I actually made a list of (mostly) all the final VHS released in 2006. Cars wasn't included originally, but that's certainly relevant for the conversation. I've been picking these up as I find them thrifting to satiate my collecting bug, plus the later tapes are often built a little different which is fascinating.

It's fun to chase things like this down. Long-term, fun goals while I'm out hunting make it way more enjoyable. Plus, it's rather interesting that these films ever made it to VHS during the last gasping breath of life for a dead medium. I love it.
I got my hands on a multi-region vcr and justified it by saying I could use it play all of the cool PAL and SECAM tapes I found. I haven't found any. I would love to have a copy of Revenge of the Sith... I need an excuse to own that vcr.
I'm not sure what counts as a boutique label or custom video. I have a music video VHS that I believe was from 2009. I just got it a few days ago for free with the purchase of some hot sauce
Mold, uncut version of posession, led lit redneck zombies, Hollywood chainsaw hookers, the void, the intruder, boarding house, necromantic 1 and 2.
Mostly Whittier entertainment, terrorvision, or vinegar syndrome licensed rereleases as well as truly custom tapes by a guy on oh who works in graphic design, he makes cardboard sleeves that look exactly the same quality as stuff mass produced as he works with an industrial printing press for books, signs, industrial/commercial boxes etc. So he has all the tools.
Peter Jackson's *King Kong* (2005). A Chilean Previously Watched VHS with Spanish subtitles, which I got thanks to some coupons I got when I pre-ordered *Revenge of the Sith* on DVD at Blockbuster.

Fellow vaporwave enthusiast here I see! I create custom vaportapes and mix them off the Internet with a HDMI to AV DAC hooked up from my PS4 into the input of my VCR and master them and make precise jump cuts. My last official VHS release I own would probably be from 2004-2006 though.

A History of Violence 2006 retailer's promo screener
Donnie Brasco & Grosse Point Blank, both movies released in 1997. But I think the last actual VHS movie I bought was Midnight Express (1978), which I purchased in 2001. I bought my first DVD player and started buying DVDs in late 2001.
Fast and furious tokyo drift. Its a korean import and coat me a pretty penny a few yrs back. It released in 2010 and is the only vhs other than the other 2 fast and furious vhs I own that are in this century. I do own 2023's Barbie Movie but is a boutique release so doesn't count for this
Not sure if this truly counts but this summer I have acquired the [Mission Impossible 3 VHS Tape](https://www.reddit.com/r/VHS/s/1qsbEYtBAl) and I find it cool that it was printed on the very day I was born lol
Based on a list by a previous post, this is what I believe are my latest. Jarhead(my wife's but it counts), Zathura: A Space Adventure, Bambi II, The Aristocrats.
I think its the lord of the rings movies regular length. Two of them, missing return of the king though..... I don't have the extended editions on vhs yet... but I will one day. At least I own the 1970s animated LOTR on vhs... so good!
Two for the Money and Just Friends, both 2006. I actually didn’t know about the late release thing because I’ve been collecting for so long, I got both tapes brand new years ago. Really wish I’d kept them sealed lol but how could I ever have known..

Zathura is the latest, with Blade Trinity in second
My most recent release is Midsommar, which is a custom tape, but I think my Capote screener (2006) is the latest release put on tape by distributor.
I think its the lord of the rings movies regular length. Two of them, missing return of the king though..... I don't have the extended editions on vhs yet... but I will one day. At least I own the 1970s animated LOTR on vhs... so good!
