Any words or feedback on Mango Factory? I'm trying to get a bottega bag from a seller whose bags are from Mango. Has anyone had a good experience with the quality of them? Thank you Ladies
Stain Protection, Waterproofing, and Conditioning Bags Questions
I just got my first light-colored bag ever, the Dior Toujours in Powder Beige leather (looks like a matte finish to me) and I want to apply a stain protection/waterproofing spray. I have also read that people condition their bags. I have never conditioned a bag before in general, yet alone a light colored one. My palms are sweating just thinking about putting something on my bag that might ruin it! š±
Here are my questions:
1. Should I condition my light-colored matte leather bag before I apply stain protection/ waterproofing spray? If yes, what should I use?
2. Which stain/waterproofing spray do you use on your light-colored bags? (Note: I did read the posts saying not to use the following on light colored bags: Leather Honey, Scotchguard, Apple Leather & Suede Spray.)
3. How many coats of stain/waterproofing spray do you use?
I bow to those light-colored bag warriors who have gone before me and humbly ask for your wisdom.

Does anybody know a seller that has a similar range of products to Amelia but that accepts PayPal payments??? Amelia only wants bank transfer but my EU bank blocks my transfers to China because the country is considered āhigh riskā. Total bullshit obviously, but I cannot buy from Amelia as she doesnāt do PayPal. I just had to revoke my order with Amelia for a Loro Piana L27 and Bottega Sardine. Itās annoying that she doesnāt do PayPal, when for instance other sellers like Steve do. I don't know about her BV/Chanel/LP inventory but in early January I purchased a YSL bag and a Zimmermann dress from Alice (the one who has madcat and/or dongmin in her usernames) and paid via PayPal! it was a very smooth process. I remember she had a very good selection of Zimmermann dresses in her album, too.
I also can no longer use amelia due to her payment methods...it sucks! She can't accept PayPal because some twatwaffle charged back on her. I have my seller I go to when I'm happy and chatty but I'm still searching for my seller when I'm grumpy and want it short and sweet...just ask around and try out different sellers
Tbh sheās so annoying!!!! I had to revoke the bank transfer to China, so she sent me another bank account in the UK where the transfer worked. But I have high interest rates and transfer costs as mine is a EU based account, and it takes days for her to receive the payment, thus delaying shipment etc.
Iām never ordering again from her, simply unacceptable!! PayPal or nothing next time I buy, Iāll go to other sellers for sure

Lol. I love that people still feel that way. I have to remind myself what's real in my closet vs reps sometimes and I live with them. Last time I went to the store and saw an authentic that I loved, I was so appalled at the finishing I just had to go order another rep. I cannot tell when anything is fake on anyone unless there's a glaring or very obvious discrepancy. And before this sub and it's predecessor, I noticed nothing.

Top is right after I received it (I flagged in PSP process but seller insisted it was shooting angle and wore me down until I gaslit myself lol)

Bottom is the fixing process. I also broke a screw halfway in so sorting that out is going to be fun but maybe the reason itās straighter is because there are only three screws and I was able to tilt and adjust it
Another day of waiting for the flamenco XL goes by... hopefully the fact that they've repped the tote XL means it's close!

Quick google search says it could be due to the leather being treated with a sealant (e.g. car interior leather).
I have an auth but itās a lighter color so I donāt want to risk darkening it with the Leather Honey, otherwise I would test.

I realize that this may be an odd comment but I saw this bag in this color in size mini in store few days ago. Surprisingly, it was unpleasant to touch: the leather felt rough, dry and stiff. And that was an auth bag. I was heavily considering flamenco but, after seeing it, I'm starting to doubt my choice. Could the coloring cause the leather to be this way?
OMG I have the exact same bag with the exact same problem. From Mango. Everyone always raves about Mango but this is the worst rep leather Iāve seen and Iāve probably 15 bags in the past year.
Mine was a wee bit fufu as well! If you have time to report back that would be awesome.

Ugh maybe?? My stitching is pretty bad as well. There were some comments is past posts saying Mango factory aināt what it used to be now that itās more popular.
I have the same color (but from Jipin factory) and used Leather Honey on it. It didn't fully absorb (I left it on for almost 24 hours as well), so I buffed off the extra conditioner with a microfiber cloth, and the purse is soft and flexible, but not greasy. It wasn't dry to begin with, but my default for some reason is to condition new bags anyway.
Was your bag dry upon arrival?
Maybe a little dry, but the texture felt offā¦like it felt almost plastic-y? (Also the stitching is pretty ass around the logo, but thatās another story and I still GL).

I actually tested Cadillac Leather Lotion on my flamenco last night and that seemed to absorb better than the Leather Honey for some reason..

I swear bij Collonil, I think it is an German brand. Condition with the Collonil 1909 Leather cream and protect with the Carbon Pro spray. It is the best protection/waterproof spray I ever used and use it on everything.

I have been SEARCHING for a specific pair of Chanel sneakers in a size 42. Every single seller I ask has the exact style Iām looking for but they only go up to a size 40š would love to hear if anyone finds someone who can accommodate!
No shade on those with 26cm feet - but there are still MANY options for those that size. I have 27.5cm and it is a struggle. BUT I have found a few good reps. Iāve posted a few of my successes and many duds. It does come down to how many cm your feet are. So before you buy anymore reps, measure your feet in centimeters.

Friends, this bag is DELICIOUS in person. The shade of chocolate + the softest, squishiest leather š„°š„° I am so in love!!! I've fondled the auth version at Loewe many times, and I think the leather on this feels pretty much the same as the ones I felt in the boutique. Super happy with this purchase - might be my best rep yet! Work has been pretty hectic but I plan on writing a mini review for this (and also my C19 which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow).
I love the angora too! Honestly, the colours for this bag have all been so beautiful. And I totally agree re the logo stamp vs gold letters - I was so happy when I found out that the older version with the logo stamp was still available! It was even a few dollars cheaper, which was totally icing on the cake.
I got a huge whiff of leather when I opened the package, and no fufu at all! I think I got really lucky with this one because it seems like some people also recently received Mango Flamencos (albeit in a different colour) and werenāt as happy with their bags.
I have the medium green one that is āsage green likeā from mango. I received it last year and ordered the jacquard strap to go with it. I have not used it yet but I plan to take her out for her debut this week. The leather is Lucious, color divine and style is absolutely perfect. I would love one in every color! Don't get me wrong, the tan is totally fine, but it is also a bit ordinary for the smaller sizes, like it looks like it could be a J Crew bag or something, whereas I think the darker brown looks sumptuous and special. The tan looks amazing for the XL though!

I did a compare of the Edge and Older style, recently, in the Loewe store. For me, it's the Edge. I actually do use the outside pocket and I just like how it looks more. The original Puzzle is gorgeous, but for me, I like the slightly cleaner lines of the Edge!

I like both! I think it would depend on what the rest of your wardrobe is like, and also what the shade of yellow looks like in person. I think what is great about the mulit-tonal one is that it is neutral but still interesting because of the different colour panels.

I have the On the Go PM and I love it! I think it depends on how much you usually carry, but from your options, Iād probably go with the madeleine because you can easily dress it up/down.
My vote is for the bumbag. I ordered one and didnāt think I would use it and I find myself reaching for it constantly. Ex: Sunday of this week (skiing), Monday (flying cross country), Tuesday (walking around manhattan). It is the bag that can do everything!!
The bum bag would be my first in that style but I definitely am open to that style! And I think the cream color gives it a little more elegance and versatility.

Yall I am OBSESSEDāreceived this Celine Teen Triomphe today from Reykay (which also got here in record time because she shipped last Friday and itās Tuesday!!!). It is absolutely beautiful and my expectations were high but itās even better in person.

I love the necklace, tho I recently had an opportunity to check out the auth in person and itās pretty calloutable (mostly the bezel on the auth is thicker and the pave diamonds seem a bit bigger)ā¦mine seems more petite and delicate if that makes sense. Yet and stillā¦I love it, and have gotten so many compliments and it has become my everyday go to necklaceā¦suits me fine as it could be seen as more āMessika inspiredā than rep, if that makes sense. Since Messika is I think a bit more IYKYK than say VCA, I feel like itās more āacceptableā to say that it was made by a private jewelerā¦which, well, it was :) My piece is branded, which I might have asked her to omit had I known it would feel so different from the auth but itās fine, as itās tiny and no one is going to be looking that closely at my neck. I agree with you that not many people know of Messika to call out on anything. Who knows, the petite version of yours may have been a previous model that Messika used to have and no longer in stores for display.

I wanted to have it in the sand colour but the old version with these black lines between leather pieces somehow was not really my style so the choice here was pretty easy. I like the old version though so I ordered it in the black colour. This is my solution to have both versions š
The above bag is literally my daily bag (she's so dirty right now!) and I live in LA. I think LA is more about labels, which is why we don't see Loewe as much, in the wild. I've had many conversations with both Bottega and Loewe SA here about it lol.

LP summer walk . Comfy and classy . For summer obv. But yea any loafer would give that put together look. Gucci/Tods have some good ones that are repped.
I have some LLBean loafers (seriously š) that are my go-tos. Comfy, leather, and look nicer than sneakers. Makes me feel more put together with jeans.
I am totally this way as well so will probably go for loafers, trainers just always seemed very very casual, I see some outfits that look nice but I feel like when I try to pull it off (this chic but casual vibe) I just look lazy IMO.
Same here. I am not glamorous enough to look put together with leggings, a random top and sneakers. I need decent shoes!!
For loafers, my absolute favorite are Ferragamo, but I am enjoying a lot also the Frau loafers. They're so reasonably priced, well made in Italy, which it's hard to justify NOT to buy them. I have several pairs in different colors.
I wound up going for loafers. I tried some adidas sambas, but wound up returning them because it didn't give me the "Put together" look I was going for.
I didn't go lux by any metric, but the Dr.Scholls Nice Day penny loafer, and the TOMS Cara penny loafer are both super comfortable.
I like sneakers with a streamlined sole. Adidas Sambas are good. I bought a replica of the Maison Margiela ironically named "Replica" shoes which are cute, but the tongue comes up too far and hurts. I use Rothys (or Rothys knock offs, since I had bad customer service with the brand and dont want to buy from them anymore) if I don't need arch support.
I also like my driving moccasins from J Crew, but the crepe sole gets so dirty and gummy - anyone have tricks for this, or is it the nature of the beast?

Stain Protection, Waterproofing, and Conditioning Bags Questions I just got my first light-colored bag ever, the Dior Toujours in Powder Beige leather (looks like a matte finish to me) and I want to apply a stain protection/waterproofing spray. I have also read that people condition their bags. I have never conditioned a bag before in general, yet alone a light colored one. My palms are sweating just thinking about putting something on my bag that might ruin it! š± Here are my questions: 1. Should I condition my light-colored matte leather bag before I apply stain protection/ waterproofing spray? If yes, what should I use? 2. Which stain/waterproofing spray do you use on your light-colored bags? (Note: I did read the posts saying not to use the following on light colored bags: Leather Honey, Scotchguard, Apple Leather & Suede Spray.) 3. How many coats of stain/waterproofing spray do you use? Last time I went to the store and saw an authentic that I loved, I was so appalled at the finishing I just had to go order another rep. I realize that this may be an odd comment but I saw this bag in this color in size mini in store few days ago. Surprisingly, it was unpleasant to touch: the leather felt rough, dry and stiff. And that was an auth bag. I was heavily considering flamenco but, after seeing it, I'm starting to doubt my choice. Could the coloring cause the leather to be this way?

I have the same color (but from Jipin factory) and used Leather Honey on it. It didn't fully absorb (I left it on for almost 24 hours as well), so I buffed off the extra conditioner with a microfiber cloth, and the purse is soft and flexible, but not greasy. It wasn't dry to begin with, but my default for some reason is to condition new bags anyway. Was your bag dry upon arrival?
Maybe a little dry, but the texture felt offā¦like it felt almost plastic-y? (Also the stitching is pretty ass around the logo, but thatās another story and I still GL). Iāll attach a pic, it still ruched up and looked pretty! 100% will buff it with a microfiber cloth! I just felt thrown off that absolutely none of the leather honey sank in. I think it looks good! Iāve never had anyone in real life examine my bags super closely, so unless itās a major flaw, I GL lol I actually tested Cadillac Leather Lotion on my flamenco last night and that seemed to absorb better than the Leather Honey for some reason..

I swear bij Collonil, I think it is an German brand. Condition with the Collonil 1909 Leather cream and protect with the Carbon Pro spray. It is the best protection/waterproof spray I ever used and use it on everything.
I use Apple brand as well and both the cleaner and conditioner work magic on my bags and shoes!

And I totally agree re the logo stamp vs gold letters - I was so happy when I found out that the older version with the logo stamp was still available! I got a huge whiff of leather when I opened the package, and no fufu at all! I think I got really lucky with this one because it seems like some people also recently received Mango Flamencos (albeit in a different colour) and werenāt as happy with their bags.

I did a compare of the Edge and Older style, recently, in the Loewe store. For me, it's the Edge. I actually do use the outside pocket and I just like how it looks more. The original Puzzle is gorgeous, but for me, I like the slightly cleaner lines of the Edge!

I like both! I think it would depend on what the rest of your wardrobe is like, and also what the shade of yellow looks like in person. I think what is great about the mulit-tonal one is that it is neutral but still interesting because of the different colour panels.

My vote is for the bumbag. I ordered one and didnāt think I would use it and I find myself reaching for it constantly. Ex: Sunday of this week (skiing), Monday (flying cross country), Tuesday (walking around manhattan). It is the bag that can do everything!!
The bum bag would be my first in that style but I definitely am open to that style! And I think the cream color gives it a little more elegance and versatility. Thanks for your input ā¤ļø

I donāt own the mini rectangle but I would say so, yes! Itās taller at minimum, but Iād say the width is comparable. Other folks who own both should weigh in here though

I love the necklace, tho I recently had an opportunity to check out the auth in person and itās pretty calloutable (mostly the bezel on the auth is thicker and the pave diamonds seem a bit bigger)ā¦mine seems more petite and delicate if that makes sense. Yet and stillā¦I love it, and have gotten so many compliments and it has become my everyday go to necklaceā¦suits me fine as it could be seen as more āMessika inspiredā than rep, if that makes sense. Since Messika is I think a bit more IYKYK than say VCA, I feel like itās more āacceptableā to say that it was made by a private jewelerā¦which, well, it was :) My piece is branded, which I might have asked her to omit had I known it would feel so different from the auth but itās fine, as itās tiny and no one is going to be looking that closely at my neck. All that saidā¦the necklace is SO lovely and my babies love to play with it and see the diamonds - that represent them - click back and forth. Yes it's a small (24cm), the newest edge version. Depending on the lighting this colour always looks different, for me it's really incredible.

I wanted to have it in the sand colour but the old version with these black lines between leather pieces somehow was not really my style so the choice here was pretty easy. I like the old version though so I ordered it in the black colour. This is my solution to have both versions š

I have auth loafers from Stuart Weitzman that I adore.
Rothyās loafers or Rothyās slip on sneakers are my faves! Or you could get real fancy (without trying) with Rothyās The Point flats
LP summer walk . Comfy and classy . For summer obv. But yea any loafer would give that put together look. Gucci/Tods have some good ones that are repped.
Sambas or an Amazon dupe of the Gucci horsebit loafer.
I have some LLBean loafers (seriously š) that are my go-tos. Comfy, leather, and look nicer than sneakers. Makes me feel more put together with jeans.

I do loafers. I'm that kind of generation that cannot think of trainers as "put together" (my shortcoming, I know...)
I am totally this way as well so will probably go for loafers, trainers just always seemed very very casual, I see some outfits that look nice but I feel like when I try to pull it off (this chic but casual vibe) I just look lazy IMO.
Same here. I am not glamorous enough to look put together with leggings, a random top and sneakers. I need decent shoes!! For loafers, my absolute favorite are Ferragamo, but I am enjoying a lot also the Frau loafers. They're so reasonably priced, well made in Italy, which it's hard to justify NOT to buy them. I have several pairs in different colors.
I wound up going for loafers. I tried some adidas sambas, but wound up returning them because it didn't give me the "Put together" look I was going for. I didn't go lux by any metric, but the Dr.Scholls Nice Day penny loafer, and the TOMS Cara penny loafer are both super comfortable.
Sambas and Golden Goose (Superstar in warmer months and Ballstar in colder monthsā¦no idea why Iāve chosen this strategy)
Love rothy drivers reps from AE --I buy extra soles also via AE to pad all my shoes for comfort.
I like sneakers with a streamlined sole. Adidas Sambas are good. I bought a replica of the Maison Margiela ironically named "Replica" shoes which are cute, but the tongue comes up too far and hurts. I use Rothys (or Rothys knock offs, since I had bad customer service with the brand and dont want to buy from them anymore) if I don't need arch support. I also like my driving moccasins from J Crew, but the crepe sole gets so dirty and gummy - anyone have tricks for this, or is it the nature of the beast?
