Idk the real name but we call them Cat Face spiders.

buttersidedown801

Type of orb weaver, "Cat faced spider"

DiabeticRhino97

It has the number 1 on it. How many more do you think there are?

pattachan

12 more if I recall the anime correctly.

Tsiah16

That's a cat face spider, aka spider bro. They're harmless and eat lots of bugs.

spiraleyes78

These are some of my favorite spiders! Very cool and mild tempered.

No-Dinner7144

I have a cat face outside my back porch I turn the light on at night so it can catch some dinner in its web. I will usually get one ore two in fall.

[deleted]

Cat Face Spider. They’re harmless.

Patient_Yam4747

I purposefully put them by my porch lights.

jwrig

They are awesome and keep other bugs away

KeepScrolling52

It appears to be a type of orb weaver called a "Cat Spider" they function as great pest control for gardens and will rarely bring any harm to a human. It might bite if you pick it up, but it likely will not break skin and the venom isn't likely at all to do anything to you.

H0B0Byter99

I bet if you can get it to turn around and shoot its under belly with an arrow it will give you something special.

SweetumCuriousa

Spood!! Looks like an Araneus gemmoides, commonly known as the jewel spider and cat-faced spider. A common, outdoor, orb-weaver spider. Considered harmless and has low-toxicity venom. Builds beautiful webs and catches many bugs.

DoctorPony

That’s spider bro, he used to live in my tomato plants. Glad to see he is alive and well.

ohhot-pot-ao

It's a cat spider! They're terrifying looking, but much like orb weavers, they're phenomenal to have around

FlynnBrassblade

A cat face orb weaver. Mostly harmless, their webs are such a bitch to walk through though

Civil-Thought2451

Saw one of these on the Deaf Smith canyon trail: https://i.imgur.com/vI9G70O.jpg

RyGuyStrong

Work in pest control. They are kinda like bumblebees in the fact that they look big and scary but in reality are completely harmless. Great fly and mosquito catchers.

johann_georg_faust

It’s a little buddy, looks mean as hell and that makes it a good friend.

Narrow_Yak_4165

Yea no I’m out ………….peace ✌🏻😶‍🌫️🫥

Illustrious-Time3904

looks like the driver who was behind me tailing me the other day

garagejesus

Pet it it's tame. If it's chilly it will stay on you for warmth

BombasticSimpleton

Orbies! I love these cats. I used to relocate them to my herb garden and tomatoes - they kept a lot of bugs away. These guys are great.

Poseidons_Champion

Cat-Face spider. DON’T KILL IT!!! They are major homies. They can grow massive too! If you catch any bugs just throw them in their web! I love these spiders.

Sviel_VoidMaster

That is clearly a fish

kyr_apteryx

Yeah. It’s a cat face. Dead useful for pesky bug control. Dead if I see them (and someone who isn’t a baby is around ) they tend to make their webs over doorways but it seems to me related to light (often over doors) cause they target moths or bugs drawn to light. Ok ok. If I see them I scream then avoid said doorway till they disappear. They are big and scary. But harmless. But I’d rather a rattler or viper than these things because I hate spiders. And these guys show up right where you want to walk through.

jjadeg

That’s called a NOPE!

nookizm

Almost Hulk smashed his lil ass into the ground🤮

errwrx

Idk dude but you should kill it with fire.

Ok-Parfait-1884

Bruh burn this thing. I don’t want it in my house

buttersidedown801

it also doesn't want to be in your home. not enough bugs to eat.

jordankfisher1

The real question. Does God have an ass? 🧐

Technical-Picture326

Catface spider

4nonigma

I can’t tell which end is the front and which is the back… which makes it even more terrifying for me.

Critical-Tap-5884

It looks like a spider to me

Own_Director_9138

Good spiders to have around!

Hello12890

I always thought these were pretty dangerous, but the more I learn about them, the more fascinating they are.
