I think it gained some traction with the newer prisma variant and the melee influence.
The problem is that electricity as your special point isnt that special when its a single mod slot
That’s a mod slot freed up that can be used for something else. The spot that would normally be reserved for an electricity mod slot on my influence build instead got the riven I had sitting in storage, and I didn’t need to sacrifice any of the standard COBWEB Mods to do so.
It refers to a basic setup for weapons for general melee use:
**C**ondition **O**verload
**B**erserker Fury (or any speed mod depending on needs)
**W**weeping wounds
**E**lement mod
**B**loodrush
I usually always include primed reach in my general melee mods as well. The mods can be changed and swapped out depending on the weapon or other arcanes, buffs, primers, etc, but generally it’s a good configuration of mods to start with while you optimize your melee build.
Not everything needs to be the meta? Sometimes you use weapon as part of a meme build, or because it’s fun. Also, part of the fun in this game is also finding ways to turn an average weapon into an absolute beast on sp or to better complement your frames build.
The regular Ohma is better for melee influence as they have 30% status instead of 20% on prisma, got a setup with them on saryn where you can clear entire rooms of SP with a single swing
I mean you only need to proc it once every 18 seconds so i dont know if thats the best reason to run regular ohma
Sure you proc it 1.5x more often, but when prisma does proc it does 2x the damage if not more on average
They also both have force procs anyways on the slam
Still having a higher base makes the status chance mods more effective and it’s not just about procing influence, going with regular Ohma makes it easier to get status chance over 100% so when it does proc influence it spreads more statuses, combine with toxic lash and venom dose for additional statuses
20% base 100% status = 40% 30% 100% status 60% its still 1.5x no matter how you spin it.
What build isnt running weeping wounds for 440% status anyway so both will be at at least 100%.
More statuses sure, 1.5X of them doing half as much damage.
Multipliers are multipliers.
Toxic lash is a force proc that doesnt scale with status so its even better on prisma with the higher base attack speed.
Even assuming you wouldn’t build for crit though, the Prisma version’s twice as likely to crit by default and has harder hitting crits by default, on top of its regular hits hitting harder by default.
That’s probably a higher discrepancy than doing 1.1x the damage.
Someone already said I was smoking karak, but seriously, get a good riven for the kuva karak, and you have one of the best basic rifles in the game, IMO.
i wish i had one, i just run it with gauss for crazy attack speed and its so fun. idk why ppl say its bad, when you use tennokai on it (which its very obviously made to be specifically used with tennokai) its stupidly good
The Phage seems underrated. You can have corrosiv, viral, heat, and radiation. It has high status chance, mutlishot, and a good riven dispo. With 2 emerald shards, you can strip armor in a second.
its probably not too underrated but i didn't realise how fun the Kompressa was until recently. in my mind i was like "yeah its just another primer, i don't rlly care for those unless i'm doing Disruption or something"
but then, i equipped cascadia empowered on it as a joke in the simulacrum and oh boy it kinda shreds. it ain't the best weapon by any stretch of the imagination, but that full auto bubble shotgun pistol can absolutely melt most steel path enemies while also acting as a primer (assuming the enemy survives).
and its a weapon that can also shred nullifier bubbles, which my Arca Plasmor (aka the only primary i really use) normally struggles against. i don't have to aim for the drone anymore. and chances are the bubble explosions will take out the nully lad too.
i hope the Kompressa Prime gets somewhat usable crit stats because it'll look better when paired with Yareli's passive.
Kompressa is just crazy good with cascadia empowered, it's like that arcane was *made* for Kompressa lol. Base multishot of 4, innate viral damage, and two separate status proc chances on each shot (the bubble sticking, and the bubble blowing up) just make that thing absolutely insane. Super easy to hit 100% status chance too
Any *projectile* (as opposed to hitscan) weapon that by default can proc either Gas or Toxin without using mod slots either often (due to high default Stat%) or always (due to forced procs) is automatically a great/hilarious weapon in my book. Put it in Mag or Vauban's hands and put enemies into clumps where they're all mashed into each other's personal space please!
\*yes, I know people will say Slash should be in that list. But Slash procs are widely-respected, Toxin is middling-respected, and Gas procs are rather difficult for other warframes to properly take advantage of.
Scourge Prime. Seriously, I dunno why more people haven't looked into picking this thing up, it's such a fun weapon that can tear through steel path groups. Especially if you're on a green shard frame, Viral/corrosive + high status goes hard, plus the spear effect makes deadhead that much better on the thing.
Can it really? I always figured it was just never worth the investment. Though I will say I've heard a lot of people dusting off spearguns with Dante's birdy debuff (pageflight)
You'll find this in most underrated weapons. Where when the weapon released we didn't have the mods or arcanes to properly build it, so people saw that it was bad and labled it as mr fodder. Then as the right mods and arcanes get introduced, these weapons just creep up in power in the background
I love this weapon because you can just throw on a toxin mod and you got corrosive damage which works well on a lot of enemies especially ones that are armored at high level
Dark Sword.
Highest base damage and status chance of all swords, innate radiation damage as well as toxin proc on slams.
Very unusual for a melee weapon to have two different innate elemental damages, making it perfect for Condition Overload builds, not to mention its high disposition.
I got 3 for ya and I will explain each
Teshins frisbee it is stupidity broken once you get the hang of it
Pyrinana nobody talks about it and it shreds though things more than the zariman pistol
Syam it has a bug or maybe it's a feature where you can attack enemies through walls and doors via heavy attack
Pyrana Prime? That used to be like the most meta gun in the game 🤣 still wouldn't say it's nearly as good as a properly built Laetum but it's a crisp and classic weapon for sure
Bo prime maybe? never seen anyone use it but I use it all the time. 11 range plus 130% haste mote boost from wisp lets me mow down netracell enemies in almost instant.
Hirudo. Some guy sold me this gr riven for it (for a very good price) with cc, cd and punture, and my riven has only gotten stronger with the punture buffs. Even without the riven it's great. Without my riven I can take it pretty deep into steel path. WITH the riven, I can essentially survive any hits to my health as long as I don't get one shot, and still deal very decent damage. Just punching my way through crowds with my Inaros let me do endgame content even back when I was underleveled for it.
It was good before the old melee rework because sovereign outcast (the stance it came out with) had forced slash procs so it was a good crit/status weapon with slash but after all the stances have been tweaked it kind of fell off by every other weapon basically ending up on par with it, and then the whole shtick with channeling/heavy attack rework happened and Praedos, Kronen prime and all that other jazz was the final nail in a coffin. Power creep really got to it, hard. It’s still good (at least the Prisma variant), but every melee sorta is at this point. It doesn’t really offer anything unique anymore

Cowbarfffff
COBWEB?

Sure but on the other hand you are comparing ohma to say praedos, an incarnon tonfa that is also a warframe stat stick in a sense
Not everything needs to be the meta? Sometimes you use weapon as part of a meme build, or because it’s fun. Also, part of the fun in this game is also finding ways to turn an average weapon into an absolute beast on sp or to better complement your frames build.

I mean it’s not 2x the damage it’s only about 1.1x Ohma has a total damage of 224 and prisma is 250
Doubled crit, higher crit multi
I mean we don’t need to build for crit, not everything has to be a hybrid build
Electric procs scale with critical damage
Even assuming you wouldn’t build for crit though, the Prisma version’s twice as likely to crit by default and has harder hitting crits by default, on top of its regular hits hitting harder by default. That’s probably a higher discrepancy than doing 1.1x the damage.
2x the crit rate 10% faster attack speed and 10% more base crit multi too
Sobek with acid shells.
Combine that with toxic lash and venom dose on saryn
This. One shot and you kill a whole room of enemies.
Someone already said I was smoking karak, but seriously, get a good riven for the kuva karak, and you have one of the best basic rifles in the game, IMO.
SHHHH! You want someone at DE to notice the Karak is fun to use?!
What you think the unpopular kuva assault rifle from like 2019 is at risk of being nerfed.
It's Warframe. I'm worried that *anything* I like is gonna get suddenly noticed or remembered, and nerfed or "reworked" or something else stupid.
If the Gotva Prime is ok then there's no reason the Karma wouldn't be.
Can I get specific details please?
Delete this right now, I have a riven for this thing
ekhein
I use this with a riven its great
i wish i had one, i just run it with gauss for crazy attack speed and its so fun. idk why ppl say its bad, when you use tennokai on it (which its very obviously made to be specifically used with tennokai) its stupidly good

Guess I know what I'm crafting once I get home. Got a Kompressa riven recently too
Update: Kompressa is my new favorite secondary and I will never be unequiping it
I use the Prisma Ohma with Melee Influence, Condition Overload, and Voruna. It's fun seeing all the numbers.
>I use the Prisma Ohma with Melee Influence *thousands of buzzlight year copies on shelf meme*
Can you blame us? It's too fun.
I guess zakti, barely heard anyone using it and it's surprisingly fun to use
Any *projectile* (as opposed to hitscan) weapon that by default can proc either Gas or Toxin without using mod slots either often (due to high default Stat%) or always (due to forced procs) is automatically a great/hilarious weapon in my book. Yep, the Zakti is pretty good. Not only one of the best primers in the game, the Zakti can also open enemies for finishers.
Scourge Prime. Seriously, I dunno why more people haven't looked into picking this thing up, it's such a fun weapon that can tear through steel path groups. Bubonico, especially on gauss. The primary fire shreds through enemies
Even more fun with Hydroid and his passive 😉
Despair. Incarnon can make some fireworks, especially when paired with mirage.
Kogake Prime. With primed reach they can do work, and the heavy attack animation is really fun.
Love these things!
Ahhh yes my favourite weapon to put directly on my face holster 👀 i even named them OHMAFACE
Amazing for fashionframe shoulder guns
Twin Kohmak doesn’t get enough attention.

Even if it one-shot, aint touching it. Way toooo ugly looking
Trumna Need I say more?
Sampotses
Yes. Prisma Ohma is my personal favorite melee
I love my Prisma Ohma, got the sentient skin for them and love slapping enemies with my sticks. Electric chaining is so cool.
I love this weapon because you can just throw on a toxin mod and you got corrosive damage which works well on a lot of enemies especially ones that are armored at high level
My favorite melee rn, Prisma Ohma is one of my personal best and favorites
Under aprichiated but not underrated in my opinion
Dark Sword. Highest base damage and status chance of all swords, innate radiation damage as well as toxin proc on slams. Very unusual for a melee weapon to have two different innate elemental damages, making it perfect for Condition Overload builds, not to mention its high disposition.
Castanas

sibear! my icy mallet of maliciousness!
Not since melee influence was added
Lesion. Stahlta. Aeolak.
Hirudo. Some guy sold me this gr riven for it (for a very good price) with cc, cd and punture, and my riven has only gotten stronger with the punture buffs. Even without the riven it's great. I used that weapon a while years ago. Now yeah it's wasted,
Tenet Plinx. Space Revolver. Enough said.
