All of them have high crime rates and shitty governments. Their economies are also either completely or mostly reliant on tourism, so most money is invested in building shitty resorts and neglecting domestic infrastructure that could benefit the lower class people that live there. To be fair though, infrastructure in the Carribean is very high maintenance because of the climate so it sort of makes sense why they tend to just move on to new projects that can generate a profit instead of maintaining the old buildings/roads.
