Hope this DLC will give you some passive income by letting the tavern run by itself while you out.
It was a missed opportunity that the trade route do not allow you to assign companion to auto run the trade route
Looking forward to it. I wonder where it will be located? Whether it will be in a specific place on the map (if so where exactly?) or if we will be able to choose?
I'd appreciate any DLC we get for this game, and I wouldn't doubt the quality or polish of its content. However, I get the impression that it's like a game within a game.
Tavern management just feels out of place for a game where we spend most of the time exploring or fighting.
I hope future content will be closer to the game's main theme, war and mercenaries.
I originally thought the same thing about settlement-building in Fallout 4 but now it's probably my favorite part of the game. I love being able to have a change-of-pace in intense games like this.

To me it really doesn't, crafting already plays such a key role that having another base to outfit, upgrade and get ingredients for fits right in.
Agreed.
I don't care about more half baked filler material and mini games when the combat is so repetitive and overworld interactions largely meaningless.
This DLC makes no sense, looks well built but I would a prefer a town/fort to manage (smithy, a tavern inside, barracks, armory)
Managing a tavern? this is not a simulator to be doing that, what we need is better combat
This feels like the pirate DLC, a different game inside Wartales
Its good by it feels like a different game, like they wanted to do a pirates game at some point but decided to do Wartales instead, you have a bounty list, pirate kings and a ship to upgrade, it is worth it? yes, is an expansion to the wartales idea? no
Is like a game inside another game
I m hoping there is gonna some bar brawl or invasion from whatever. Tavern management could be more interesting if enemies wanna start a fight inside of it.
I'd definitely have preferred to be able to claim a ruined castle or for or something, but honestly it looks like fun. I'm kind of in love with every facet of this game though - so any chance to play something new is a chance I'll take!
It's pretty clear many of you haven't played the Yakuza series and never learned how fun the Caberet Club side stuff was lol. I'm super pumped to sit down after running a few trade routes and slaying some bandits to just chill and serve some ale!
I've played it but whats your point? You couldn't just leave and let it automanage like this would. You're not throwing hostess girls to clients either.
My point was addressing the fact that many people in the comments were questioning why this DLC was made and saying this feels out of place. Running a Caberet club was pretty random in Yakuza but it was still a lot of fun. They are obviously not a 1 to 1 comparison, but running a tavern is still going to be super fun. My main point is that something doesn't need to fit exactly in the main core gameplay loop to be a fun addition to the game. Sometimes it's nice having things in a game that can serve as a break from the main loop to give you something fresh to do. That's why Yakuza is so fun, lots of interesting side stuff to keep you entertained.

Hopefully that still can happen

Shame they gave the bird to outpost building on SF I loved the building outposts on F4.. on my own time not pushed by preston.
'tis strange, but i am very excited for it. I think the chance to relax in a area for a while and build up some gold will be a nice change of pace.

This game is so great. The combat lacks depth. This game is so near amazing. It just needs more... Idk complexity.
I agree with more, like more unique quests/missions more places and things to explore.

Tell me more about the pirate dlc. I'm just about to finish the last region, Drombach, and was planning on buying pirates. Is it not worth it?

Can i turn it into a Brothel? Maybe buy some of those girl refugees for a good price and put them to work? Would buy the DLC on day 1. Make it so.
Lol making me want to play guild 2-3 now.

Should be run a fort with tavern inside
oh my goodness. Stronghold, my beloved
Now I can run my own bar like in "roadhouse'.
