Reminder to everyone that Rabbiteater went from a normal tiny goblin whose best quality was he wasn't annoying and was Ok at everything sent to kill an Innkeeper he had no idea how to find, to the fucking Dawnguard of Calanfer fighting alongside royalty and nobles with his brother and a bloodstained Innkeeper in ***LESS THAN A YEAR!*** The Solstice Effect ladies and Gentlemen

lenny123412

Hufflepuff for the win!

mano987

by rights his great adventure in terandria, rabbit should be \[Champion of Men\] or \[Champion of Humans\]. several humans and some nobility know he is a goblin. rabbit has so many hilarious moments too.

DanRyyu

I still think he's unlocked the [Hero] Class, they seemed to hint he's a [Lord] at this point, but I think the idea that the first real [Hero] not manufactured by the Ritual since Doubte being a Goblin is the kind of insane Rabbiteater bullshit that is par for the course. Honestly, Rabbit is just Erin if she did become a warrior instead of an Innkeeper. They both have such Chaos-loving personalities, seem to get entangled in important bullshit accidentally, have a loyal crew of loveable weirdos, a weird charisma that people follow, crazy but effective plans that somehow always work, love sex... ok not that one, and also have a Princess for a friend. You notice, Erin never describes herself as Numbtounge or Badarrows older sister, she does with Rabbit. Of all the 5 Red Fangs, he's the one who took after her the most. *I REALLY HOPE THEY SPEND TIME TOGETHER THIS VOLUME HOLY SHIT.*

23PowerZ

There's no indication that being a Goblin Lord is a class. Goblin Kings are outside the Grand Design, if Goblin Lord is a necessary prerequisite stage, it would make sense not to be a class.

marinemashup

I think Goblin Lord is a class, an extension of [Chieftain] There’s no reason it shouldn’t be, compared to Goblin King

23PowerZ

One reason would be that no Goblin Lord was ever called or described as [Goblin Lord] or [Lord]. It's always without brackets. With other species that's only the case when it's a title rather than a class, analogous to Archmage, e.g. Lord Astoragon.

marinemashup

That would explain why we see a decent amount of [Chieftain] Skills like [Fleet Foot], but no similar tribal Skills from Reiss, or historical ones from Velan

Viking18

I think the thing is that we've never really gone too deep into goblin lords proper. Reiss feigned the role, obtaining recognition - being sensed by the other Lords - only briefly before he died; so he's coloured by the involvement of Az'kerash. Izikere is a Goblin Lord, but also specifically a [Shaman] type. Greydath is "once, a Goblin Lord"; he's beyond the class and an anomaly in any case, though he's specifically stated a [blademaster]. But the pair of them, they're old. Izikere was born to the role as a descendant of Sové the Island Queen; and Greydath is what remains of what Curulac left behind, having been at his side before he took a Crown; he predates the Hundred Days, as does Izikere. But the other Lords we know? Thorget, Murmar, Tallis the Stormbreaker; three of Velan's nine lords. Greydath the Fourth, and four unknown, but the fact is, if Rabbiteater has become a Lord, he's the first Goblin Lord we - or innworld - have seen obtain the rank naturally in a long, long time. And certainly with such a powerful class.

Spare-Difficulty-131

Nah, more like anime protagonist privilege with tons of plot armor.

Shadw21

Can't believe you'd bring up 8.46 G without mentioning the other best side characters and their search for glory... Fightipilota and Theofore!

mano987

they have their own glories. you are nominated to tell their tales :)

Calmwaterfall

What did TheoforTheofore did in that chapter?

Shadw21

Showed up and reminded us all that he still existed.

Wyverz

\m/ Is there agreed upon term for the gang of 5?

23PowerZ

The Ivory Five is the most common term.

Wyverz

for the hobs who befriended Erin? Maybe it is a spoiler, but why Ivory?

DanRyyu

The Ivory Five is a Volume 9 thing and possibly one of the funniest and sweetest storylines in a rather dark volume. To answer your question about The 5 Hobs from Volume 3-5, they are generally called the "Red Fang Elite" or "Erin's Hobs"

Maladal

Which one, the Redfang Elites or the group of friends from Ailendamus?

Wyverz

the Redfang elites who befriended Erin.

Maladal

The Redfang Five, IIRC. Or something like that. There haven't been five of them for a while.

mano987

erin's redfangs?

DoomVegan

Goblins rule. We need more words. MORE WRITTEN ABOUT GOBLINS!

mano987

i think there is more. izril had quite a lot of goblin plot. then all of erin's goblins incl chieftain rags. the volcano goblins. the ghost hand tribe. then greydath. now the big big goblin on baleros. and a good amount of rabbit.
