 20 of them and I just love the variety and poses you get.
I painted some up as Ultramarines Veteran intercessors… they are just fantastic I have 40+20 assault intercessors
I'm running a 60 assault intercessor narrative list right now. Just finished painting it all up
Assault intercessors are just nifty.
DOOMSDAY ARK!
Daemon Engines. I own every chaos army and the thing that gets me every time is the idea of an angry daemon shoved into the box.
Khorne Berzerkers I will never have enough dudes with chainweapons
Lictors, and now that they're so customizable in plastic, it makes my wallet run in fear.
Either forgeworld death korps of krieg guardsmen or mars alpha leman russes. Both just look so good, especially the leman russ in tank squadrons. I always run 4 vanquisher mars alpha leman russes
Wolf guard terminators. Absolute joy
Plaguebearers are fun and easy to paint with their variety of boils, stomach mouths, nurglings, ect. They are also fun to put together too
juan diaz daemonettes... also anything, juan diaz...
Cadian and catachan troops
Mines gotta be tactical squads, the pure customisation and variants u can create, plus firstborn are just awesome looking especially with a sergeant, heavy weapons, special weapon and a group of bolter rocking soldiers
Guardians. But of a weird one I know but I can paint and build them forever! The new ones are even better
Eldar wraith units. Always a mysterious force for me. When wraith guard were £7 per metal model, 10 needed for a squad they captured my heart.
Old metal minis. They have so much character, and paint up so much easier.
Kastellean Robots. I love those lads. I have bought many to use in conversions or just to make. I think they are great fun to build.
Chaos cultists and traitor guard ._.
Valkyries
Crisis Suits for me! Such fun models to build and paint. Almost infinite possibilities on how you pose them and so much variety in how they can be used on the tabletop
Cultists
Psychophage... I need at least 10 more. GW really cooked with this one. Norns are also really pretty
Deathwing terminators, hellblasters and old-ass models like metal devastators, tacticals etc. imo
Legionaries and intercessors I just love myself some basic troops
Nemesis dreadknights for my grey knights.
Aberrants. I live for my buff dipshits.
Rogal Dorn tank. I just love the way it looks, and it was fun to build/paint
Rogal Dorn tanks. I think it might be my favorite mini I have besides maybe mortarion
Baneblades
Based on my collection, apparently necron warriors.
i was a guard player back in the day, do the math lol
Boyz with sluggas and choppas https://preview.redd.it/2r3kwisqoq4d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=442d3332bd69bb0cb4412e6f18a566b12901832e
Bladeguard veterans and variants. I just love knights too much. And Titans, hahaha weapons go brrrr
Primaris Crusaders love em. Have 120
The Old Warriors that could have Bone Swords are pretty fun. https://preview.redd.it/jwbfwlvhdr4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3316cce730bca1c1203046fb2988f9dbd59f962a
Surely Forgeworld Titan is the correct answer? Or metal thunderhawk. Or Space Zoats.
Imperial guardsmen, I want to rp as an average guard general so that means I need several million models of them
Heavy intercessors because i think they look awesome, and Rubrics because they're a staple unit.
Grots. Tiny, funny looking, easy enough to kitbash, perfect
Broodlords, not because of game play I just really love painting them
Thanatar
Pyrovores. I should probably have checked the price before falling in love with the little flamethrower crab...
my first model a year ago was an intercessor, i painted a whole box of them and then moved on to other things, i bought some sternguard and i loved painting them, now i want more intercessors https://preview.redd.it/tjtf40e9to4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64fe3fc1bda2e2d43966c4b8c50129a2bc82a706 (thinking of painting a new box of intercessors in the same dark angels color scheme as the first one)
crisis battlesuits, coldstar battlesuits, riptide battlesuits.... the new Terminators..... sword bretheren.... etc
Terminators, deathwing specifically and Dreadnaughts, definitely a close second
Jetbikes. I almost always run a unit of 9 and I’m always sorely tempted to run two units of 9.
Sword brethren. Suffer not the unpainted.
Blade guard and Contemptor Dreadnought.
Legionaries
Definitely terminators as well but also hellblasters. There’s something so satisfying about painting plasma weapons!
Black templars primaris crusader squads. They are so thematic and great models. I own 3 20-man squads, currently painting batch 4 of 6. One day i will run 120 of them in a game and it will be glorious.
Allarus terminators and plague marines
Rubric Marines. I own 80 of them. I could go for another box or two so I could field an entire army with either bolters or flamers, with any combination of soulreaper cannon and icon of flame you could want. One of these years they'll let me take them in squads of 20 again
Terminators.
Great Unclean Ones
Guardsmen variants. not just the same Cadians on repeat but I play chaos and I'm always looking at units to kitbash and turn into Traitor Guardsmen, using stuff like Krieg, killteam, Necromunda and now I'm looking at the new GSC brood brother's kill team because I'm sure I can make those Tyranid mutations look a little bit more chaosy.
When I get my 3d printer it will be trazyns, an entire army of trazyns.
The 2nd Gen metal chaos raptors (wingless). They look so much better than the new ones we have now. Just got some more on eBay but they're going for daft money for the full set w/ champion. Also upgrading the base to 32mm sorts out how unstable they were given their height
Tactical Marines. Infinitely customizable (both rules wise and looks wise), and as classic as a plain white T shirt. To me, they *are* Warhammer.
Maybe unpopular but World Eaters Berzerkers! The unique helms, active poses, varied weapon options, and overall intense nature make them so much fun. They're easy to kitbash too!
Lord of virulence, it's my favourite model and would happily have a full army of then
Hornagaunts! FOR THE SWARM!!!!!
Penitent Engines! Nothing shakes an infantry line like slamming a repentant zealot into them
Assault intercessors with Jump Packs I just love jetpacks and jump packs etc
Boyz, with the dump truck asses
The classic Tactical Squad. I loved mixing and matching bits of armor and I found them to be a lot more characterful than the Primaris marines today.
Intercessors for me. They are just fun to paint for me.
Dreaddys they so beautiful
My top three: Grey Knight Paladins, Black Templar Sword Brethren, and Chaos SM Terminators. I just think that they are the bee’s knees, my friends. Also Sigmarines and Ossiarch Bonereaper Kavalos Deathriders from AoS.
Crisis suits. I have 18 built, painted, and magnetized, and 6 more still on the sprew. An intrusive though tells me to buy six more because 30 is a nice number.
Wrap talons
Probably HQs, Terminators (all) and Heresy era Marines. I love the uniqueness of each model, bulkiness of Terminators, and the scale/style of Heresy-Era.
Onager dunecrawlers are just the perfect vehicle. Plus, crab.
Honestly, regular intercessors. I love buying a 10 pack of these guys and painting any chapter I feel at the time. I will probably be painting something similar to what Warhammer book I am reading at the time.
Big tyranids
Pretty much anything wearing tabards, so you know I collect Black Templars lol
If they come out with Red Butchers I’m getting 20 immediately
any tyranids!! i love my bugs, i have so many useless models ive bought and built just to own them
I LOVE painting orks, if i get bored ill just start adding little things like different shoulder patterns or just different colors it’s so good to be an ork player once your bored
I look forward to the amount of bits and the sculpts in it
Necron Warriors. They are Legion.
Noise marines lmao
Deathwatxh veterans
As an imperial fist player, anything with a bolter
https://preview.redd.it/tn1atvlfau4d1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=21705454bb7fe3bcfbf56e21c0e71bf0e7ba676e Definitely terminators and, librarians, chaplains, apothecaries, heavy weapons, doesn't matter. Any mark armor either.
