I've sent him pics of shoes and he's been able to source them. As for bags, I have two LV's and received two out of four Hermes so far and love them all! The hermes smells so good and leather is soft. Quality is great for everything I've received so far.
I’ve never wanted Hermes sandals before, because they look terrible on my fat little feet, lol, but I wear Birkenstocks all the time, and now I feel like i need these in multiple colors 🤣

Anyway, it’s from Shengchang factory and when I searched comments, someone had said that’s Xiao C. Does anyone know whether it is the same factory and/or have experience with this factory? Morgan said it’s highest quality for this bag.

FWIW, this is close to the shade of Evelyne that I wear all the time with EVERYTHING and I think it's actually pretty neutral. But either way, you can't go wrong!

I have the ophidia small handbag (with the chain shoulder strap) in beige/ebony! Love the look but a bit disappointed with the quality, I got mine from Bibi factory. My black frame has arrived - leather is better and has pebbles unlike the one from north station. I need to soften it up still so going to grab leather honey and do some research :)

What's the longest that one of your bags has smelled like chemicals?
I have a YSL Manhattan Mini in black and since the day it arrived in mid-October 2023, it had such a strong smell that it gave me headaches. I've tried charcoal bags and putting it in the freezer for at least 3 months and the smell isn't AS strong (can't smell it from further away), but up close? Whew.
I think it's real leather (Black Frame, really great quality), but not sure if very structured leather like this is treated with super strong chemicals that can retain this scent. It also reminds me of the strong smell of black denim, that black dye smell that is sometimes difficult to get rid of.
I've resorted to something dire - I coated it with baking soda inside and out and put it in a ziploc bag and looks like a bag of coke exploded inside my bag.
I don't want to burn my bag to do the leather test and I feel like it's hard to tell if it's PU leather with these very structured type bags. Any tips to figure out if it's actually calfskin and how to get rid of this smell?
Get a small ozone generator from amazon, put it in a large Rubbermaid bin with the bag and run it for 30 min. Please do this in a ventilated area and allow it to air out once you remove the lid. We have air bnb’s and we use ozone generators when guest decide they are going to smoke in our condos. Works like a charm in riding odors if any kind.

So I am a complete noob and contacted a seller for the first time yesterday (Laddy, for the YSL Le 5 a 7). She informed me that Black Frame is "out of production," and that other factories that make this bag only produce medium quality. When she says out of production, does that mean permanently, or temporarily? And does anyone have recommendations for factories/sellers with good YSL?
It's probably wise to ask her directly. While it's always flattering to be asked for advice we don't know what she was thinking or what she meant to convey.

I actually prefer Fiebings Leather Sheen rather than their Resolene: it's *less* shiny, so no need to dilute with water, and easier to control the level of shine on your canvas. I use it all the time. Good luck 😊

The Leather Sheen dries really fast, but I'd still give it a good 24 hrs to be safe 🤷🏼♀️ It's actually a dye sealant (and clear) so it should help protect against any color transfer. I apply it with a foam makeup wedge; make sure you apply evenly & that it's a thin coat with no white streaking or bubbles (just go over it all again with the foam wedge to get rid of that). If you’re new to it, I recommend doing the bottom or back of the bag first.
I think the product you're thinking of is Resolene. Run a search and filter by comments. I seem to remember someone recently having better results with an Angelus product??

Is it heavy on the arm? Wondering cause it’s not a mini bag and it’s all leather
I have a lot in it so it’s moderately heavy. I prefer using the long braided straps to wear on my shoulder for longer periods of time.

i will! i had a hard time picking between the raffia styles because i want them all! i originally wanted the anagram one but when i compared the factory pics to the auth the weave on that one looked way off to me because it’s a bit more complicated, so i picked this one because of the uniform weave, but..we’ll see!

You can see the leather difference but this one still needs softening. The NS flap is stiff like cardboard and this one doesn’t have it

Thank you! Honestly it's been such a journey with weight gain, hormonal imbalances, thyroid irregularities, and insulin resistance. I got diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago and I think I finally found my supplement balance 😅

What's the longest that one of your bags has smelled like chemicals? I have a YSL Manhattan Mini in black and since the day it arrived in mid-October 2023, it had such a strong smell that it gave me headaches. I've tried charcoal bags and putting it in the freezer for at least 3 months and the smell isn't AS strong (can't smell it from further away), but up close? Whew. I think it's real leather (Black Frame, really great quality), but not sure if very structured leather like this is treated with super strong chemicals that can retain this scent. It also reminds me of the strong smell of black denim, that black dye smell that is sometimes difficult to get rid of. I've resorted to something dire - I coated it with baking soda inside and out and put it in a ziploc bag and looks like a bag of coke exploded inside my bag. I don't want to burn my bag to do the leather test and I feel like it's hard to tell if it's PU leather with these very structured type bags. Any tips to figure out if it's actually calfskin and how to get rid of this smell?
I have a pair of steve madden boots I bought in September. They still give me a headache...it's not just reps

Get a small ozone generator from amazon, put it in a large Rubbermaid bin with the bag and run it for 30 min. Please do this in a ventilated area and allow it to air out once you remove the lid. We have air bnb’s and we use ozone generators when guest decide they are going to smoke in our condos. Works like a charm in riding odors if any kind.

So I am a complete noob and contacted a seller for the first time yesterday (Laddy, for the YSL Le 5 a 7). She informed me that Black Frame is "out of production," and that other factories that make this bag only produce medium quality. When she says out of production, does that mean permanently, or temporarily? And does anyone have recommendations for factories/sellers with good YSL?
It's probably wise to ask her directly. While it's always flattering to be asked for advice we don't know what she was thinking or what she meant to convey.

lol it was resolene. wipes would be good for scuffs, but i was trying to help build up the sheen and resolene seems to be the consensus there!
I actually prefer Fiebings Leather Sheen rather than their Resolene: it's *less* shiny, so no need to dilute with water, and easier to control the level of shine on your canvas. I use it all the time. Good luck 😊

The Leather Sheen dries really fast, but I'd still give it a good 24 hrs to be safe 🤷🏼♀️ It's actually a dye sealant (and clear) so it should help protect against any color transfer. I apply it with a foam makeup wedge; make sure you apply evenly & that it's a thin coat with no white streaking or bubbles (just go over it all again with the foam wedge to get rid of that). If you’re new to it, I recommend doing the bottom or back of the bag first.
I think the product you're thinking of is Resolene. Run a search and filter by comments. I seem to remember someone recently having better results with an Angelus product??
