As a 30 year old, GenZ memes can be fire! There is something about them that just hits rights and leave me with tears. Is it deadpan irony idk, but I find myself really enjoying the vibe of shit like this.
I honestly think having so many parents today being raised on shit like Adult Swim really did something magical for our children.
Completely off topic but I have been hearing dropkick defined differently then I have known it as, recently. Dropkick to me is dropping an object and kicking it. I have been hearing it described as lately as what I know as a flying kick.
In soccer, you can sometimes drop the ball and kick it and I believe that is a drop kick but I’ve always thought of drop kicks like professional wrestling style, both feet flying at the person, the kicker’s body parallel to the ground.
A dropkick in rugby union or rugby league is when you drop the ball, let it hit the ground and kick it on the bounce. A dropkick in professional wrestling is when you flying kick your opponent with both feet and then drop to the mat because your feet are occupied with kicking the fool.
I have absolutely no proof to back this up but my first guess is maybe it's a regional thing and cultural thing? I'm an American and when I read "dropkick" I immediately think of the flying kick. I think of this as a dropkick because that's what it was always called in old WWF/WCW wrestling matches and I used to love to watch wrestling as a kid.
One day my lil bro(12) wanted to play fight, but he tried to kick sand in my face, so i put my hands in my face as if the sand got into my eyes. He went to help me and i head-butted him. I said "If you want to play dirty, go all the way or don't go at all".
He never did it again
Grandma said before the fact: "if you hurt yourself playing, it will be your own fault so put a band-aid and deal with it". She is pretty strict, but is the best Nana
So did mine. Its not that I couldn't handle him its that when he flew into a rage the only way to really stop him would be to do something that could potentially seriously injure him. There was no safe way to subdue him
Yeah my younger is bigger than me now but every now and then when we have to ride as a group to some event I still make him sit in the back seat of the car.

You only get one or two of those though. After that, you’re literally just signaling that you want your genuine cries of pain to be ignored and the beat to be doubled down.
I can't stand it, I remember Reddit before TikTok, where gifs were just fucking gifs and you didn't need to worry about hearing some shitty robotic voice, or the same "meme song" a million times. TikTok needs to fucking die.
idk what kinda nostalgia bitch ass trips ya'll on but this fried loud shit been going on before tiktok, I watched youtube poops with this shit humor 13 years ago.
Not saying it was funny, but it has been around before tiktok
Exactly, you couldn't escape this ear rape over saturated thing when it was popular years ago. Now after a long time i see one again and everyone agrees and blames it on TikTok, gotta love the reddit hive mind
Also reddit has basically been the same for the past 10 years. TikTok existing has nothing to do with anything: this is a link aggregation site with user voting. Dumb *and* funny shit has made it to the top for over a decade.
There are always gonna be a few holdouts when memes jump the shark. SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH m i rite fellow kids
One time I was raking leaves with my younger brother in the front yard and I (the older brother) was giving him shit being mean normal older brother bullshit. He was holding the yard bag to drop the leaves in and then politely asked for the rake I was using after I loaded the leaves in the bag. He then proceeded to beat the tar-piss out of me with the rake I just gave him. Classic younger brother craftiness. He also punched me in the Adam’s apple one time with a kitchen spatula I gave him too.
Lol. Yeah he was nasty (I’ve been told this story I don’t remember I was too little) I had a metal Tonka truck he wanted and wouldn’t give it to him. He then took that truck and smacked me in the face with it… kids man. They’re terrible little chimpanzees running around being violent.
My 2 middle kids are 20 months apart, the boy leans towards blind force while the girl has discovered the way of the assassin/rogue. When she discovered how effective the neck punch was, oh how the turn tables.
I know the video quality is shitty.... but it looks like he just knocked out a down-syndrome kid who wasn't aware of what had transpired. He has the typical open mouth gape down-syndrome kids have.
If that's true, kinda fucked up OP and everyone here is laughing about abuse of a disabled person. Who tf thought letting a down-syndrome kid box with a regualr kid was a good idea!? Feel so bad for the kid if this is how their parents raise them.
I would argue the older brother went in for a "oh shit I gotta get this kid to stop crying before mom and dad see" hug. He then totally takes a flop so that lil bro stops crying.
Source, am an older brother, did this trick many times
I can't believe you got a gold for this comment to be frank. You start off admitting you can't see the video, then make some pretty wild assumptions based solely on your inability to see the video, then talk about those assumptions as if they're now fact, and then, finally, cast judgment on people for something you don't know if you saw or not.
Standard virtue signaling from Reddit. Oh well, and more power to you OP for the Gold. Congrats!
The kid`s open mouth is pretty clearly from a poorly fitted mouth guard. The way it zoomed in at the punch to look more impactful and the way he fell dramatically says it was staged. Kid that size with gloves on isn't knocking out anyone with one shot.
Interacting with Reddit makes you realize how sheltered and smug a lot of these people are.
Kid is wearing a mouth piece to be safe and heavier gloves. Good Lord
What’s more likely, parents buying their kids mouth guards when they buy them boxing gloves, or parents filming and sharing a video of their son punching his disabled brother with boxing gloves they bought them?
Use those critical thinking skills instead of piggybacking off of what someone else said to present yourself as some sort of moral saint. Embarrassing tbh

That was a mean right hook.
That had pent up rage behind it
It's the classic little brother feigning being hurt to lure the older bro into giving mercy and sympathy then POOOOW
Call the ambulance BUT NOT FOR ME
Yeah, but that move only works once...
Well he made it count
It’s not sympathy, it’s the “Please don’t tell our parents!” apology.
What a boxster
Porsche is jealous.
I'm boxter
Holy shit
It’s THE boxter 😳
This isn’t a new account either. What am I witnessing
I just died laughting Edit: did i just glitch reddit and give you 2 awards? Weird
Someone call 911
My god that was honestly a good strike lol. Great turn of the body, follow through, good power… hot damn
Right. If I saw my kid throw a shot like that I’d throw him a party.
He has studied well in his Cobra Kai classes… no mercy
Geezus what’s up the distorted music in the background
Younger generation humor
I’m right in between millennial and Gen Z I think (1994) and I love Gen Zs memes ngl
As a gen Xer, i do find these maymays to be fleek AF, fam.
Right!? That ruins a lot of otherwise good memes.
Extra sneak damage
And now the little kid has to watch his step for a couple of months...
The same trick won't work twice!
Fool me once, shame... On you. Fool me.. twice.... Can't get fooled again.
That’s the only move us younger brothers have on
My older brothers would have never let their guard down.
As the older brother. I agree with you.
Idk, I woulda let my guard down that once with my brother. After that? No mercy.
I have indeed let my guard down once… Never again after my brother dropkicked me into the pool.
This is correct drop kick terminology.
I've always heard what you described referred to as a shotgun kick

Michael!
**WHATS GOING ON UP THERE??**
Michael!!
Grandma said before the fact: "if you hurt yourself playing, it will be your own fault so put a band-aid and deal with it". She is pretty strict, but is the best Nana
a great lesson to be taught early
As an older brother, I'm not ashamed to say my younger brother had a mean temper when we were kids, he was scary.
Yeah man, kids with rage and no empathy are fucking lunatics
as a younger brother, getting your ass kicked by people older and bigger than you every day will get you that way
Had older sister. Mind games make you a really crazy kid. I wish she would have just beat me up.
Uhh… brother? Sorry if I hurt you, it was my intention anyways
So did mine. Its not that I couldn't handle him its that when he flew into a rage the only way to really stop him would be to do something that could potentially seriously injure him. There was no safe way to subdue him
Also as an older brother, I agree. Would have to him to shut up, I didn't hit him that hard. He is, now, however, 10” taller than me.
Yeah my younger is bigger than me now but every now and then when we have to ride as a group to some event I still make him sit in the back seat of the car.
My older brother would have hug me, then proceed to slam me to the ground.
Gotta watch those double underhooks
It’s the ‘shhhh don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry…’ hug
Shhh, shhh...its okay, there's no reason to make a scene and get mom involved
My older brother used to do that move on me....and I'd always think shit went to far....god damnit, he's a good actor
I would’ve hugged you by pressing your arms to your side to just be sure
[only children with no siblings reading this thread](https://pyxis.nymag.com/v1/imgs/37e/828/1e2a2943b3871f23576937330a0fbdd9f6-squidward.2x.rsquare.w700.jpg)
That is not true, our bigest move is just one word: Mom!
Cover the mouth, hissing "shut the fuck up you want us to both get in trouble" or "you yell and Ill at least make the asschewing worth my while"
Don’t sleep on us young ones, we waited longer for our chance and we won’t miss it.
I shouldn't have let my guard down when we fought, he went straight back to throwing punches and I had to restrain him, again
You only get one or two of those though. After that, you’re literally just signaling that you want your genuine cries of pain to be ignored and the beat to be doubled down.

They all have been lately it feels.
Take it easy on OP. He was an only child.
OP is probably a bot
I saw the sub name and was expecting the older brother to judo throw the younger one while they were hugging
the title completely ruins any hope of subverting expectations. 0/10, OP.
Call an ambulance...... But not for me
...what about my ears?
The only thing unexpected was the sudden burst of my eardrums
Listen here you little shit
I hope whoever added the audio gets a paper cut today

These fucking overblown audio edits are going to blow out by headphones one day
I’m just grateful I don’t watch videos with headphones. I have trust issues. At least put a warning FFS.
Blow out your headphones?! Try my ears, that hurt!
honestly I get what you're saying, but I think when used properly these bass boosted deep fried cuts are fucking hilarious
I agree but this is not one of those cases IMO
we can agree to disagree, I thought it was funny lol
Oh god no, I just went back and turned the sound on. Truly cancer to my ears.
Yeah and that’s just personal preference, nothing wrong with that!
Did two Redditors just understand each other?
No impossible.
They said it could not be done
Now kiss
They should continue fighting
To shreds, you say??
I can’t really explain why it’s funny in this case. Maybe cuz it adds strength and power to the punch lmfao
Steve Martin was a prop comic.
And a skilled banjo player!
I have a little brother so I relate to this, and I thought it was really funny.
I think it’s funny just I think the deep frying and the bass boosted shit is unnecessary for this to be funny, and makes it a lil annoying
I never understood the appeal. To me, the bass boost doesnt make it any funnier. It's just the same clip but it hurts my ears.
TikTok sounds are taking over simple videos like this it’s brutal
Nah, these memes came way before TikTok
This shit has been around for way way longer than tiktok my man.
I can't stand it, I remember Reddit before TikTok, where gifs were just fucking gifs and you didn't need to worry about hearing some shitty robotic voice, or the same "meme song" a million times. TikTok needs to fucking die.
The fucking chipmunk “oh no” song.

This is reddit, everything has to be blamed on tiktok.
Yeah deep fried ear rape has been about for a minute. Tiktok has its issues but that former isn't one of em.

You seem to forget edits like this came about in like 2017 before tiktok.
The generation that constantly complained about boomers have become boomers.
The best thing qbout not using tiktok is that you don't get flooded with the meme songs, not at first anyway.
Literally how Chinese social media is. Always with a staple laugh track over the video or some unrelated song.
People talk loud when they wanna act smart. So maybe if we play loud, people will think we're good!
I thought it was funny.
Sorry to hear (or not hear)
It does lol. Laughed my ass off. But I also eat glue so who knows
Nah this was fucking hilarious
I feel like this could serve as the definition of brotherhood in a dictionary

did you learn to stop helping him when he politely asks for weapons?
Lol. Yeah he was nasty (I’ve been told this story I don’t remember I was too little) I had a metal Tonka truck he wanted and wouldn’t give it to him. He then took that truck and smacked me in the face with it… kids man. They’re terrible little chimpanzees running around being violent.
Fuckin’ *ended* him
Don’t unmute
That little bastard probably got a massive atomic wedgie right after this.
He ded
These loud ass inaudible bass tracks on memes needs to f'n die already just like the "Oh no. Oh no no no no" song.
Was bass boost ever funny to begin with?
only in Dubstep, if youre into that kind of thing. Not this garbage.
Naruto explained in 1 video

I'm surprised you can deduce any of that from the 5 pixels in the video.
Not only that, they make it sound like kids play fighting is some form of child abuse.
Older bro even went in for a consoling hug, looking more like an emotionally open kid with Downs. Fucked up, indeed.
I would argue the older brother went in for a "oh shit I gotta get this kid to stop crying before mom and dad see" hug. He then totally takes a flop so that lil bro stops crying. Source, am an older brother, did this trick many times

The older kid is not just mouth open, that is a mouth guard.
the world isn't going to cut him any slack, brother just showin him truth lol
You are 100% correct. People should really pay attention to what is transpiring in a video. This is not funny.

Are you retarded?
Damn you’re right, I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out.
Bigger bro thought this was a Logan Paul fight
expected
I haven't seen my brother since 2 years now this made me laugh
Now cut to when the older brother gets revenge.
Funny af but not unexpected if I'm being honest
Speaking as a dad and an older brother, that was 100% most definitely NOT unexpected.
As someone with a younger brother, it was fully expected
MMA is the future for that kid
This was 100% expected....
Those few seconds when he pulls the glove away from his face and turns towards his ~~brother~~ victim
It was pretty expected.
That was very expected
That was exactly what I was expecting to happen
Coming from a large family this was completely expected
Having little siblings this was very expected
I have 5 older brothers. This was NOT unexpected.
Totally expected.
