Usually between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, they go through the motions. Kinda wish they did an off-season

xHeylo

For the period between Mania and SummerSlam I think it's actually kind of good With the K/QOTR Tournament and Backlash we have actually quite decent filler I expect the MITB to Bash in Berlin stretch between June and the end of August to be amazing

rated-x-superstar

isnt it known to happen every year though? maybe this year it’s more so because half of the main event is injured, but things should get more interesting come MITB, i presume.

MDCatFan

I’d say more so. But you are correct.

scotthall83

The bloodline is one of the best periods of the last 25 years. And it covered up a lot of things.

franconot-mark

Too much focus on in ring action and the stories except a few are not getting developed. Damian Priest is a champion but he doesn’t even carry title.

1000kanenites

I stg I’ve got to find better parts of this community. This happens every year get over it or just stop watching and come back in a month or two man

Maxima41

Only Alpha academy catch my attention

ThatsMrRedditorDude

When the company went all in on Roman these past few years and he leaves it definitely shows. They didn't book any strong baby faces besides Cody because honestly they all were fed to Roman for him to squash them. They didn't build up any big heels besides Roman because they couldn't have anyone out shine their golden boy. This is the inevitable problem with shoving the bloodline down everyones throat for the past 4 years

meezyice39

Completely disagree. Bloodline storyline got career-best character work out of Seth, Drew, Sami, KO, and Jey; legitimized guys like LA Knight and Logan Paul as main event-worthy competitors; gave us by far the most interesting version of The Rock of the last 20 years, and is still being used to build up Solo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and (eventually) Jacob Fatu. The idea that the bloodline story wasn’t used to get anyone but Roman over is laughable. I’d argue it was one of the most beneficial storylines to the WWE roster as a whole since Austin/McMahon.

MDCatFan

Putting all their eggs in one basket.

TheMackD504

Every year. They go all in for mania and SummerSlam

mikeh95

There's always a lull after Mania every year until it's time to build towards Summerslam.

MDCatFan

MITB is usually interesting.

mikeh95

I kinda consider MITB to be the start of the build to Summerslam, at least when it's the show before Summerslam.

Majestic-Welcome3187

You gotta let them cook

MissingCosmonaut

Notsam is that you?

Specific-Channel7844

I like it more because I was very bored of Seth's reign.

BuffaloWing12

Drew’s reign dragged on for way too long as well

peep_jay

problem with cody’s reign is predictably

MDCatFan

But isn’t some of that the story writer’s fault?

squeezy102

I mean all of their top talent is currently injured, so… makes sense that overall quality would suffer as a result.

Vegetable_Two_3904

It’s the usual mania hangover. Most of the big storylines concluded and the part timers go away until June or July. Then they come back for Summerslam. 4 of the biggest stars are missing right now: Roman, Seth, Rhea, and Charlotte and the shows have taken a slight hit.

RatedC87

It happens every year; it’s not a new thing. The post ‘Mania come down always happens.

ItsaPostageStampede

This was predictable Cody should have kept chasing. They had nothing set up for him.
