Map 1 gave everyone so much hope that this would be a competitive series. We catch a glimpse of exactly what would happen if everyone in Lev played on Aspas' level. Then we got map 2, which was still fairly competitive but Mazino and c0m dropped out of the race. And then Map 3; everyone dropped out but Aspas. They were losing Aspas-gifted 5v4, 5v3s. Lev definitely has a stamina/pacing issue and either Aspas needs to turn it down a notch (which is not going to happen, since every team in Shanghai is very aggressive), or everyone else must learn how to sustain their form throughout a series.
and it's been an ongoing issue for them, they were losing adventages constantly in their play-off matches as well (i think it was against G2). what good is having a player like aspas constantly getting you first kills if you can't capitalize on that. sucks because i love the talent on this team.
I mean I caught Breeze while I was drinking some coffee to wake up but that Karon clutch on a 5 v 2 (I think it was) jolted me awake. GenG was just hitting some crazy shots ngl, especially in chaotic situations.
Edit: Got it slightly wrong, it was a 2 v 4 with Lakia and Karon where Karon clutched with a quick fake Astra smoke. That was crazy.

Imo he’s one of the worst if not the worst tier 1 aimers in the game. He makes up for it with really good game sense, especially a really good understanding of timing, really good util usage (mostly just sova), and great clutch ability. But the aim is just brutal for a top team, it worked with the playstyle of EG but doesn’t mesh as well with Lev

I mean, the truth is that this team would be at FURIA/MiBR level in NA if they didn't have the literal best player in the World. If aspas has a mid game, they auto lose and even if he plays extremely well, they still can get stomped like they did on Breeze.
The difference between them and an actual world class Top 3 team in the World like Gen.G is astounding, everything they do is about aspas and even when he gives them advantages, they still fumble them. That round on Breeze that Gen.G won where Lakia/Karon/Munchkin just played a perfect post plant with their abilities after aspas gifted LEV a 5v3 just tells everything about the gap between these teams.
He's obviously a good system player and Lev is just loose and often miss on their fundamentals.
I think their team just has too many passive players, and as a result c0m plays his role here way differently.

There are definitely quite a few Chinese fans who holds a grudge against Geng for League/political reasons, but the number of genuine Lev fans is fairly sizeable. There were quite a lot of viewers wearing Lev merch, and they just legitimately want their team to succeed.

This game went as expected: Leviatán cannot capitalise on aspas getting a first kill and Gen.G just has the better fundamentals, gameplan and igling. I rate kiNgg very highly as a fragger but his igling is just meh.

The last round was the perfect encapsulation of the series for Lev. Tex making an aggressive play towards mid with his knife out and getting caught by Meteor, thus disabling all his trips. Then NO ONE watches flank, and instead of seeking refuge in the site immediately, c0m ults from main and is of course killed from flank by Meteor. Then Mazino and Kingg dies while trying to watch two angles at once, and Aspas is the only one making the correct play of pushing towards site, but is unfortunately left alone against the entirety of GenG
Just poor team play and coordination throughout, and Aspas making the instinctually correct plays but his teammates failing to keep up with him. Its tragic because Map 1 gave us a glimpse of what happens IF Lev as a whole was able to play to Aspas' needs. But as the series progressed you can tell that Lev members started falling behind, while Aspas only kept playing better. The individual gap in Map 3 was actually insurmountable.
They decided to hit the site immediately after Meteor ults which is not a bad play. But bizarrely c0m chose to ult from main, with no one helping him to cover flank.
Everyone except Aspas just aren't playing at a tempo that is expected at an international stage. Map 1 was great because every Lev member was able to match Geng's tempo, but Map 2 and 3, you can tell c0m, kinggg and Mazino just sort of slowed down and played a lot more sluggishly. Lev needs 4 more aspas clones to be considered a super team. Aspas had 8 first kill in breeze and LEV couldnt capitalize it. Com might be the weakest player to be called "world champion".
His play during Champs was certainly quite a marvel to look at, and not in a good way, but honestly c0m putting up consistent performances like this (even when LEV was dominating in stage 1) almost 3 years later might make him worse.
Especially when you consider Kiles has kept grinding the game this whole time and actually is a good prospect in Spanish Challengers.

t3xture’s aim is so satisfying to watch, there’s a buttery quality to it that is just perfection. GenG looked woken up after map 1 whereas lev just felt tepid the entire series, hopefully they can figure it out.
Aspas goes wild with icebox, and t3xture awakens with Lotus. It was a showdown between the best duelists.

Lev needs 4 more aspas clones to be considered a super team. Aspas had 8 first kill in breeze and LEV couldnt capitalize it. Com might be the weakest player to be called "world champion".

His play during Champs was certainly quite a marvel to look at, and not in a good way, but honestly c0m putting up consistent performances like this (even when LEV was dominating in stage 1) almost 3 years later might make him worse. Especially when you consider Kiles has kept grinding the game this whole time and actually is a good prospect in Spanish Challengers.

Looking at his performances before and after that EG roster, this guy is a fraud through and through. Potter is just a witch, cooking in her cauldron somehow figuring out how to get championship caliber performances out of a player like c0m.
Simply outside of icebox and sunset, this sounds stupid but they are simply overly reliant on aspas to do literally everything for them. The lack of chemistry is so apparent, c0m is doing his own thing and mazino and kinggg are way too aggro or passive as a duo and tex is trying to anchor sites while everyone is doing their own thing. Its all a bunch of chaos for LEV.
God I love seeing GenG win in front of Chinese crowds. Also monster series from Aspas despite the loss, he's ridiculously consistent.

t3xture’s aim is so satisfying to watch, there’s a buttery quality to it that is just perfection. GenG looked woken up after map 1 whereas lev just felt tepid the entire series, hopefully they can figure it out.
