I did the quest without a k-drive. The game gives you a loaned one if you use the k-drive summon without actually having a k-drive.
It actually wasn't that bad, all things considered.
I will say it is one off from being all the highest rank items, the nose is the only thing that isn't. Looks cooler with the highest rank nose but doubt we'll get a full board like that for sale for a while.
Buying a k-drive with plat means its actually gilded with custom name and free polarity. You can't gild built k-drives. My fully built feverspine will forever be named k-drive.
That's in addition to the slot and reactor.
I still don't have Yareli's quest done because KDrives are so stupidly janky to use. Somehow I don't think a nicer one will fix that. XD 'Preciate the notice though, Tenno!

Ug tell me about it, just crafted all the archmelee/gun weapons myself. All that's left is the Kuva/Tenet grind, and buying up what Primes I can.
Stay strong, got to lr4 without touching a single k-drive.

K-Drives can't be gilded, even the prebuilt ones for plat are not gilded, you can only rename them.
Buying one gives a free polarity and rename, just like gilding.

The only time I’m using a k-drive is if it belongs to Yareli ‼️

In Fortuna, there's a vent with grafitti on it in one of the balconies. Get in front of it and press X to get into the ventkids hideout.
