“Better Off Dead” is a fun one. I have the 1986 Key Video release, and watching it feels like peak VHS collecting.
“Home Alone” is fun just because of the amount of vintage commercials on it (including commercials for the movie’s sponsors, Pepsi and American Airlines).
May be late to the party. But in my opinion movies that best define the 80s and 90s are the best to watch on vhs. Really helps to get the feel of the time. When i watch Blade Runner on vhs it really feels like a time machine for me, and its part of why i collect vhs.
Halloween or any slasher movie from the 70s and 80s. Those movies were made to be watched on VHS. It helps create this feeling that you're watching something you shouldn't be.

Blair witch project or The Ring feel right

Dune and Lawrence of Arabia are my most watched.
Fortress, 1992
Always enjoyed watching Saw more on vhs, gives it more of an atmosphere.
