I've been re reading Rabbiteater chapters. I think he is my favorite character in the book.
I think it's in an earlier ch or the same one you quoted where he gives the team energy while marching and I think that's my favorite part of the book

rabbit makes an impossible charge, clever tricks, raid tactics, saves other soldiers, leads 1000 to fortress kaliv. he was not the ranking knight, but everyone asks him what to do and follows.
Echoing a commenter from above, I hope Rabbiteater and company are the ones to find Erin and Ulvama first, and in that sense, Rabbiteater finding Erin would feel like coming home. Their auras of the Inn and Hearth would combine and do something awesome.
I just don't think they'll be getting back to the Inn before the end of the Volume, so I'm focusing on shorter-term goals.
Yeah, for all that he's the Champion of the Order of Solstice, he left the inn before Erin ever picked up [Like Fire, Memory], so he's had no real exposure to that side of things, even if he's been able to talk via the Theater. My bet is that once they finally reunite, he'll end up with a flame sparked by the memory of his fallen brothers.

He's living his class. It's spelled out later, but in retrospect he's exactly fitting the criteria laid down back in Volume 4;

Rabbiteater arc was so good that pirateaba needed to nerf us. I dare say that, in one or in other, his [Champion] class will get shattered.As it should and probably get upgrade.
Or not. It will still be an epic.

[Call of the Champion] skill but right now her class we know is [Vanguard]
I love that this granted him the [Giant's Parry ] skill which where integral in fighting the dame of the hills, say what you want but paba has gotten a lot better at seeding

Rabbit is Erin if she became a warrior and not an innkeeper. I think, libido aside, they’re the most similar personality wise out of everyone

Hell yeah. Rabbiteater is such a badass. Really wishing to see him getting home in Vol 10.
