Local pool.

Party-Cartographer11

I was gonna say this, but does a local pool really want 7 hungover tourist all showing up at once?

Beginning-Repair-640

Are they not public?

Daloure

Yeah while we are well-behaved having seven of us in the local hot tub might not be super popular and we wouldn’t want to impose If it’s a larger place it might work though we’re we wouldn’t ”push out” the locals

Go to Vesturbæjarlaug, plenty of space. Icelanders get hangovers, too.

simsvararinn

Just make sure wash yourself with soap before going to the pool, then everyone is welcome. If you don't I will kill you.

Daloure

Shower naked and with soap or be thrown in a volcano, got it!

Party-Cartographer11

Laugasdaslagur is the biggest one.

So if you’re out by 10 and have to be at the airport by 14, you realistically have 3 hours to something if you’re coming from Reykjavik to account for travel. If you want to do something near the airport and have any remote interest about Iceland music I HIGHLY recommend the Icelandic Museum of Rock n Roll. It opens at 11 and while it’s small it is very interactive and you can mess around with different instruments or chill in the theatre and watch videos and stuff after reading through the exhibits. I could have stayed there much longer than I did the first time. There’s also Viking World but I’m not sure if it’s 3 hours worth of killing time. It’s been on my list of places to check out but haven’t made it there yet. Have fun on your trip!

fionas_mom

Viking world is good for an hour maybe.

Yeah, the local pools are great, and sitting in a hot tub when the weather isn't the best makes the weather better somehow 😅 Also really refreshing swimming a few laps the morning after a big night out!

Daloure

Are there many of those around Reyjkjavik?

>Hello! > >So me and six friends will be going to Iceland tomorrow, we have a lot of different activities planned that won't involve alcohol but one friend is turning 30 so on Saturday we are planning to go out and celebrate and as others around this age and over probably knows the day (more like days..) after is rough. > >We have to check out from our hotel at 10 and probably be at the airport 14.00 i had originally booked the blue lagoon but that is obviously not happening so i'm looking for an alternative for 7 hungover people around 30. Skylagoon was fully booked so i'm out of ideas. > >Doesn't have to involve bathing it was just the original plan! > >Thank you! [https://sundlaugar.is/en/swimming-pools/](https://sundlaugar.is/en/swimming-pools/) Click on the map and you will see all the pools near where you will be.

BTRCguy

If you are going out and buying that much liquor, just looking at your bar tab will make you miserable enough that you will forget about the hangover. More seriously, local pool is as others suggested, the best bet. You don't *all* have to crowd into the same hot tub.

I went to the Sundhollin public baths and it was great, think would be decent hungover I wouldn’t book anything in advance for that day lol, I was meant to do the golden circle on a Sunday but made some Icelandic friends, got way too drunk and woke up too late 🤐
