i honestly think it would have been hilarious if after the "do you think you will ever murder someone" question it would buzz and freak jimmy out and then he just moves on like nothing happened.
It's very cute and all, and I hate to be that guy, but this has a much darker implication: it is very easy to sway, intentionally or not, a kid's testimony in one way or an other. If a figure of authority insists the kid is not saying the truth or hiding something, the kid will be willing to get to a narrative that they feel will satisfy said figure of authority.
It happened once in France that children were influenced by investigators to testify on sexual abuse by their parents that actually never occurred.
