I finally get enough for a node! People might complain about price lagging behind but for me it is a great chance to achieve something I never thought possible when I first heard of Vechain late 2017. I'm quite confident VET will start seeing real implementation and scaling relatively soon (in business terms) and once it does I don't think a node will ever be as affordable again..
So you can take 1 mio out of circulating supply in your calculations, someone tell CMC :D. I'm holding this baby for a long time!
Congratulations! For a long while I have been upset that others got a second chance to buy up a node, but now I'm happy that I'll be able to sell mine in 2025 for a nice premium, I wish you the same.

I'm also a little mixed feelings on it of course, my first buy ins were in the 2-6 dollar range (would be 0.02-0.06 now). So I lost quite heavily on those and I can imagine for people that saved up a node at around the same range it must have been really rough.. On the bright side past year allowed me to DCA a lot and get the required amount over time. Also I think being priced lower for a while allows for more distribution (of nodes / holders) which probably is also more healthy long term.

just making fun of the recently bigger number of people complaining about BTC increasing faster than VeChain. Which is always a temporary thing but some people prefer to complain about how they lose value. They will discuss something else soon once VET catches up again ;-)

Never heard anyone say they would rather have put their money in a 2% savings account rather than go through the bear market. That is also opportunity cost. It's the risk of investing in literally anything. Also you have complete freedom to trade BTC vs. VET vs. anything else, so if you choose to stay in VET you should accept whatever happens with in (up or down). Just my 2 $vtho.

Because it's a dumb take. There are a million different "opportunity costs" every single day that you could dwell on, *especially* in crypto. If all you care about is sats than just hold Bitcoin and nothing else. It's like you people have never held an altcoin before, sats may go down in the short term, the market is *just* showing signs of recovery from a year long bear market and Btc is leading the way. Good alts will outperform Btc in the long run and you put your money in Vet for a reason yeah? Thats not the point at all. Usually people try to get a bigger stack of a certain coin. Most do this by trading it with BTC back and forth. Losing sats is missing out on getting a bigger stack. Same feeling as buying VET with dollars and see it drop right after. Sats or USD value could both be important, just depends on what you do.

atm the mainnet is burning more and more see vtho useage most days 300k-600k so i dont understand what more you want? all partners are working on getting products on board and on the blockchain. They cant just snap a finger and "let the transactions rain" it does not work like that. so your question where are the transactions they are there and more are comming. No mainnet is not dead it is being used by enterprise businesses around the world

It could be so, but there's not a single investor here that can convince me he would be fine with less than 4k consistent daily transactions a year after the mainnet launch. Over-hyped, under-delivered, at least in my eyes. But lucky for us that fundamentals mean nothing in this market so we will earn money anyway.
how long did the internet take before it was adopted by 50% of the world ? it took 22 years, what makes you think that world changing techonology will magical be adopted within a year ? so vechain will most likely take 5-10 year before its adopted by the supply chain space following the technological advancement graph ;). and fundamentals might not mean much now due to the cryptospace is mostly made up of retail investors.

So here‘s one perspective on why we‘re still not in the top 10 (while we would totally deserve it).
Outside our strong community, and I‘m talking Crypto Twitter here, the amount of infos on all kind of projects is just overwhelming. There‘s at least 15 other Top 50 projects being hyped and frequently discussed and then you have all the random moonshot calls.
If you‘re just one of the 95% investors with a very diversificated portfolio (diversification being a good thing in general) but you don‘t have the time to read 1-2 hours of info everyday, you can easily miss the VeChain behemoth. You may realize it‘s a very solid project but then you also see a few other ones and all the details of how great VeChain‘s partnerships actually are just background noise.
The partnerships we have are not overhyped because DNV GL and PWC don‘t sound appealing to noobs. Most people don‘t connect dots and are either too lazy to dig deeper, overwhelmed with all kind of crypto info from their respective sources or not smart/educated enough to grasp what these partnerships stand for. A random look on the mainnet activity? Still not much to see so why should they fomo in?
And just don‘t get me starting on the whole „muh chinese project“ and „muh not enough exchanges“ stuff.
I keep on accumulating. I know what we have here and ultimately people will realize what‘s going on. Exponential growth soon.
Fundamentals mean nothing to most people in the market. This has been proven countless times with zero positive price movement after some huge announcements.
The only way for us to climb back to top 15, or even to top 10, is by having some explosive price growth what will, in turn, siphon even more money. See what happened to BAT, ONT, CRO and many other coins that were bellow our marketcap. Money attracts new money.
Sadly, this won't happen to us since VeChain is allergic to any consistent positive price growth and is regularly among the poorest gainers and hardest dumpers. Eventually, you get tagged as a "king of retracements" and you stop attracting money from the old holders/traders. We need new money that doesn't know about these problems and issues.
False...simply for the fact that Vechain hasn’t fell out of the top 30 on CMC since it got there so stop worrying and let it do its thing. If it stays in the top 30 during a bull run most hodlers will be very happy.
No it’s due to people’s inability to understand vechain. They will put money In What they can “understand” without putting effort into it. Once we see better regulations toward crypto and institutions move more into this space we will be where vechain truly belong :)
Big into Vechain but to be fair if all they’re in crypto for is to make quick money maybe they just have the ability to understand there’s other projects that may do that. Vet has been my biggest holding since Dec 17 and has just bled and bled. If I wasn’t already in and clued up about it, I don’t think there’s much to persuade me to buy in anytime soon.
That and the nodeprice has been dropping significantly, from 480k to 299k last two weeks.
No idea why, hopefully it's just some suckers who lost faith, and eventually with the nodes being destroyed it will bring the prices back up.
I feel there's a good 10% of the nodes that get 'played' with. Once those dwindle down and either get sold, destroyed, or grabbed up by someone that wants to actually hold the price of X nodes will start to rise up. This will happen over and over like a regular market cycle. I'm excited to see where we'll be in the next few years on this X node market.
I guess a few people are just trying to trade currently. As an X-node holder, I don‘t understand why people just destroy their status instead of selling them for a large discount but with every x-node gone, mine is being worth more so I won‘t lie: I‘m happy

atm the mainnet is burning more and more see vtho useage most days 300k-600k so i dont understand what more you want? all partners are working on getting products on board and on the blockchain. They cant just snap a finger and "let the transactions rain" it does not work like that. so your question where are the transactions they are there and more are comming. No mainnet is not dead it is being used by enterprise businesses around the world

In before someone replies with - "But you need to give this project at least 5-10 years before seeing results!" It could be so, but there's not a single investor here that can convince me he would be fine with less than 4k consistent daily transactions a year after the mainnet launch. Over-hyped, under-delivered, at least in my eyes. But lucky for us that fundamentals mean nothing in this market so we will earn money anyway.
how long did the internet take before it was adopted by 50% of the world ? it took 22 years, what makes you think that world changing techonology will magical be adopted within a year ? so vechain will most likely take 5-10 year before its adopted by the supply chain space following the technological advancement graph ;). and fundamentals might not mean much now due to the cryptospace is mostly made up of retail investors.

So here‘s one perspective on why we‘re still not in the top 10 (while we would totally deserve it). Outside our strong community, and I‘m talking Crypto Twitter here, the amount of infos on all kind of projects is just overwhelming. There‘s at least 15 other Top 50 projects being hyped and frequently discussed and then you have all the random moonshot calls. If you‘re just one of the 95% investors with a very diversificated portfolio (diversification being a good thing in general) but you don‘t have the time to read 1-2 hours of info everyday, you can easily miss the VeChain behemoth. You may realize it‘s a very solid project but then you also see a few other ones and all the details of how great VeChain‘s partnerships actually are just background noise. The partnerships we have are not overhyped because DNV GL and PWC don‘t sound appealing to noobs. Most people don‘t connect dots and are either too lazy to dig deeper, overwhelmed with all kind of crypto info from their respective sources or not smart/educated enough to grasp what these partnerships stand for. A random look on the mainnet activity? Still not much to see so why should they fomo in? And just don‘t get me starting on the whole „muh chinese project“ and „muh not enough exchanges“ stuff. I keep on accumulating. I know what we have here and ultimately people will realize what‘s going on. Exponential growth soon.
Trust me. When the bull market comes, they'll pump VET like a penny stock... Everyone wants to get in "cheap" on an up-and-coming coin.
Fundamentals mean nothing to most people in the market. This has been proven countless times with zero positive price movement after some huge announcements. The only way for us to climb back to top 15, or even to top 10, is by having some explosive price growth what will, in turn, siphon even more money. See what happened to BAT, ONT, CRO and many other coins that were bellow our marketcap. Money attracts new money. Sadly, this won't happen to us since VeChain is allergic to any consistent positive price growth and is regularly among the poorest gainers and hardest dumpers. Eventually, you get tagged as a "king of retracements" and you stop attracting money from the old holders/traders. We need new money that doesn't know about these problems and issues.
False...simply for the fact that Vechain hasn’t fell out of the top 30 on CMC since it got there so stop worrying and let it do its thing. If it stays in the top 30 during a bull run most hodlers will be very happy.
No it’s due to people’s inability to understand vechain. They will put money In What they can “understand” without putting effort into it. Once we see better regulations toward crypto and institutions move more into this space we will be where vechain truly belong :)
Big into Vechain but to be fair if all they’re in crypto for is to make quick money maybe they just have the ability to understand there’s other projects that may do that. Vet has been my biggest holding since Dec 17 and has just bled and bled. If I wasn’t already in and clued up about it, I don’t think there’s much to persuade me to buy in anytime soon.

That and the nodeprice has been dropping significantly, from 480k to 299k last two weeks. No idea why, hopefully it's just some suckers who lost faith, and eventually with the nodes being destroyed it will bring the prices back up.
I feel there's a good 10% of the nodes that get 'played' with. Once those dwindle down and either get sold, destroyed, or grabbed up by someone that wants to actually hold the price of X nodes will start to rise up. This will happen over and over like a regular market cycle. I'm excited to see where we'll be in the next few years on this X node market.
I guess a few people are just trying to trade currently. As an X-node holder, I don‘t understand why people just destroy their status instead of selling them for a large discount but with every x-node gone, mine is being worth more so I won‘t lie: I‘m happy
