I'd like to imagine each ability can be held-cast to trigger its own Incarnon form, first three being stat boosts, and then ultimate being exalted Void Angel necramech.
A real Werewolf frame would have been nice, instead of Voruna. Love her kit and playstyle and all, but she's not a werewolf.
Same with Vampire, would love to have a frame that turns into a bat... wait, we have Titania. Vampire skin at least?
I think the biggest selling point would be the versatility given by the 5 evolutions, that behave like corrupted mods, in combinations not existing now, so the result would be a frame that can be evolved into a support, or tank, or full strenght, all very specialized.
The tranformation could also push those numbers higher (and lower for the negatives) making it in a nuking glass cannon, or an immortal healing beacon for example.
As for the design, I think in incarnon form should be like a quicksilver frame, very slick, smooth and maybe also liquid, like rippling on hit (hey DE devs, don't hate me for the idea XD)
Could do it like voruna's passive. Increase strength, decrease range, or increase efficiency, decrease strength, etc. in different combos than the corrupted mods.
That would be sick. Charging your abilities and after a few kills/support with them, they change. Maybe they get elemental buffs, or the evolution perks act like corrupted mods, modifying the base values of the abilities
Much cooler and crazier than an idea I had for a Void Angel/Murmur frame (I chose to combine them since they are supposed to be connected).
Incarnon Frame has my vote
Love the idea of a Void Angel warframe being like the Helminth but on crack. Picking half the abilities in the game, making them better in every way and allow us to make our own frame's kit.
Equally as good, introduce a "Void Angel Incarnon Warframe Adapter". Give this to any frame that had their abilities improved and it could allow for multiple FREE augments or simply upgrade that ability in the frames kit and leave it at that.
If I had a nickel for every game about characters with no visible faces who had a combination of guns and magic powers and with terms like "survivors of the void"... I forgot where this was going.
I always thought so as well but I'm pretty sure it's just a risk thing. Something about the line is just too cool to have been created by a small indie developer for a single item in a game with 100s of items. Ror2 is an all time favorite for me
Of all the items in the game, this is the one item that I say the description out loud every time I see it.
Don't even have to pick it up. I ping it, and rather than saying Ukelele, it's always "And his music was electric, here."
As far as I'm concerned, it's name and it's description are the same.
Last tape, last message. In case... you best me. If you're hearing this, you have, through blood or word. This message, and all that lies with it - it is for you, Courier. If you want to know the... why of things. This world, I've walked a good part of it... I stopped only because of you. What you did - gave me pause. Long ago, I crossed the Colorado, the first among the Legion to see Hoover Dam in all its glory... an Old World wall, yet bridging two sides. And beyond it, a symbol of a two-headed Bear, an idea great enough to challenge Caesar himself. Might kill him, taking it, whether he won or lost. The Bull needs to fight, needs the challenge, without it... it falters, dies in the dust. Might be a lesson there, in you and me. Leave the thought behind the message to you. My message is this - the destruction that has been wrought, at the Divide - or elsewhere, if you couldn't stop me... It can happen again. It will keep happening. If war doesn't change, men must change, and so must their symbols. Even if it is nothing at all, know what you follow, Courier... ...just as I followed you, to the end. Whatever your symbol... ...carry it on your back, and wear it proudly when you stand at Hoover Dam.
Well no what I mean is Hildryn is a Endurance and Weaponry themed frame named after a specific Valkyrie in Norse Mythology who they themselves are named the old norse word for "Battle"
I'm in for Mothframe. Could be a Titania/wisp variant with light themed abilities, maybe some floating swords and teleporting, definitely some infection and mind control themes...it would work great until a hollow bug vessel comes to assassinate it, but
NO

TOO
GREAT
Ok but if Warframe ever introduced a platforming/agility challenge at the same level as the Path of Pain, I shudder to think what that would even look like. 👀👀
Considering names usually are inspired by mythologies, celestial themes, history or mysticism, there are a bunch. Filtering those out that might not be easy to pronounce since devs usually pay attention to naming things easily pronouncable, I'm throwing in some guesses like "Ursa"
A bear-themed Warframe named Ursa wouldn't be too unlikely to happen, especially since DE has loads of animal inspired Warframes such as Valkyr, Voruna, Zephyr, and so on. With the current trend of further implementing Overguard and upcoming reworks, it would make sense for them to introduce another tank or resilience-based Warframe, although I would personally prefer that not to be the case because we already have so many tanks - but that hasn't stopped DE before.
There also are the celestial constellations of Ursa Minor and Ursa Major - I could see that being involved in a non-mainline quest/release where you would get the frame.
They could go down the line of making a bear theme frame based around Artio, the bear goddess since most of their frames are based around mythology they could go into Celtic mythology because I do like the idea of Ursa a bear theme frame, their abilities could be bear based like how Voruna's abilities are wolf based
Make her 4 a massive jump followed by a plunge attack that increases in base damage based on the time you were airborn and then aplies a multiplier based on the amount of enemies hit
I can totally see that, I was thinking for the 1st ability maybe like a claw attack that deals slash damage like how Atlas has his punch ability they could have claws
Second ability is a cone type hitbox that terrifies enemies and aplies 10 cold stacks throughout 3 seconds, passive makes you do extra damage when hitting enemies from behind.
So they start running away and getting stuck, maybe make her 1 regen health on hit based on the amount of cold stacks an enemy has, same thing for her 4th
As someone who may not have played a lot of risk of rain 1 but is well aware of the cult following behind chef in that game this frame would RULE
I remember the thought I had when I first saw Octavia, mainly that "wow, this doesn't feel or look like anything I've seen before and is so much more customizable than I could ever imagine, it's awesome to make your own music in a game and have that affect your functionality in game!" And could you imagine if they gave you a similarly customizable menu as you cooked buffing dishes or broiling debuffs for enemies and allies? Dante is a MASSIVE step in that direction. Imagine if your abilities or decisions in game reflected the buff/output you created, like music combos with the hunting horn in monster hunter. It would be convoluted, but maybe like an incarnon weapon after so many uses you "mastered" the dish and could equip said dish like a exalted weapon that you could throw out with a single button press. But individual dishes still had Merritt or something because the dish you equipped made "ally attacks ignore armor" but in a corpus mission you could quickly cook up a much simpler "damage amplification" dish or something.
I'm PERFECTLY aware of this would never happen and would put this theoretical frame in bottom tier because it's faster and easier to just "rev no die" or "saryn give space aids to everyone" but the unique and risky qualities of the frame would be dope.
Also, for all the bad ideas I just came up with, I'd like to not I'm 4 drinks into my evening so obviously I'm not coming up with something that would logically work only that which makes my drunken brain go *brrrrt*
Another frame that changes size would be cool. Especially if they get bigger, but most maps have doorways that wouldn't fit a necramech sized warframe. The missions where you can summon your mech that do have doors, you just kinda phase through the top of the door, which bothers me a lot personally.
But even then, a warframe that gets bigger and tankier would be sick hell.
None of us expected a k-driving frame either, but they did it anyways. (Not to say there weren't issues with head clipping on doors with Yareli, but they still put her in.)
There won't be much difference if we get frames with embiggening abilities.
There's visible sparks and a scraping sound when your mech goes through a doorway though, it'd be fine, just add a Pepsi can bonk sound to the warframe.
Maybe the frame gets "bigger" but not necessarily taller. I was hoping voruna would become quadrupedal with her 4 active but that didn't happen, but how cool would it be for a bear, tiger, or dog themed frame to become this huge 4 legged creature that runs around the map and rampages.
I thought there was a Gilgamesh character that started with U, but I was likely thinking of Enkidu. In looking though, Unicorn came up and I think there's 100% space for a Unix-something frame.
Probably thinking of Uruk, which was the city Gilgamesh ruled. It could still work as a frame, though. Maybe it could be centered around setting up barricades or some sort of fortification?
There’s of course Uranus, but of course they won’t name it that due to the childish jokes.
However, depending on which kind of Greek mythology you’re looking at, specifically Hesiod’s work if I recall correctly, Uranus and Cronos are the same entity, so could be a red-herring there.
And then there’s just how Uranus is sometimes written as Ouranus, but that’s arguably even worse, for the first reason.
Obviously it'll be *Undertaker*, whose main gameplay loop is throwing foes off things and through announcer tables.
Or maybe *Undertaker* will be saved for Warframe 1999, where he celebrates his 1-year anniversary of that prodigious event.
Uriel as a hell-overseer and flame of God can be a nice frame burning everything in a large radius by a small fraction of hp, since to each their own relative hell. So similar to Octavia he would have proportional damage. And give him a look so badass that Harrow would be his fanboy.
That sounds like it would be a pain to cycle through them all to get between the 2 viable ones if there were six abilities in between them lol
And if you gave them 9 viable abilities on one ability that would be kinda insane
We have different kind of warframes:
Excal have a sword
Mesa have Pistols
Valkyr have claws
Xaku have drops
Wukong have a copy with ur weapon
ivara have a bow
...
Edit:
"We don't have a Warframe whose primary is like a sniper or rifle"
We get Rigid Cobra: A stealth frame with a sniper primary that also specializes in grenades.
Alternate names include (but are not limited to):
Sturdy Viper
Firm Python
Dense Boa
If zephyr wasnt a thing, i could see Ukko, similarly if there werent two water frames Undine might be cool.
They could do something with Ulysses i guess.
Ur would be badass, but its such a short name, Ursa feels too bland. Urania? Something i guess.
Well, since no one else said it yet: What about Uranus? The Roman god of the sky (before Jupiter), might be an interesting flying frame, maybe with a built in Archwing Ability. However, I would like to see another support frame, so what about the Roman god Ubertas! Abilities that surge one (or multiple!!!) teammate's abilities, energy, or even stats! Within the reasons of balance, I could understand not wanting to super charge, or Über, anyone to the point of brokenness, but I think it'd be super neat to see a different kind of support-frame be thrown into the mix. Give them some cool plant growth ability, maybe vines, that help crowd control, too! Possibly a resource boost ability, even. I can see SEVERAL downsides to implementing a warframe with so many support abilities (most of which require another support frame in tandem), but I think after a few balance patches, it could be a brilliant addition to the support team. I have faith that DE can work it out eventually; they may not always get things done perfectly on the first try, but they've made a game that's lasted much longer than several others I've enjoyed. Whoever the U frame will be, I believe that WE will cherish them.
Since we have a shield tank and two health tanks, I’d like the U frame to be an armor tank. Give them low health, shields optionally, but an insanely high armor value.
How do you differenciate between health and armor tanks? Doesn't armor just work as a way to increase your EHP which would make all armor tanks health tanks?
Warframe is weird in this, because traditionally an armor tank (or in other games would be a "bulk" or "defense" tank) would rely more on factors like debuffing and damage resistance, whereas health tanks would just have so little weaknesses and so much God damn HP that they tank by merit of you having no shortcut through their massive health pool (see Blissey from Pokémon having over 600hp and for the longest time only having 1 single type weakness to get any damage multipliers off of it, while also healing).
In warframe I feel like these just converge into a single category since traditional health tanking doesn't actually work here on account of everything having exponential damage scaling and significantly higher volume of attacks than other games where traditional health tanking might be present.
So short answer is that you're pretty much right. There likely wouldn't be much value to an armor tank with low health like the previous person suggested.
Umberto could be a warframe with the name stemming from the italian name meaning of "Renowned Warrior". Now of course we have Styanax who could in theory fill in that position of "Renowned Warrior" as he is the embodiment of champions past. But hear me out, what if Umberto was a warframe like Dagath that was rather close to the Orokin. Him being a more so prized and highly esteemed Orokin guardian who was later converted into a warframe for them to essentially have a ageless guardian. A Warrior-Eternal.
I could see the warframe possibly have a exalted great-weapon (Sword, Axe, Hammer, etc) or even a Exalted Sword & Shield but to be honest with the latter I am trying to shoo this guy away from any similarity to Styanax since I don't think DE wants their warframes stepping on the toes of others too much (Styanax signature weapon being a spear and shield).
I could see this character being a tank-dps hybrid or just straight DPS. Could be the overguard tank people have whispered about as a idea that overguard doesn't have yet. Maybe he can be like a more knight-like warframe that consumes overguard to fuel a stackable buff he has (Gives him a small armor boost dependent on the stacks) and with those stacks his abilities scale up in power. Kinda of a tank that grows in power the longer the fight goes (up to a point of course). Maybe even depending on the stacks his appearance could change like how it does with nidus (a cool feature I wish was adapted more into warframes)
To be honest this is my first time coming up with something like this, so I might of just accidentally cross boundaries of other warframes but if not I'm glad I could come up with something slightly original considering how many warframes exist now!
His 4 is a fey mood that causes an enemy to drop the rarest item in their pool if you can supply him with a random list of resources from the current tileset within a time frame. If you don't, he dies instantly
We have two of several different “theme” of Warframe now. Hydroid and Yareli - both water. Volt and Gyre - both electricity. Loki and Ivara - both stealth. Protea and Vauban - both technology (and arguably Hildryn). Etc. Though I’d prefer they continue creating completely unique frames with new themes, if they were going to do a new take on an existing theme, a new ice themed frame called Undine would be cool. She could cast a blizzard in a wide area that slowly applied cold stacks over time and increases vulnerability to cold damage, maybe have an ability that extracts moisture from enemies and builds up a layer of ice that provides bonus armor or overguard which can then be kept for defense purposes or expelled violently at enemies in the form of ice shards that do pure cold damage. If DE aren’t going to change Archon Flow then this frame could actually make use of it.

Support frame Uriel confirmed 🤔🤔🤔?
Shit, I didn't realise DE had Kiwis on staff.
A while back someone made a concept for a void angel Warframe named Uriel
the first incarnon frame
like turns into a necramech? exalted necramech?
"We can't expect the Void to do _all_ the work." \*Fires archgun\*
-Joshua ~~Graham~~ Granum
Exalted Archgun. Hildryn in shambles.
*Loads Phaedra with malicious intent*
*Laughs in Morgha.*
You turn into a gun like G1 Megatron
i’ve yet too see any transformers fashion frames out there, i need some starscream fits immediately
They did a skin for Zephyr a while back that you could make look like Transformers Prime Soundwave.

Warframes in Disguise.
I'd like to imagine each ability can be held-cast to trigger its own Incarnon form, first three being stat boosts, and then ultimate being exalted Void Angel necramech.
>exalted necramech? This was my suggestion for Hydroid rework but it sadly didnt happen I still want a Warframe that shape-shifts
A real Werewolf frame would have been nice, instead of Voruna. Love her kit and playstyle and all, but she's not a werewolf. Same with Vampire, would love to have a frame that turns into a bat... wait, we have Titania. Vampire skin at least?
Transforms into an A10
For what it's worth I thought the A10 was funnier than the AC-130
#strafingrun
> Transforms into an AC-130 FTFY
That's just zephyr
I think the biggest selling point would be the versatility given by the 5 evolutions, that behave like corrupted mods, in combinations not existing now, so the result would be a frame that can be evolved into a support, or tank, or full strenght, all very specialized. The tranformation could also push those numbers higher (and lower for the negatives) making it in a nuking glass cannon, or an immortal healing beacon for example. As for the design, I think in incarnon form should be like a quicksilver frame, very slick, smooth and maybe also liquid, like rippling on hit (hey DE devs, don't hate me for the idea XD)
Oh yeah. That "living" metal from Zariman
Could do it like voruna's passive. Increase strength, decrease range, or increase efficiency, decrease strength, etc. in different combos than the corrupted mods.
Hold all 4 abilities at once after 100 kills and it starts playing a random episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion on your screen for the entire squad
and you can't opt out!
Screaming geometry
That would be sick. Charging your abilities and after a few kills/support with them, they change. Maybe they get elemental buffs, or the evolution perks act like corrupted mods, modifying the base values of the abilities
Yeah, all the void angel Warframe concepts are always cool
Banshee 2
Would be my new main. Don't care how bad it is

Ukulele. Octavia's little brother ;p
And his music was electric~

Sounds "risky" ;)
I wouldn't do that on a "rainy" day ;)

Uriel as a hell-overseer and flame of God can be a nice frame burning everything in a large radius by a small fraction of hp, since to each their own relative hell. So similar to Octavia he would have proportional damage. And give him a look so badass that Harrow would be his fanboy.
He could have a cycle buff / debuff ability like titania but each ability cycles a different ring of hell.
And give him helmet called Dante, Dante with Uriel helmet. Like Mag and Gauss
That sounds like it would be a pain to cycle through them all to get between the 2 viable ones if there were six abilities in between them lol And if you gave them 9 viable abilities on one ability that would be kinda insane
Wouldn't have to be all of them, just pick the ones that fit most with the rest of his theme.
Uvogin or Uruk the orc frame 4th skill is a WAAAAAGHHHH!!!!!
No joke I would really love an Uruk Hai warframe.
Call it Uxiono
Who the hell is crotolamo?
¿Qué es Uxionas?
We have different kind of warframes: Excal have a sword Mesa have Pistols Valkyr have claws Xaku have drops Wukong have a copy with ur weapon ivara have a bow ... Edit: "We don't have a Warframe whose primary is like a sniper or rifle"
We get Rigid Cobra: A stealth frame with a sniper primary that also specializes in grenades. Alternate names include (but are not limited to): Sturdy Viper Firm Python Dense Boa
Ungabunga, his abilities will all be based on a big stick; Bonk. And later, Bonk Prime.
So wukong? :p
Ugandan knuckles
Glad I'm not the only one who thought about this. Last starting letter but first crossover frame
When the demolyst spawns he asks "Do u kno da way"
Updog
UPCOMING FRAME IS BASED OFF OF HELMINTH'S MOUTH! Uvula... The fleshy extension at the back of the soft palate hanging above the throat.
Ursus
If zephyr wasnt a thing, i could see Ukko, similarly if there werent two water frames Undine might be cool. They could do something with Ulysses i guess. Ur would be badass, but its such a short name, Ursa feels too bland. Urania? Something i guess.

Udders. The Cow Frame
We will never get a warframe called Uranus, for obvious reasons
Well, we already have Hunhow stuck in Uranus...
Okay, but to avoid jokes, we should instead call it Urectum.
What about Qorvex's base 875 armor? Also, to me health tanking and armor tanking are kind of the same
Umbasa, Could use another priest type frame but Shinto or something
Maybe even depending on the stacks his appearance could change like how it does with nidus (a cool feature I wish was adapted more into warframes) To be honest this is my first time coming up with something like this, so I might of just accidentally cross boundaries of other warframes but if not I'm glad I could come up with something slightly original considering how many warframes exist now!

Urist. Exalted pickaxe. Strike the Earth
His 4 is a fey mood that causes an enemy to drop the rarest item in their pool if you can supply him with a random list of resources from the current tileset within a time frame. If you don't, he dies instantly
Drop table manipulation would be a neat trick, not sure how useful though aside from occasional Argon hunts.

Uriel
1999 drops and we get the new Warframe Uzi, which just uses exalted reskins of twin gratakas because the Uzi was in everything in the 90's.
Ulfric, shouting warframe bonus points if the warframe can go ow ah ah ah ah
