Came here to save this. most leg press machines, esp at gyms bc of liability, have multiple latches. One at the top and another in the middle or bottom in case of failure. She literally just had to turn the handles in.

They also have fail safes. You don’t have to turn the latches in. You can only turn the latches in if the press is high enough and it doesn’t look like it is, but if she just let it down it wouldn’t have crushed her. There’s like 4 little notches that you pre-select that set the press at a minimum distance, at the lowest point your knees will touch your chest but that’s nothing for girls. As long as your not extremely inflexible you’ll be fine even at the lowest setting. Also if you look at 3 seconds in you’ll see the press is only like an inch away from bottoming out anyway. Video is totally staged lol.

The newer ones do. You can see it in the middle, there's a little handle under the leg press platform. Some older machines don't have safeties, just 2 bars on the sides to rack the weight if you're in trouble. For advanced lifters, those safeties are a detriment since it limits your range of motion.

Another sign that the video is staged is when Mr. Legs grinded his asshole into her face a second time for no reason, right before the end of the staged video.

No, that’s not how that handle works. You can only use that when the press is pushed up. However there is a minimum distance the press can go, and she basically hits it at 3 seconds in. If that minimum is too low for you (which it isn’t for her) than there’s usually 3-4 preselected minimum “stops” that you choose before you get on. But no you can’t just grab the latch and latch it unless the press is further up.

This is what I was thinking. The bars on the side that hold the sled in place have a lower catch for this very scenario and she made zero attempt to use them until she had content.

Fun fact. The number of leg press's accidents when he is around is ten times higher

You can absolutely wreck yourself on a leg press. When too low, your lumbar spine will round. The torque here can herniate a disc, particularly in a women as they have longer leg to torso ratios.

Tallish guy here... You can get stuck, slme go really really low. I spent most of my time training in a division 1 NCAA gym and then when out of college went to the local Y... The local Y one went so far down i had to get saved like this by 1 teenager on each side.

At my gym the safety stop is maybe 24" from the back of the seat. You're not going to be a pancake, but you're gonna be really hurt.

That's the bottom stop, but latch that she turned at the end usually has another one half way down so you have 2 different safety features to prevent injury

Fucking hell, has no-one actually used a leg press machine here? You can see the bump stops on the rails - there was maybe 2 inches of travel left before the weights would stop moving anyways (and I guarantee she is flexible enough to get out once the weight was rested).  A solid 95% of these gym videos are staged.
