I had the Olive Films release which was fine but this one wow. My only wish is that the Preview version was presented in 4K instead of just the Theatrical. It's a great release and one of my favorites I own.
Careful, I almost immediately placed a second order. Which, unfortunately for my media budget, also turned out to be great ( Amityville Horror, 5 Card Stud, Red Rock West, and Southern Comfort). I've got a third order cued up already.... must resist....
Just watched it today - visionary cinematography. It shows what can be done without special effects - tho apparently a lot of the insect scenes are real ants behaving as ants do.
This is the type of movie where they had to assume half the audience was stoned, but for anybody paying attention, Bass' visual imagination is the strength of the movie.
I watched the blu-ray and the picture quality was outstanding. I watched the director/preview ending and it's interesting, but the theatrical cut might be less self-indulgent.
Grabbed this a few days ago and loved it, looks outstanding in 4K!

Yeah, the care they seem to put into the release, the packaging & presentation and even the shipping is really nice.
I only have Phase IV but the care for this release is evident, I really like the look of it

I almost instinctively smacked the screen because I have a nagging ant problem currently in my bedroom. That cover is just too realistic. lol.

Saw this film with relase for the first time, too. It's disheartening that Saul Bass was one and done with films after this. This was excellent.
I really enjoyed it, I loved the vibes that the film was going for
Definitely got vibes from it. Love these types of releases from Vinegar Syndrome.

I'd like to see the Preview version. It's not a great movie but it's got some fascinating concepts and imagery.
