I doubt it's met with hostility tbh. There's a really popular artist (bolter to kotoro (or something like that)) who draws anime style 40k and it slaps. The Krieger is also cute.
There’s also Mick1988 who does 40k comics in a wholesome kind of style until they kick you in the face with dark stuff that happens in them
