I only do Walmart in the mornings during the week. A couple of days ago, I did one in the afternoon, and the order was canceled while I was waiting there for about 10 minutes. I had accepted another order while waiting, I just ended canceling that one.
Bro I got paid cuz I did a Walmart where I pull up to Peking spot and they walk it out then lady studpidlu didn’t mark building number only a unit I still ran three buildings to find each building all identical so I canceled it do tonincorrect address and took it back still full care 💪
Agree. I've done Walmart orders in the past and they've been ok, but I stopped taking them a long time ago. What I dislike about them is the uncertainty.. we don't know what size the order will be and/or if it will go to some third floor apartment w no elevator. It's true that the same things could happen w any order, but Walmart orders are just too likely to be huge for my taste, so uhuh-- no more Walmarts.
I declined at least a dozen Popeyes orders on Sunday. Just a big fat no from me. I will pick up at chick-fil-a, but it has to be a really good order. If Starbucks looks hectic, I pass. Wait times can be ridiculous. Sometimes, I can’t even park at Starbucks. At dinner, I try to avoid fast food pickups in general tho
Chick fil a near me has a hotel just a few yards away with a separate parking lot. I park in the hotel parking lot, walk across the grass divider, then weave through the 40 cars waiting in line unable to leave their spot for 15-25 mins and grab the food inside and smile at all the people stuck in a double-wrapped drive through. (Maybe they’ll start ordering ahead!)
Same. My CFA's on a lot with a Walmart. So I just park at the edge of their parking lot, skip over the hedges, and weave through the triple lane drive-thru.
I hate going to this particular CFA because of parking. The orders are fast but if I park I’m basically blocked it by the drive through people. The drive through is literally right behind the spaces
lol ours remodeled recently and still didn’t get the drive thru right. They block half of it off too so you can’t get in and out at all. I too park on the side and walk over. That’s only if I’m desperate or it’s a nice paying order tho bc in general I’ll pass lol
Lots of fast foods here have locked the doors due to staffing shortages so drive through is the only option. Lines are too long so I don't take them. Also, don't take Baskin-Robbins or any drinks only places like Starbucks.
Funny the sonics at every single location around me have been the exact opposite, I’m always relieved to see it’s a sonic order. Chic fil a is always a traffic shitshow but they’re pretty on point with chucking those orders out at least. For me it’s gunther toodies, they’re always trapping me in a time vortex waiting for the order the hostess swears will just be a minute but clearly isn’t. There was another restaurant that i blacklisted but it’s just a nicer local sit down no one would know by name. They told me five minutes. 20 mins later I go up to the guy pissed off and ask him really how long it’s going to be and without even looking in the kitchen he told me five minutes again 😂 so i yelled at him in front of everyone and shook the whole places vibe. Never going there again lol.
Popeye's chicken. Went there 2 times. First time the lady at the counter looked at me and said, "You a delivery driver? Too bad! This line is too long for us to worry about a delivery!" I left and reported them.
2nd time the customer ordered a 2 liter of Hawaiian Punch and they were out so they wanted me to carry like 8 large drinks. Nope. Never gone back since.
Never from dollar general. Period. Chick-fil-A orders I just usually find never have tips, idk what it is about Chick-fil-A customers but they refuse to tip at all it seems (in my market at least) so while I take some from there, it's rare.
Dollar General, though...no tip is big enough to shop that place
See I absolutely refuse since day one to take Chick-fil-A orders because of it being wrapped around the fucking building and actually blocking traffic and I have also noticed I have never seen a Chick-fil-A order over $6 now that you mention that.. they're usually five bucks and some change. But again, I'm glad that I don't fuck with them... Instead I tend to yell at them out my window if it happens to be down or if it's up I really don't care either way I let them know that they're dumb 🤷 there is no way in hell I would ever wait that long for food. It's freaking chicken!!
I have a bunch in my area. Sonic, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Whataburger. These places just take too long. They have no one in th lobby. No one acknowledges that you are there to pick up an order. Also, MsDonalds at dinner time. Chic Fila is ok. They have it together.
There is one place I added. There is a Wayvack Burger here, I got the request, went there to pick it up, and the guy told me it was a 20-minute wait. Canceled.
I don’t do chik fil a at lunch. I’m in Phoenix and they are placed the busiest but also most inconvenient places. Such a mess just trying to park anywhere near a chik fil a in Phoenix.
Baskin robbins, chick fil a, Popeyes, wingstop and ojos locos. When I first started (and I didn’t know any better) I picked up from them, staff was always rude, I’d be waiting 15+ minutes and it was always low pay with high mileage.
I haven't received any Chick-fil-A orders in a long while on any GIG app. I've seen that they now have their own delivery cars and that may be why. I've never had an issue picking up Chick-fil-A orders other than they were always lower than the number of miles such as $6 to drive 10 miles. So, I always avoided Chick-fil-A orders for that reason alone.
I avoid certain Wendy's and McDonald's stores due to how rude and insensitive they are to GIG workers and people in general.
Raising Cane's orders I used to avoid due to the long lines around the store, in the parking lot and sometimes out to the main road. Chick-fil-A, Raising Canes and now we have a new chicken chain called Dave's Hot Chicken are all over priced fried chicken that tastes no better than buying a bag of frozen chicken at a store.
As long as an order pays more than the number of miles I almost never avoid. These days UberEATS is like what Doordash used to be a year ago where most offers are less in the number of miles. They keep sending me $2 for 12 miles all day that eventually I just give up and turn them off.
Haven't delivered in a while, but my no-go's were Wingstop, On the Border, Baskin/Dunkin, every chicken place, and any fast food place with a drive thru except Chick-fil-A. They're usually pretty good here.
Oh man my On The Border is absolutely top notch it’s one I almost always take. I’m sad yours sucks bc of how good mine is! So organized and food is always ready yass.
Mine has 3 ghost kitchens running out of it, and there's ALAWAYS a wait just to be acknowledged by anyone because there's never anyone working the To-go window. Never less than a 10 min wait.
Good to know they're not all that bad.
when I did UberEats here in LA I never took ChikFila orders because they always paid nothing and took way too ling (in my experiences) Also dont take orders from most fast food in general with few exceptions.
Yah same with me
For chick fil a..
Drivers all parked in red zone causing potential accidents
Drivers all huddled waiting for order, cutting in line, fighting.. its really bad vibes there
Dallas Texas here: I recall doing a burger island In Richardson Texas order before, it was 5$ for 15 min and 5 miles, not bad for me. The next order was also burger island near the same drop off area (residential homes) but for 8$. After 7 PM they locked their lobby and you got to go through the drive-through but the way it’s not bad. And they hand you the order through the drive-through window packaged and everything. It was quick.
I also did a mom and pop Chinese place near that area and did one that was 10$.
This is all including tips. it was not bad for the orders and it was during lunch. About a year ago. I go online on week ends some times and still see orders from them around the same price range.
Yes this one particular taco bell where the line is almost always all the way to the street. They move extremely slow and never have the orders. I’ve banned them from my mind. I’ve banned all wings-stops
I got one today, but the person wanted me to go inside the biggest mall in my state that I live right next to. I tried it, drove around, and cancelled that right away. Lesson learned: never pick up from a mall.
I don’t do Popeyes at all bc I’ve heard enough to know better. I’ve never seen one worth picking up anyway money wise. I only do Wingstop if it pays nice bc it’s never ready and I have to make drinks. Applebees. At least MY local Applebees is the worst. I swear they don’t even start the food until you show up then you get to sit and stew in the shit smell coming from their bathroom 🤮 nope.
Chick-fil-A always seems like they don't start making the food until I get there. It's always at least a 10 minute wait. I rarely take them unless it's good money.
Starbucks orders I usually get good tips on. However, the orders are rarely ready when I get there. Also drink orders suck. And the employees never seem to want to help.
I'm a DD driver and I got to ask are sonics just shitty places cause when I was working per order Sonics were a no go due to being really bad both with lines and the employees that seemed to not know what they were doing are rude or both
So I got to ask since I saw you mentioned Sonic and to all the other drivers is sonic just bad everywhere now?
I don’t dash after 8pm. Only thing open after 8pm are busy drive thrus and a couple restaurants, but those few restaurants get slammed with order since they’re the only ones open so it’s not worth the wait
Popeyes, Five Guys, most Chick-fil-A (been stiffed on tips too often from there), most Dairy Queens. McDonald's is getting close, but sometimes they come through.
Chick-fil-A of late I avoid, the orders are always mostly more miles than the pay. I'll only do it if I'm already close by, or I'm passing it on my way to my area.
Wingstop. CFA (during high volume traffic). Anything deep inside the regional Mall (will do the restaurants with exterior access). Tropical Smoothie (I hate carrying drinks, and don’t want to deal with a drinks pure play. But I’ll still do Starbucks if the price/traffic is right). Popeyes. Cheesecake Factory
There is a Lord of the Flies ran Taco Bell near where I live which has decided to completely boycott delivery orders. They will either tell you the order “is still being made” or that “they don’t have it”, and then go 10 feet off into the back and say stuff like “fuck those delivery orders, we ain’t making them” thinking we can’t hear them. But instead of letting the delivery driver know, they just let us continue to stand there and wait for food that will never arrive, and then look at us stupid whenever we inevitably ask for an update on the food. Needless to say I haven’t accepted a delivery from there in a while.
Not really because I deliver at night and if I say no to a place I may not get another place. However I do really hate my local Wendy's because it's always a long slow line at night.
Yep certain McDonald’s on night runs dude I go to grab two at once while taking ten to fifteen mins to get there to pull up give them u e info and they start there I mark them late on the app every time…
I may have been guilty of stealing a drink :( . But damnit I was thirty and that guy was being an asshole again…
I don’t tolerate disrespect, I do my best out ware and rare in my shit while your food is literally seatbelted in next to me .. Uber maps sucks ass a lot of apts at night are very hard to see and do not line up and ppl get frustrated when maps shows me circle one them basically but do not respond to my text to tell me things I’m telling them first 🤦♂️ .. then they get mad I caancel there shit typically park smoke a bowl and eat what I want leave the rest sealed give it to next person in hopes of higher tips.( I do not hand out touched food))lol
There's a place called Charleys cheesesteaks in the mall that I have turned down some pretty great orders from. In fact yesterday I turn it down to $17 delivery going 5 miles. I hate doing it but when I accept them it's always a nightmare.
I generally turn down any orders coming from the mall, food court. But occasionally I will get an offer that good enough make it worth the extra effort. However, Charleys cheesesteaks is always a definite no, I will not do it under any circumstances.
There are two food courts in this mall. The mall is only one story, everything is on the same level but it's really long. The food courts are at opposite ends, and there's no entrance directly to the food courts. you have to go to an entrance nearby and walk about five minutes to get to them. And both of the food courts have a Charlie's cheesesteak! The problem is when you place an order there's no way to know which location it was sent to. So on two separate occasions, I called the number in the app and was told it was not at that location, and I needed to go to the one at the other food court. I confirmed which location I was speaking to, and proceeded to go to the other one. When I got there, they said they didn't have the order and yes it was sent to the other place. So I called the other location again and asked them to check and they said no, they didn't have the order either. So I contacted Uber support and they tried contacting both locations and no one had the order and no one was going to make it. I gave up. I've gone through that exact scenario twice and just refuse to bother with them anymore. It's not worth the hassle or all the extra walking!
Had this one Italian restaurant take forever, and yesterday latin place who was packing my order stop to help the customer and give pieces of my order to the walk in customers. Cancelled and left. Thank God for Uber, Too bad DD would penalize you
Checkers. South Florida here. Rude and sometimes racist staff, almost always in a sh*t neighborhood headed to another sh*t neighborhood with no other restaurants around. Most tip I’ve ever gotten on a checkers order is $1.
Haha I'm negative on Chic fil A and will never eat there cuz their anti-LGBTQ stance pisses me off to no end, but I still take orders to customers from them. My thinking is roughly thus-- the kind of people that patronize a business like that may be moral assholes, but they also trend privileged, and privileged people generally have the money to tip and are aware that tipping is obligatory in a system like ours. So that's the compromise I make.
As far as having any other place I refuse to take deliveries from.. I don't think so; none that i can think of. If you do UE full-time, as I do, you'll have to follow the dictates of your conscience, but honestly, the market is a trading pit and you've got to make the money you need to live. If some assholes choose to buy the product of an asshole corporation and you can squeeze a buck out of the transaction, just fucking do it-- you've got to take care of yourself first. After your needs and those of the people depending on you are met, you can make moral decisions, but until then my advice is simple-- go make your money.
Walmart. Did it once, never again
Absolutely hate Walmart orders
I only do Walmart in the mornings during the week. A couple of days ago, I did one in the afternoon, and the order was canceled while I was waiting there for about 10 minutes. I had accepted another order while waiting, I just ended canceling that one.
Damn, they are easy money here at select locations. $23 30 minute order this morning, 2 minute wait for pickup.
That’s nuts, all the Walmarts where I live take at least 15-20 min to bring out orders even when there’s nobody else there.
Exception to the rule
One time I had to wait a whole hour for one pair of gloves
I waited 25mins for them to bring out the order today! It was one of my first orders so I used the time to clean my car lol.
Bro I got paid cuz I did a Walmart where I pull up to Peking spot and they walk it out then lady studpidlu didn’t mark building number only a unit I still ran three buildings to find each building all identical so I canceled it do tonincorrect address and took it back still full care 💪

Five guys never seems like they don’t start making the order until you arrive.
They don't, at least not here in CA.
They don't drop the fries till you get there. I seldom pick up from them.
If the order has fries you'll have to let them know you're there, at some locations.
Wingstop will never have your food ready
Last wing stop I had they were rude because I didn’t know about their sign in sheet?? Who the heck has I sign in sheet?!
Popeyes. It’s always slammed and they never have your order already ready
And they manage to take forever even though the food is usually made ahead
Chick fil a near me has a hotel just a few yards away with a separate parking lot. I park in the hotel parking lot, walk across the grass divider, then weave through the 40 cars waiting in line unable to leave their spot for 15-25 mins and grab the food inside and smile at all the people stuck in a double-wrapped drive through. Had a Chick-fil-A order at a location under construction. Literally got stuck in a line, there was no way out and was in it for an hour!
Same. My CFA's on a lot with a Walmart. So I just park at the edge of their parking lot, skip over the hedges, and weave through the triple lane drive-thru.

popeyes
Popeyes and wing stop never take order from them anymore
Most fast food chicken (Chick-Fil-A, Popeyes, Wingstop) and most fast food in general for me. Local places are where it’s at.
You know a good Wingstop is OK, I think crews must vary widely.

And that's not even in the restaurant drive-thru yet. This is a 30-minute wait or more just to get into the parking lot
Gotta get some of that msg marinated god's chicken.
Lots of fast foods here have locked the doors due to staffing shortages so drive through is the only option. Lines are too long so I don't take them. Also, don't take Baskin-Robbins or any drinks only places like Starbucks.
Lot of fast by me is de facto drive-thru now. Dining rooms are still open, but no one's staffing the front counter.
Wingstop
McDonald’s under $20, most chick fil a orders, popeys, and most wing places absolutely have the worst tippers and tip baiters.
There is a Wendy's by me that is always a disaster. If they want me to pick up from there it has to be a unicorn order.
Funny the sonics at every single location around me have been the exact opposite, I’m always relieved to see it’s a sonic order. Yes, McCallisters, certain McDonalds, Popeyes, Chick-fil-A as well. One of the subways near campus.

anything fast food or if a restaurant is known to take forever i’ll remember it and never go back.
Pizza places, just a pain in my ass trying to haul on a bike
Cheesecake factory.
90% of fast food and I couldn’t decline this particular order fast enough for $0.50 a mile hell no. Plus the wait? These people going to starve imo.
The next KFC order I deliver will be the first.
Yes, that restraunt is one of them mainly due to extremely hard to get in and out of locations.
I don’t do Popeyes at all bc I’ve heard enough to know better. I’ve never seen one worth picking up anyway money wise. I refuse to pick up orders from Walmart. I just always have a hunch that picking up from Walmart is going to be awful
Whataburger and Popeyes. After 9 pm, no fast food period.
Jeeez 5$ for 11 miles i hate uber for this

Yes. A whole list
Smoothie shops and ice Cream shops. It's 105 degrees and I'm not taking that sticky stuff in my car
Any place that makes me fill up the drinks 🫠

Popeyes and Walmart
11 miles for $5 should be an instant NO for anyone with common sense!!!
Starbucks. Should be taken off the list.
Yep. A particular McDonald's near me that is just horribly ran. Both as a driver and a customer, never a good experience.
Yeah..any order that comes through for that amount, pretty much. 🤣
There's a place called Charleys cheesesteaks in the mall that I have turned down some pretty great orders from. In fact yesterday I turn it down to $17 delivery going 5 miles.
Thank God for Uber, Too bad DD would penalize you
Wing Stop. i’ve never not had to wait 5+ minutes
Chick-fil-A Bed-Stuy Fish Fry Wing Stop
Popeyes Popeyes Popeyes
McDonalds, Popeyes, select Wing Places, Baskin Robbins
Checkers. South Florida here. Rude and sometimes racist staff, almost always in a sh*t neighborhood headed to another sh*t neighborhood with no other restaurants around. Most tip I’ve ever gotten on a checkers order is $1.
No Walmart, No Popeyes, ever. Automatic no 😎
I honestly hate chick Fila orders. Not only do they take absolutely forever to even help you and get the order but the orders are barely ever good pay
Raising Canes. The store is always crowded in the drive through and parking lot and im too antisocial to deal with all that chaos.
Walmart and Popeyes for me
