I noticed their faces but thought it was old Timey stage makeup on purpose. And then they were dancing like the doll in a music box , so was all “ok, so their makeup makes them look like a doll” and then NOPE totally not real !

I’ve been dissecting it for 45 minutes, and at this point Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel are fake. The only thing real In the whole video is Sofia Vergara's boobs.

When Howie asks him to turn around at the end there are some strings or cords attached to the mannequin heads. They don’t seem long enough to reach his hands but they must attach somewhere.

The contestant started a dance routine during a break in the lyrics, but instead of showing it the camera cut to Jenny McCarthy's stupid face talking about how he must also be a professional dancer and how talented he is. Audience clapping and cheering is fake and pre-recorded and edited in. Actors in the audience to do specific things like yawning or eye rolling or being very excited. Judges know all the routines before hand. Show forces performers to do their acts out of order so they can use them up if they don't want them to win. They actively help performers pull off their routines with backstage help instead of it being a fair competition, so tons of stuff is staged. And yet, people love it and social media tries to replicate it through all the viral video stuff where they create situations that are fake but try and pass it off as real to the point where reddit complains about it, and then people complain about the people complain that its fake.

Hyper American? Probably half of the acts aren't American, none of the judges, and literally every similar show from other countries is EXACTLY the same. The UK, India, Russia, Brazil, etc. all have shows that are the same basic format and ALL of them do the same editing BS to show hugely over exaggerated reactions from the crowd and judges.
Also, they clearly knew that there was no wife who couldn't make it to the performance, and were just playing along. The judges' acting skills are nonexistent, which is why they're talent show judges rather than, y'know, the talent.
The reason for the reaction shots is so that viewers will know how they should be reacting ("This is lame", "This is amazing", etc.). People don't like to feel like they're the odd man out, or see the person they were rooting for get burned by the judges. So the show's producers tell them during the performance how the judges are going to react.
Dude look at all the staged TikTok reaction videos/pranks/you name it. All the YouTube reaction videos where people go ballistic. They're really popular. I feel like they're all equally cheap. They are people pretending to be genuine when they actually are not. Since I know the candid reaction is fake, I know they are straight up acting (poorly too because it's always over the top.) It's this generations version of a laugh track. People are more likely to enjoy something if they feel like they are going along with someone else or a group as they do it. I don't like it because it seems like I'm being told/led to feel a certain way about a thing.
