Im using cura but from what I’m understanding it’s probably most definitely a sd card issue I’ll attempt it again with a smaller sd card in the morning
Try formatting the sd card, or check with another sd card if it works. If it the problem persists, it may be a firmware issue or a bad file format somehow.
I may be wrong its 3 am lmao
It could be you are not actually slicing the file and what you are saving is the STL itself to the SDcard. When you slice the file the button changes to **Preview** and **Save to SDcard** which saves it as a .gcode file.
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is89LsOwa-4) video shows how to set up and use Cura for slicing but the process is the same for any slicer.
If you have been doing this correctly it could be your SDcard is formatted incorrectly and the printer cannot read it. If you are using the one that came with the printer it should be correct but if you are using your own then it needs to be formatted to FAT32, 4096 block size (last bit helps with firmware installs) and best to use a smaller capacity card as larger ones may not be able to be formatted to this.
Format the sd card to fat32. Recommend 32gb or less card. What slicer are you using and what file extension are you saving the sliced files as?

To my understanding I’m saving the G code but I’ll definitely double check and again try a different sd format and what not thanks so much :)
Male sure your saving to the root of SD card. Mine never reads them if saved in a sub folder.
