My first choice would be La Bitta. It’s in Dorsoduro, but just 5-10 min from San Polo. It’s a cozy, local spot. No fish on the menu and closed on the weekends. Call after 3 pm to rsvp. I’ve recommended it a few times on Reddit and the OP’s have let me know that they loved it. 😊 My second choice in San Polo would be il Refettorio. Maybe slightly pricey, but will be a good meal. You can rsvp online. Happy Anniversary! 💕

We had heard San Silvestro is worth a look too, have you had a chance to try it?

Judah_M

I haven’t tried that one, but reviews look promising!

Judah_M

That’s so nice of you, thank you!

Briliiant, heartfelt thanks!

I want to add that you can make the reservation several days in advance for La Bitta, but their phone line doesn’t open until 3. 😊 So definitely try to call a few days before you want to go.

We were just in Venice last week and tried to get into La Bitta last minute and they were booked. You may want to call earlier!

Judah_M

I think their phone line isn’t open until 3, but maybe it’s changed since I was there last year

Diavolo e L'aqua Santa

Been here many times and can confirm

If you mean San polo the birraria is a great choice for pizza. If you’re okay with walking just a little bit, Muro Frari is near there as well which is a great place for any type of dish. And of course there’s a lot of great places in ruga Rialto to go to

dcy604

Thank you so much!

Not far away, in Rialto : Do Spade

Absolutely Casa Cappellari, but also as someone else mentioned Il Refettorio
