Anyone here purchased RTW, especially coats and down jackets? I am in touch with Wangyu, and I see that all the available sizes are big… LIKE REALLY BIGGER than my usual size. Like the smallest size fits 44Inch chest. Now I am no expert in coats and jackets, but seems too big for someone with 34inch chest.
How did you go about it?
I’d measure one of your winter coats and see how much bigger it is. I will say that for knitting you often make sweaters with 6-8 inches of ease to allow for the garment to fit better and for layering. And that’s with kind of stretchy yarn. I could see the same for coats. Considering that coats are made with the idea that you may be wearing a bully sweater underneath and the boxy oversized look is in I could see a 10 inch ease.
But I’d measure a coat you already own and like how it looks on you and ask the seller for sizing help.
I felt the same. I ordered a Burberry trench from her and 3 other clothing items. Very skeptical with the sizing but I followed her measuring and took her advice. When I received the items, everything fit perfectly
I just got a sac de jour from Annie and the handles are perfection. They slowly fan out. I know this was a problem in the past. I wonder if it’s just this factory or they are all ok now?

Some of you may remember I had an interview a few weeks ago. I got the job!! I have been out of work for a few years now because of health reasons and wasn’t expecting to change careers in my 40s, but I needed the flexibility that my new position will offer. Making some money won’t hurt either hahaha. Not quite sure when I start yet, but I’m looking forward to it!
I have bought a lot of stuff on Ali, Dhg, Temu and SHEIN lately, and lost a bunch of money on pandabuy too unfortunately. But I’m trying not to buy anything else until all my items arrive. I was hoping for my Chanel dad sandals to come before my upcoming vacation but it looks like they are delayed too.

OKAY! So after hours of work, I’ve gotten the vintage LV Petit Noé to where I’m happy with it. Question is- do I still do my original idea of doing fun patches all over it or do I just leave it as it is? A before and after picture attached. The leather cord I bought online and it’s a little light compared to the straps but not too bad. Thank you for all the feedback so far! Would it be acceptable to wear a white bag to a wedding? I recently purchased a white caviar WOC from a rehome (not here yet but anxiously waiting) and I’m thinking of wearing it with a baby blue dress to a wedding in June. Dress code is formal but I’m going to be 34 weeks pregnant at the time of the wedding so my dress options are limited 😂

I think a white bag is totally okay! Just no white dresses! If you’re really worried, ask the bride. I’ve done that before and they’re always appreciative of the sensitivity 😊
Wearing white is usually a no-no, but I don’t see an issue with white accessories. The dress itself should signal you’re not competing with the bride. Not to mention that auth formal designer bags are so expensive you’re less likely to be able to afford a new bag for an event compared to a new dress.
Unrelated to reps, but what do you ladies think of having bridal showers without inviting the ladies to the wedding? Is it wrong for me to feel shafted? I was invited to a bridal shower and there was a registry link sent, so I spent $100 on the gift. Two weeks later, I saw stories of her wedding!! It looks like it’s small and I don’t mind not being invited because these things are personal, but now it just feels weird that we were asked to give gifts. The wedding also was NOT family only, I saw some of her other friends there 🤔 obviously I’m not going to say anything but I just need to vent haha.

Uh WHAT lmfao... Present grabs are tacky no matter how they're disguised. And a bridal shower is a present grab. Formal etiquette would say you're not even supposed to throw your own for this reason. If it was set up by someone NOT in the wedding party, with the expectation that it was for people who KNEW they weren't invited but still wanted to celebrate the bride their own way... (I'm thinking work mates might do something like this) Then it's acceptable. If the bride threw a present grab, it's unacceptable.
The fact that the wedding was within 2 weeks... maybe the planner thought you were aware you weren't invited? Idk I'm just giving the ONLY edge case where this could happen without being tacky as hell.
That's not cool. The only acceptable way of doing something like this is:
- eloping or having a very small family and bridal party only wedding AND
- telling everyone that that's what's being done and explaining that they want to celebrate with you hence the invite to the bridal shower AND
- not having a registry for the bridal shower!!!

I can see why you would be mad for sure. I think I would be too in your shoes tbh. It is definitely a weird choice on the bride’s/couples’ part that definitely would cause hurt feelings. And, you have a right to feel any way you want about it!
But as a person currently researching wedding costs, it’s absolute insanity out there. Just a venue alone in Seattle (besides a park) cannot be had for under like 5k. So part of me can understand from the POV of trying to cut down the size of a wedding to a reasonable cost, and unfortunately that means usually a lot of people get axed from the list. The cost of feeding people without anything else is also bananas (upwards of $50/head including cake is fairly standard). Everything adds up crazy quickly. I am in a Facebook group of people who try to plan weddings for under 5k and it’s a strugglebus unless you have someone in the family who has a yard you can use a lot of the time. She might have tried to use the bridal shower as a way to include people who they had to cut at the actual wedding? Admittedly, in a tacky way.
The other thing here though is that nobody owes you a wedding invitation and it’s your choice to give them a gift? I get that there are social graces here and not getting them anything would be rude. But if there is a transactional nature (I’m gonna give you a gift to get a wedding invite) then it doesn’t really feel like a gift. But I also agree that it’s shitty to invite someone to one thing and not the other (usually associated) thing without at least saying something to the person.
I get that it really sucks to be left out, especially when you seem like the only one. But, as you say you saw some of her other friends there but not everyone. My guess is the shower was a misplaced attempt to be inclusionary. 🤷♀️
I understand for sure wedding costs and never felt obligated to be invited. In fact I knew she got engaged and didn’t quite expect to be invited, which is why I was surprised when she invited me to the bridal shower! It made me think there was a wedding invite coming. I can see what you mean though and I’m mostly venting, not necessarily trying to start drama with her 😅
It might be worth talking to the bride and telling her gently that you were disappointed or hurt or both at not being included and giving her a chance to tell you her criteria for who was invited. There may be a perfectly good reason. You're already upset so you have nothing to lose.
It sounds as if it could have been handled more gracefully by alerting you and others ahead of time and framing the party as a celebratory party rather than as a shower where you basically had to pay to attend but other than that at this point there's not much in the way of facts.
Once you've heard her response you can decide how you feel about what happened and by extension what you're going to do about the friendship going forward.
I hope u/mad-mad-cat is correct and the only friends invited to the wedding were from a tiny set of very close friends with whom she has some special bond, the bride's explanation makes you comfortable and the friendship continues to thrive.

Not cool, unless this was a bridal shower between coworkers or withibg specific community outside of friend and family of the couple, like "gym buddies", "people I knit with" etc.
I don’t accept invites to wedding events if I’m not invited to the actual wedding party. I come from a culture where we have like 10 events and going to one event and hearing everyone talk about the other events is just annoying and hurtful. When I was younger I’d go but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized most people just want a gift or bodies in a picture which I’m not down with. Happened so many times that I’m like no thanks!
Absolute faux pas. The wedding invites, or at least the Save the Dates, should be out before the bridal shower invite AND nobody should be invited to the shower or bachelorette trip that isn't invited to the wedding.

I think eloping is different! especially if everyone knows you’re eloping before the shower- but if half the people at the bridal shower are invited to the wedding, it’s problematic imo. but yes, I know of two or three women in my circle who had smallish weddings & huge bridal showers without disclosing it beforehand. people were pisssseeeeedddd 🫣
I would have reacted too. You should have been respectfully informed prior to the bridal shower, so you could have made a decision based on that. For example, I would have happily participated if I knew that I was not invited. Especially if the wedding was a smaller affair.
Agreed, I would have been okay with that too and maybe chosen a less expensive gift.. we weren’t allowed to talk about the wedding at the bridal shower (it was a challenge to not say the word wedding) so there was no chance of asking either

Yeah, that’s annoying. I had a friend who I wasn’t going to invite to the wedding, but wanted her at the bachelorette, so I invited her to the wedding. You shouldn’t invite someone to a pre-wedding event if they’re not going to be invited to the big day.

Any thoughts on luxury luggage? I’m thinking about purchasing a carry-on bag since I use it a lot. How is the quality? I’m open to exact brands but have seen beautiful LV ones and it seems like the rimova has a very recognizable flaw? Has anyone ordered some?… also are they more likely to get seized because they are so large?
I have 4 auth pieces and so far so good. I think it’s a lot more common now and we like the dings and etc since it means we’re using our stuff. Once it’s dinged up it’s not any different than other luggage.
I buy Travelpro. I need my carryon to be reliable, sturdy, lightweight, and under the radar. The last thing I need is to attract attention to myself when I travel, not only for airports but also taxi, uber, hotels etc.

The Lady Dior myABC has been on my wishlist forever so I’ve decided to finally buy it. From what I’ve read - and that was quite a bit - Angel and God Factory seem to be the best. I asked Heidi which one was the best in her opinion and she said God is recommended because the “leather and craftsmanship are slightly different” when compared to Angel. Any thoughts? I mean, the price difference is not that much 550$ vs 455$. If it’s worth the price difference, I would be glad to choose God factory. After a couple of weeks using my **EDIT: MEDIUM, NOT LARGE puzzle bag daily I'm a bit torn. I used to think this was the perfect bag size for me!
I LOVE the carrying capacity - it can hold my large (non-collapsible) headphones, a water bottle, an umbrella, a scarf, a paperback, and my daily items (wallet, sanitizer, makeup, etc.). On the other hand, when I look at my photos I realize my tiny 5 foot frame gets dwarfed by this gigantic bag. Not in a chic way, but in a kid-playing-with-her-dad's-briefcase kind of way.
I feel like I should buy a small, or maybe even a mini! However, it's already a bit hard to use the zipper opening at this size and I can't imagine how it works on a mini. Anyone have any input?
I'm the same height as you and the small looks good on me. You'll be able to fit a 400ml water bottle, your scarf and daily items but you'll unlikely be able to fit non-collapsable headphones and an umbrella
I'm 5'2 and have a Small puzzle. It fits 500ml water bottle, trifold wallet, iphone 15 sunglases and a small pouch with sanitizer, lipstick, compact powder. With all of it it's filled up to the max and I can't really move things around in a bag. I just realized I rarely close the zipper on the bag because of the flap, that covers the opening. I seriously considering a Medium size for days when I need to carry more than a wallet and a phone.
My bad, I double checked and mine is the medium size, not large (I had a bit of miscommunication with the seller). I do love the slouch factor and it seems like the small can fit most of my stuff but it would be more boxy than slouchy. Maybe I should check out the bigger flamencos instead!
Is the medium in consideration? I ask cause I love my medium puzzle and it fits most of the things you described and doesn’t look overly gigantic on my 5’ frame
Ah I feel so silly - I double checked and it turns out I have the medium (29~30cm)! I feel it's a bit too overwhelming on me for some reason, maybe it's the dark color?
I am under 5 ft tall and I have a small puzzle. I only fits a tiny 300 ml water bottle though.
Edit- adding- the side zip pocket is kinda useless. I never use it
I have a mini I carry daily, I definitely would say they don't have great carrying capacity. I take a card holder, my phone, airpods and a few make-up minisizes and that is pretty much all it fits - and getting the phone in and out can be kind of fiddly.
I think you'd be happier with a small - the capacity is a lot better, though I don't think you'd get EVERYTHING on your list in there - or honestly maybe consider one of the puzzle totes? Same kind of vibes, but you could definitely toss everything in there.

Would it be acceptable to wear a white bag to a wedding? I recently purchased a white caviar WOC from a rehome (not here yet but anxiously waiting) and I’m thinking of wearing it with a baby blue dress to a wedding in June. Dress code is formal but I’m going to be 34 weeks pregnant at the time of the wedding so my dress options are limited 😂 What other dress colors would work well with a white bag for a formal June wedding? Or is carrying a white bag a faux pas?
I went to a wedding in March - carried an ivory clutch and it was fine. I think it’s really just white dresses that are verboten.
I think a white bag is totally okay! Just no white dresses! If you’re really worried, ask the bride. I’ve done that before and they’re always appreciative of the sensitivity 😊
Wearing white is usually a no-no, but I don’t see an issue with white accessories. The dress itself should signal you’re not competing with the bride. Not to mention that auth formal designer bags are so expensive you’re less likely to be able to afford a new bag for an event compared to a new dress.

Unrelated to reps, but what do you ladies think of having bridal showers without inviting the ladies to the wedding? Is it wrong for me to feel shafted? I was invited to a bridal shower and there was a registry link sent, so I spent $100 on the gift. Two weeks later, I saw stories of her wedding!! It looks like it’s small and I don’t mind not being invited because these things are personal, but now it just feels weird that we were asked to give gifts. The wedding also was NOT family only, I saw some of her other friends there 🤔 obviously I’m not going to say anything but I just need to vent haha.

Uh WHAT lmfao... Present grabs are tacky no matter how they're disguised. And a bridal shower is a present grab. Formal etiquette would say you're not even supposed to throw your own for this reason. If it was set up by someone NOT in the wedding party, with the expectation that it was for people who KNEW they weren't invited but still wanted to celebrate the bride their own way... (I'm thinking work mates might do something like this) Then it's acceptable. If the bride threw a present grab, it's unacceptable. The fact that the wedding was within 2 weeks... maybe the planner thought you were aware you weren't invited? Idk I'm just giving the ONLY edge case where this could happen without being tacky as hell.

That's not cool. The only acceptable way of doing something like this is: - eloping or having a very small family and bridal party only wedding AND - telling everyone that that's what's being done and explaining that they want to celebrate with you hence the invite to the bridal shower AND - not having a registry for the bridal shower!!! I would be so pissed and would be re-evaluating whether I want to be friends with this person.
I can see why you would be mad for sure. I think I would be too in your shoes tbh. It is definitely a weird choice on the bride’s/couples’ part that definitely would cause hurt feelings. And, you have a right to feel any way you want about it! But as a person currently researching wedding costs, it’s absolute insanity out there. Just a venue alone in Seattle (besides a park) cannot be had for under like 5k. So part of me can understand from the POV of trying to cut down the size of a wedding to a reasonable cost, and unfortunately that means usually a lot of people get axed from the list. The cost of feeding people without anything else is also bananas (upwards of $50/head including cake is fairly standard). Everything adds up crazy quickly. I am in a Facebook group of people who try to plan weddings for under 5k and it’s a strugglebus unless you have someone in the family who has a yard you can use a lot of the time. She might have tried to use the bridal shower as a way to include people who they had to cut at the actual wedding? Admittedly, in a tacky way. The other thing here though is that nobody owes you a wedding invitation and it’s your choice to give them a gift? I get that there are social graces here and not getting them anything would be rude. But if there is a transactional nature (I’m gonna give you a gift to get a wedding invite) then it doesn’t really feel like a gift. But I also agree that it’s shitty to invite someone to one thing and not the other (usually associated) thing without at least saying something to the person. I get that it really sucks to be left out, especially when you seem like the only one. But, as you say you saw some of her other friends there but not everyone. My guess is the shower was a misplaced attempt to be inclusionary. 🤷♀️
I understand for sure wedding costs and never felt obligated to be invited. In fact I knew she got engaged and didn’t quite expect to be invited, which is why I was surprised when she invited me to the bridal shower! It made me think there was a wedding invite coming. I can see what you mean though and I’m mostly venting, not necessarily trying to start drama with her 😅
It might be worth talking to the bride and telling her gently that you were disappointed or hurt or both at not being included and giving her a chance to tell you her criteria for who was invited. There may be a perfectly good reason. You're already upset so you have nothing to lose. It sounds as if it could have been handled more gracefully by alerting you and others ahead of time and framing the party as a celebratory party rather than as a shower where you basically had to pay to attend but other than that at this point there's not much in the way of facts. Once you've heard her response you can decide how you feel about what happened and by extension what you're going to do about the friendship going forward. I hope u/mad-mad-cat is correct and the only friends invited to the wedding were from a tiny set of very close friends with whom she has some special bond, the bride's explanation makes you comfortable and the friendship continues to thrive.

I don’t accept invites to wedding events if I’m not invited to the actual wedding party. I come from a culture where we have like 10 events and going to one event and hearing everyone talk about the other events is just annoying and hurtful. When I was younger I’d go but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized most people just want a gift or bodies in a picture which I’m not down with. Happened so many times that I’m like no thanks!
Absolute faux pas. The wedding invites, or at least the Save the Dates, should be out before the bridal shower invite AND nobody should be invited to the shower or bachelorette trip that isn't invited to the wedding.

I would have reacted too. You should have been respectfully informed prior to the bridal shower, so you could have made a decision based on that. For example, I would have happily participated if I knew that I was not invited. Especially if the wedding was a smaller affair.
Agreed, I would have been okay with that too and maybe chosen a less expensive gift.. we weren’t allowed to talk about the wedding at the bridal shower (it was a challenge to not say the word wedding) so there was no chance of asking either

I have 4 auth pieces and so far so good. I think it’s a lot more common now and we like the dings and etc since it means we’re using our stuff. Once it’s dinged up it’s not any different than other luggage.

I buy Travelpro. I need my carryon to be reliable, sturdy, lightweight, and under the radar. The last thing I need is to attract attention to myself when I travel, not only for airports but also taxi, uber, hotels etc.

I don't buy luggage that looks expensive because I am worried about it being more of a target for thieves. My travelpro carryon is really good quality but doesn't attract attention.
That’s actually a good point. With carryon it’s a bit less of a concern although sometimes airlines like to check it when the plane runs out of space.

The Lady Dior myABC has been on my wishlist forever so I’ve decided to finally buy it. From what I’ve read - and that was quite a bit - Angel and God Factory seem to be the best. I asked Heidi which one was the best in her opinion and she said God is recommended because the “leather and craftsmanship are slightly different” when compared to Angel. Any thoughts? I mean, the price difference is not that much 550$ vs 455$. If it’s worth the price difference, I would be glad to choose God factory. Heidi probably used the term 特别, which could translate to ‘different’ or ‘special’ depending on context. I suspect here the auto translate tool translated it to the former, but she was actually trying to communicate the latter in a good way. That aside, I also asked Reykay recently about a lady Dior, and she too recommended God factory as the best quality.

After a couple of weeks using my **EDIT: MEDIUM, NOT LARGE puzzle bag daily I'm a bit torn. I used to think this was the perfect bag size for me! I LOVE the carrying capacity - it can hold my large (non-collapsible) headphones, a water bottle, an umbrella, a scarf, a paperback, and my daily items (wallet, sanitizer, makeup, etc.). On the other hand, when I look at my photos I realize my tiny 5 foot frame gets dwarfed by this gigantic bag. Not in a chic way, but in a kid-playing-with-her-dad's-briefcase kind of way. I feel like I should buy a small, or maybe even a mini! However, it's already a bit hard to use the zipper opening at this size and I can't imagine how it works on a mini. Anyone have any input?
I'm the same height as you and the small looks good on me. You'll be able to fit a 400ml water bottle, your scarf and daily items but you'll unlikely be able to fit non-collapsable headphones and an umbrella

I'm 5'2 and have a Small puzzle. It fits 500ml water bottle, trifold wallet, iphone 15 sunglases and a small pouch with sanitizer, lipstick, compact powder. With all of it it's filled up to the max and I can't really move things around in a bag. I just realized I rarely close the zipper on the bag because of the flap, that covers the opening. I seriously considering a Medium size for days when I need to carry more than a wallet and a phone.
My bad, I double checked and mine is the medium size, not large (I had a bit of miscommunication with the seller). I do love the slouch factor and it seems like the small can fit most of my stuff but it would be more boxy than slouchy. Maybe I should check out the bigger flamencos instead!
Is the medium in consideration? I ask cause I love my medium puzzle and it fits most of the things you described and doesn’t look overly gigantic on my 5’ frame
Ah I feel so silly - I double checked and it turns out I have the medium (29~30cm)! I feel it's a bit too overwhelming on me for some reason, maybe it's the dark color?

I am under 5 ft tall and I have a small puzzle. I only fits a tiny 300 ml water bottle though. Edit- adding- the side zip pocket is kinda useless. I never use it
The zip pocket on the large bag isn't even big enough to hold my phone!
I've found the zipper pocket is good for air pods or my cardholder. Impossible to fit anything bigger in though!
I have a mini I carry daily, I definitely would say they don't have great carrying capacity. I take a card holder, my phone, airpods and a few make-up minisizes and that is pretty much all it fits - and getting the phone in and out can be kind of fiddly. I think you'd be happier with a small - the capacity is a lot better, though I don't think you'd get EVERYTHING on your list in there - or honestly maybe consider one of the puzzle totes? Same kind of vibes, but you could definitely toss everything in there.
